I think these are all the mods, trying to fix the brain-dead AI:

Project Ultimatum:
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40593

Puce Moose Tweak and Balance Center:
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35015

RSO - Realistic Stealth Overhaul NV:
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46628/

Enemy AI - Tactics - NPC Healing:
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39058

The problem is, I don't know if they work well together. Has anyone tried them in combination? AI behavior is harder to pinpoint compared to texture swapping.

You can try installing only what you want from the mods with Mod Organizer, but I don't know if it will work.
I also don't want new playable races or other silly shit, but you can ignore it if there is no problems with STUN.

Is there any decent alternatives to Warzones? I like the idea of faction skirmishes but all the new locations and the amount of enemies and new spawn points is a bit much, and it seems to cause incompatibility issues with other mods due to all those new spawn points and locations.

I've run into a weird consistent crash. Any time I try to enter Mick and Ralph's it loads for a few seconds and then crashes with an 'Out of Memory' error. I've gotten that crash before while playing for a few hours straight and that's understandable but I can't figure out what's causing this one. Even if I save right in front of the door, close the game, reopen the game, and immediately go in I still get the error. I'm using the anti-crash, anti-stuttering, 4GB, and purge cell plugins plus ENBoost and outside of this crash the game runs extremely smoothly.

It might be a corrupted cell. I don't know if those can be fixed manually, you may have to just avoid the location and try if you can enter it later. Sometimes these Gaybryo issues fix themselves.

Does it only happen like that with M&R's?
Do you have any mod that alters that location?
Have you tried travelling away, sleeping for a few days and coming back?

- So far it's the only location that gives me this problem.
- None that directly focus on it. I have Uncut Wasteland and the New Vegas Uncut mods (including Freeside Open) which might restore removed clutter and items in the shop.
- No, I'll try that later when I play.

It's definitely a problem with Freeside Open, I'm getting the same error while just exploring the place and entering some of the other buildings. The author warns that it can cause instability, which combined with the 2K texture replacements I'm using is likely too much for the shitty Gamebryo engine. It's a shame because the mod is pretty awesome, it makes Freeside into a much livelier and atmospheric place than it regularly is and restores quite a bit of cut content.

I'm gonna uninstall it and load a save to before I entered Freeside and hope that fixes the problems.

That's the one that merges both "sides" of freeside, right?
If it is, I do remember having problems with it, and the one that did the same for the casino street.

There's a few of them that do it but this is the one I was using.

It merged the two halves of Freeside plus the Mormon Fort and added in cut NPCs and dialogue. If the author would update and optimize the mod it'd be a must-have for me.

For those interested, there's a mod called JSawyer Ultimate Edition. It's a remake of the original mod but fixes bugs and issues that jsawyer had since it was never really finished. Includes scripted in-game patching for modded items and it seems to be working fairly well.

Anyone know how to get this to play nicely with CCO's Gameplay Changes? On starting a new game I noticed that the tag skills are still functioning as a +15 boost, like in vanilla. I didn't have this issue with the original jsawyer, but I'd prefer to use this version if possible.

EDIT: Nvm, the option to change tag skills to be like this is in the JSawyer Ultimate MCM menu anyways. I'm an eejit

It even has an option to remove those psychic ticks on the compass! Now if I could only find something to stop the cursor changing colour when hovering over an aggressive NPC, my life would be complete.

Doing another playthrough with Jsawyer mod and DLCs only. Now that I got to Freeside and outskirts the game started crashing. I never had any problems with CTDs when playing vanilla and this is the furthest I have progressed with Jsawyer on. The load order is as before, NV - DM - HH - OWB - LR - GRA - weapon packs. NV_lang, I put that second, don't know if it matters.

nvm, this game is cursed, I'll never finish it, it's not meant to be

I made a mod to remove enchantments from all apparel and armor. Now the most common enchantment will be +1 Perception, added to almost all headgear, since it protects your eyes from the sun. I guessed you guys may enjoy it, since it makes builds more important now that you can't just equip a lab coat to increase your Science and Medicine.

Anyone played Beyond Boulder Dome yet? I'm kind of undecided about downloading it (it's in 5 parts).

It's shit like all quest mods, so go ahead. And it is in 5 parts because the authors are morons and don't realize their mod is barely 800MB, while NMC's Texture Pack has single downloads of up to 1.1GB.

Gentlemen -

I am looking for some feedback with regard to a minimal mod play-through of New Vegas. I don't really care for graphic overhauls, cut content and other core game-changing mods, but am open to any suggestions you all may have. Reading the forums and doing some of my own research, thus far I have ascertained that the following mods (along with any prerequisites that may not be listed) are recommended (in no particular order):

1) Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP
2) 4GB Fallout New Vegas Updated
3) NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash
4) JSawyer Ultimate Edition
5) MTUI
6) Interior Lighting Overhaul
7) Nevada Skies
8) UIO - User Interface Organizer
9) One HUD - oHUD
10) New Vegas Stutter Remover

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'd advice installing Project Nevada for the gameplay enhancing functions, you can safely deactivate any mechanic you want to keep it as vanilla as possible while taking advantage of some cool quality-of-life improvements (grenade hotkey, toggleable zoom, etc..). Plus, it allows you to tweak some balancing variables to unretard some things.
Also, WMX for a better, more comprehensive weapon modding.

Much appreciated; will look into it.

Asking just in case, you are using Mod Organizer right?

Realistic Wasteland Lightning Enhanced > Nevada Skies. Alternatively RWL non-Enhanced if you don't want weather variations such as rain.
Install Vanilla UI Plus and JIP Improved Recipe Menu but let MTUI override Vanilla UI Plus.
If you use JSawyer Ultimate Edition, be sure not to use Project Nevada's Rebalance Plugin, they'll conflict.

Following mods are highly recommended as they make gunplay feel good:
1st Person Weapon Animation Overhaul
Real Recoil
More Realistic Aiming

Using Nexus Mod Manager. Those suggestions look great, thanks. I assume that I can use the other Project Nevada plugins (i.e. not Rebalance) in conjunction with JSawyer Ultimate Edition?

I may pass on the gunplay mods, as I would prefer to not load up the mod list with too many game-changing mods; I have looked through them though and do appreciate what they do.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Infantry if you decide a final list of mods could you post it? I think I want to restart with some proper mods in...and choosing them is hard for me
