Need some help with Beyond Divinity please!

My human is a warrior. I am level 10, with 28 strength and 10 accuracy. I am using a broad sword and shield. My damage is "51-85." The problem is that when I attack, it says "no damage" over and over. I am fighting level 10 humans leaving the top part of the first dungeon. I have improved his slashing accuracy by 1 and damage by 1.

The broad sword is the best one handed weapon I've found so far. I'm just not sure what the problem is. I could add slashing damage, but the tooltip shows a very minimal change in damage if I do this. What am I missing?

I have 2 rings equipped... 1 rogue's copper ring of endurance and one wiseman's copper ring.

Made it to the second level just now, but I'm uninstalling this. The voice acting and dialogue is utterly terrible, the combat completely mindless and tiring (it actually feels worse than Lionheart), the gameplay extremely tedious. I mean who's idea was it to have trash piles that do nothing and have no purpose show up as highlighted objects? The interface is also really fucked up. This game did in 20 minutes what it took POE 10 hours to do (bore me to the point of complete frustration).

Beyond Divinity is crap. It shouldnt be canon for the series or even mentioned in the same breath.
Divinity -- Dragon Knight SaGa -- Original Sin. I tried so hard to like it, but not even a storyfag like me could get over the first couple hours.
they even managed to fuck up zix zax
