Well here's an steel variation of it...Not as pretty, but there's narry an inch of exposed vulnerable wood on it. On either version, I might try to put glowing, swirling protection "ward" runes on them. But not sure yet whether or not I can embed those as part of the Blender .FBX and have that texture be recognized by Lumberyard, or if that would have to be a separate particle effect added on each chest. We'll find out soon once I try to import something (probably in the next few days). Still the actual tumblers to work out.

You know I were watchin that adaptation o Terry Brook's Elfstones of Shannara other day, wunt be surprised if Riftwar were already optioned an being worked on by somebody (though i'd start wi Silverthorn personally) wi all Game o Thrones hype, think we'll only get another Midkemia game at that time. Hope they make a better job on it though, cos that Shannara series is an absolute fuckin abortion, losing every good thing from books.

I've heard that the adventuring group goes to a rave and watches a bunch of old Star Trek tapes in one of the later episodes, but even that wasn't enough to make me watch the show.

Say nealiios, is it too early to comment on how optimized the game seems to run?
One of my biggest beefs with Unity games is how much space they take and how unevenly they run, not to mention occasionally overheating my toaster. Do you encounter anything similar here?

Right now I'm just running inside the editor so I don't know what the real numbers will be (I'm having a problem with external builds right now...don't think it's a Lumberyard problem, it's a something-got-janked-on-my-computer problem and so it does wanky things at the moment.) That said it seems to run somewhere between 40-50 fps right now.

Sorry for the delay in getting the next full dispatch of Krondor Confidential out to you (doing some research right now), but in the meantime I thought you might enjoy a small excerpt of the narrative timeline from the original design documentation. This rough, condensed timeline of events helped me keep track of critical plot points as I wove everything together. I rendered it on an “Earth” calendar rather than a Midkemian one for my own, easier comprehension of the time involved.

These are scans of my original, private documentation, never before seen by anyone else but me before now. No huge revelations here, but thought it might be of interest to hardcore fans who want to track the narrative threads from their origins.

I don't have much to add other than I've never played Betrayal At Krondor, but the game apparently is fully playable on DOSBox Turbo for Android.

So, you can essentially play this game on an Android tablet. Pretty cool, huh? Lots of RPGs are compatible with tablets and makes for a lot of fun digging through these old gems and checking them out with touch controls and the like.

I didn't just like it, I loved Oblivion. I spent countless hours just wandering the beautiful countryside, exploring ruins and doing quests. It's a lovely game to mod as well, as my recent LP that I have on my YouTube channel demonstrates.

I did a Let's Play in 4K for Oblivion, which I believe is one of the first 4K Let's Plays avaiable on YouTube. If I were more motivated I would make more 4K Let's Plays, but alas, I'd rather play tablet games. :)

Oblivion is a great game even with the level-scaling and without mods. Combined with the visuals and the music and it's just a lovely, lovely game to get lost in.

You like wandering around an gettin lost in a gameworld, then Kingdom o Isles is right up your alley, secrets behind every other hill, puzzle chests, buried caches, ambushes that you can spot an avoid, skills that interact wi your explorations, villages an locales along path, strangers to meet on the road, traps an puzzles to negotiate, and mysteries to ponder.

2. Inventory is a lesson to every new game that prioritises selling crap to create busywork, every item in BaK is useful or valuable, to the point where you'll face srategic choices on what you want to carry. You ave to juggle stuff, ditch some stuff an make choices, rather than whining that you want everything an dev givin in to babbys crying wi an infinite stash.

3. Characters, they literally (get it) spring to life off o computer screen, Gorath an Owyn more so than any others. In any other game Owyn'd be a whiny git who you wunt stand for long, in Krondor he's a good lad, bit wet behind ears and inexperienced, but theres an honest charm to him. Gorath is one o few Elves that I like, an considerin I hate most of those fantasy gits thats sayin someat. Hes a bro, dangerous, rough, an a warrior born but also at times philosophical an full of surprises.

4. Writing, it draws you in, its just right length to do so and theres always something to read, examine or interact wi on road that rewards you wi some damn fine prose. This game, Torment an some parts o Witcher 3 are what i'd say were some o best writing in games. Matches or exceeds source material.

5. Intuitive an easy to play, takes a bit of gettin use to like most old games, but within an hour or two everythin'll become second nature and playing game is as simple as left or right clicking, an using movement keys.

6. Depth, this game bares out old maxim, easy to play, difficult to master. You'll want to change your specialisations on fly, get good at repair, learn how to heal an rest your wounds, practise your barding, be wary of some places an opponents, take advantage of any opportunity to learn and explore an backtrack.

7. Plot, one o best in gaming, no other way to say it. Everything makes sense, everything draws together perfectly and its so bloody engaging. As a GM i've shamelessly nicked bits an pieces from BaK over years, an thats highest praise I can gi it.

Go to GOG, buy it, play it.

Weren't really brief were it.
