You reach down and you flip the tortoise over on its back, Guest. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping. Why is that, Guest? Why are you not helping?

I'm happy to provide a comprehensive Mass Effect 3 pre-release info bundle.

If you really don't have anything better to do, you can take part in the hunt for your very own Mass Effect 3 Space Edition.

In other fantastic news it became known that, in a very generous gesture, BioWarEA decided to offer the first DLC on day one. Only $10.

Despite the good news, the editors at Gameranx found this day 1 DLC money making scheme unacceptable. Hippies.

BioWare's Michael Gamble commented on the DLC:

Lastly, there's a hands-on preview over at the Guardian.

They are not sending anything into space. You can't get to space in a balloon. Marketing bullshit reigns supreme :decline:

But somehow they had time to fully test it and include it on the disc.

    Mass effect field.

So, everytime something ancient and cool and super is revealed to exist/have existed in a scifi setting, the mystery WILL be revealed and thusly cheapened at some point.

A prothean squadmate? The ultra ancient civilization, etc, etc, and I bet he'll be no more mature than an adolescent human?

I could feel such levels of cheapness heightened only if an Alien movie wherein the backstory of the "space jockeys" is explained came out.

50,000 years in stasis, eh? Interesting and I'm sure bioware added all new dialog for pretty much everyone in the entire galaxy to respond to this new squad mate, right? Strolling around with a 50,000 year squad mate from a race thought to be extinct should generate some serious buzz.

Speaking of 50,000 years, I'm having a bigger problem with "all organic life in the Galaxy cleansed every 50,000 years". Seriously? You'd think those doctors at Bioware know "organic life" doesn't just appear out of nowhere and evolve into sapient species in such short time. Shit, we had humans living caves 50,000 years ago. I guess the Reapers just missed them.

The biotards have already explained this.... The reapers ignored them and just focused on the techy races. I guess they didn't want to absorb cave man genes and mess something up. Seems pretty logical to me.

No, there will be a prequel for that. The Reapers came to Earth 50,000 years ago but an ancestor of Shepard drove them back after discovering a cache of Prothean weapons. DLC will include a sentient dinosaur who survived the extinction.

The important question is, will there be an alternate outfit DLC for him/her/it? And if so, what will the lore be behind it? Did they find an ancient Prothean clothing store?

I can't wait to ride that dinosaur wielding sniper rifles in each hand as it picks up enemies and EATS them, then dropping the rifles for instant force power regeneration so I can case my forcelighting on the reapers and kill them by the hundred.
