daily reminder that Max Payne 3 was the best 3rd person shooter ever made and no one learns from it.

The stealthy approach resulted in over 20 deaths. Way to go.
These fucktards have the nerve to claim the game offers a variety of approaches to mission goals.
Whistle stealth is indeed a thing here.
Assassinating a mobster has to happen not in a restaurant, not on the street, but on the top floor of a skyscraper, in his office.
I was hoping for a nice story and acting. Then I heared ebul Italian mob is allied with the bufoon KKK stand-in. Of course, bad guys have to form leagues so there is no trace of doubt left in the retard player's mind as to who the bad guys are.

More precisely, it "only" had the best third-person shooter mechanics ever. It still suffered from horrible mission design and off-putting stupid writing.
What's wrong with the mission design? what's wrong with the writing compared to its predecessors?

Mission design sucked balls but the writing was significantly better than the originals' terrible strings of unrelated metaphors.

But 3 was ok

To be honest, they were all three very enjoyable!

Max Payne 3 despite its flaws, was beautiful.

Dunno if i say that because in the same period i gone terribly bald and put some weight on, tho, maybe it helped the immersion:negative:

Draw distance looks terrible in that latest video. I know that for some it may be minor thing but it really distracts me in games when i see objects and textures showing up 5 meteres before my character face.

I will always have soft spot for San Andreas, but GTA 5 is leagues better than 4 (OC). Gay Tony was great

I really miss the exploration aspect from previous games, though. (4 didn't have it either).
Weapons, armors, health packs, get-out-of-jail cards ... there was so much to discover in the world of SA.
Compared to that, 4 and 5 feel like a barren wasteland.

GTA V literally has more weapons and customization and all that shit than any other GTA game. The only thing its missing is a jet pack given in a mission.

You totally missed my point. GTA5 has nice things, but you buy them all in the shop.
There's no hidden beach cave where you'll find a rocketlauncher, no armor on a skyscraper roof, no minigun up ladder in a remote alley.

Again, it's all still there.

There's still hidden rpg's, there's still hidden body armor, there's still hidden items. Obviously it's not going to wow you like it did a decade ago.

Gta 5 is a fine game and it has one of the most beautiful environment ever created in a videogame, the problem is they could have done way more with that city.

The game misses a lot of interiors, missions types and stuff. A lot of the world feels just like simple scenery.

A single player Dlc could help to add such things but they are entirely focused on online.

Btw, i'm the only one who really loved the IV? characters, atmosphere, city and all?

Gta 4 is a bad game. It probably has the most repetitive mission structure of all main gta games.

The controls sucked and the game was missing a lot of content.

What does gta v miss in interiors? The only other gta with more interiors was 4 but that was a smaller game.

Gta V has less main missions than previous GTA games but I didn't have much of a problem with it. They cut out the fluff. There's less drive bys and less missions where you just go and kill someone.

All gta games have the same repetitive structure, so, what's the point?

Control were fine and at least they released some single player dlc content instead of scrapping the game for online.

San Andreas? Casinos, clubs, gym, lot of mission interiors too

The problem with GTA 5 is that they're spending all their time on MP content and none of it on SP.

The problem with GTA 4 was that it's pure garbage. Except for the Oscar-quality writing, of course.

Mazisky GTA 4 needed single player dlc because the main campaign was mostly shit. The ballad of gay Tony was more fun than the main campaign and that says a lot.

Pretty sure gta v has more clubs than San Andreas. There are more missions in gta v with interiors than San Andreas.

Like I said, gta v cut out most of the fluff so you're not left with 90 missions that have a lot of repetition and instead you have 69 with far less.

GTA V could have used more Heists, since that was hyped as one of the main draws. And I mean SP, doing the Online Heists with random people makes one need to break out Ibuprofen.

Pfft. Just because there's ONE RPG you can find and ONE Minigun doesn't mean "it's all still there". You could find something around every corner in SA, in GTA5 it's a version of Bilbo's too little butter on too big a loaf of bread. And then there's GTA Online, where everything is much worse still.

SA had so much other stuff in it that was removed in 4 and 5, too - like how eating many burgers made you fat, working out made you muscular, how you could build up your gang and capture territories, vehicle missions when you stole a taxi or a firetruck or a policecar or whatever ... all those features. Lost, like tears in the rain.

That's why the Saints Row 2/GTA IV debate still rages on. IV's fundamentals are better, but SR2 just had so much more. More activities, far far more customization, gang wars and takeovers, etc. It even had a pretty damn decent story. Darker, too. The PC was kind of a sociopath in select cut-scenes. He'd go from reasonable and personable to doing some horrific shit.

There's more than one rocket launcher, minigun etc. I just provided you with examples

If anything you should be mad that gta 4 removed all those features. Gta V didn't need to bring back most of them and still did.

Random characters and Side missions replaced the cop car and paramedic missions I'd take the former over the latter any day.
It's always the same argument from all you San Andreas fanatics. You bring up petty things like eating a burger to become a fat ass and ignore the improvements. Why do you need a gang mechanic when the story of gta IV or V isn't centered around gangs?

GTA 4 still has those police car. GTA V still has the taxi missions, you just have to buy a taxi company now to access them.

GTA V improved the property buying system from San Andreas, has more overall activities, random encounters and content in general. Plus, it doesn't have any of the bad missions that San Andreas had nor does it have the girlfriend mechanic.
