Missed a clue.

 After playing the first bit of the game twice and reading the many helpful comments from this forum, I restarted in Kellen. Did everything the good way, and have been pleased with the results. But one problem with doing it again is that you forget what you know and when knew it. I was able to get Hyric to join the party, but neglected to go through all of the conversation prompts first. So I missed all of the history about the Valley that Hyric gives.

I can go to another saved game and reread the information, but will my current party be shut out of anything because I don't have the appropriate entries in my Journal? Based on the prior subjects fiscussed, I'm guessing not, but wanted to know before I go too far.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing Hyric says is critical to progression, it's just flavor and background info, which can be useful, but isn't necessary.
