New version of MS paint (starting with... Vista? Or 7?) has some extra toggles and effects in it, including edge smoothing on some of the brushes and water-color/paint-brush effects. It is not the pixel-sprayer of yester-decade.

Paint included in Windows 7 is a true New Shit (tm). Once it was a poor man's version of Deluxe Paint. And a bad joke, considering they haven't upgraded it in literally more than a decade. Now it's a beggar version of Paint.Net. All flaws of the latter and no advantages, operated by an atrocious ribbon interface. If you ever wondered if it's possible to break MS Paint... there it is, worse than ever before.
