Fallout Tactics Enhanced Characters Startpack

This mod was made for people who are too lazy / incompetent to modify recruit files themselves, yet still want to start the game with better than default recruits.
If you don't like the changes I made, feel free to modify the files yourself.

1) What's the deal?

Initial team memebers in FOT-BOS were always getting on my nerves. You start the 1st mission with two soldiers (Farsight & Stitch) whose "builds" are pre-defined and cannot be changed by you. Your protagonist is the only unit in the entire game which you can create from scratch. Getting best perks for your squad memebers is sometimes p. hard (requires you to level them up first and then use "Mutate!" or "Gain X" perks to change their traits / stats).
Getting acces to the Recruitment Pool (after completing Mission #1) makes things easier (you can choose from an increasing pool of recruits), but almost all available recruits have some flaws (useless traits / perks).

The goal of this mod is to modify the initial 5 recruits (Farsight, Stitch and three Lv. 1 Initiates available in Bunker Alpha: Robin, Jax & Thorn), so they can get good perks later in the game, without the need of modifying their stats / traits first (or after minimal modification - 1-2 stats).
By "good perks" I mean:
- Bonus Ranged Damage (AG6, LK6),
- More Criticals (LK6),
- Sharpshooter (PE7, IN6),
- Action Boy (AG5),
- Bonus Rate of Fire (AG7, PE6, IN6).

2) What was changed:

- Charisma for all characters was reduced to 1. Gained stat points were spent to increase other stats. Use protagonist if you need charismatic character (barter, "Leader" perk).
- All original traits and perks were removed. You can choose them yourself during the game, either directly (perks) or via "Mutate!" perk (traits).
- All recruits gained an additional perk point. The goal of this was to allow you to choose one trait by yourself, for "free", as long as you wait till Lv. 9 ("Mutate! perk). Of course, you can spend this perk point right away (the moment you reach Lv.2, which makes first two (shitty) perks available).

Tagged skills were left untouched, since you can't change them via game interface, only by using an editor (or a "Tag" perk later in the game).

3) How does it actually look:

a) Farsight

Modifications:
- CH -4
- LK +2
- ST +1
- EN +1

Original build:

Modified build:

b) Stitch

Modifications:
- CH -4
- LK +1
- PE +2
- AG +1
- Brought him back from Lv.2 to Lv.1 by removing the EXP, +5 HP increase and skill points, originally spent to increase Small Guns and Doctor.
- Removed his "Good Natured" trait.

This made him worse doctor, but much better ass-kicker.

Original build:

c) Robin

Modificiations:
- CH -2
- ST +1
- LU +1

Usage: extract included directories/files to the main directory of FOT-BOS, overwriting original files. Don't worry about creating backups, they are included in my file.

That is all.

Testing was made easier due to some level editing:

Fallout Tactics No Random Encounters Mod

As many of you know, random encounters in FOT-BOS are borked, due to engine reliance on CPU cycles (currently way too high).
This can be supposedly fixed by forcing vsync with external software.
You can also use Redux Mod, which supposedly fixes this issue, but introduces various gameplay changes...

But there's also another, much more radical solution: removing all random encounters altogether, as it's explained here.

Special encounters are not affected by this!

Usage: extract included directories/files to the main directory of FOT-BOS.
