It's been a while since I've contributed to the playground, so come along on a magical adventure where I press the awesome button in NWN2: Storm of Zehir!

So who will lead our party into combat?

This is Codexer, you might recognize him from my DAO: Awakening LP, he's back for the SoZ LP. He's a chaotic neutral rouge and despite having survived the derp that is DA, he's ready for another adventure!

As some of you may know, you must create your own party at the start of SoZ...

So make your characters. 32 stat points to distribute freely among the stats. State your class and your race, a short description/basic appearance and your character's alignment.

When we have a suitable party assembled the great blood bath adventure shall commence! So do your Codexian duty, and join the Kodex (dungeon) Krawler Krew.

This is wonderful, and I love you for this, and I hope you won't abandon this.

I wanna reserve a spot, I just need to think up a suitable character build...

Alright, here it goes. I've been wanting to try out this build anyway.

    Name: Bee
    Sex: Female
    Race: Sun Elf
    Class: Wizard/Rogue --> Arcane Trickster
(Wizard should get more emphasis, of course)
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

I need Dexterity 17 for improved two weapon fighting, Intelligence 20 for obviously what, the rest of the stats can stay as low as they please. (Any spare points should go into Constitution!)

Do you need my skill preferences or will you handle the skills, etc., yourself?

Oh, and make Bee look somewhat decent.

    Human Wizard (Necromancer), Chaotic Evil

    Strength 8
    Dexterity 16
    Constitution 12
    Intelligence 18
    Wisdom 10
    Charisma 8

Worships Velsharoon, the only deity willing to put up with his kill-then-reanimate everything bullshit (If your willing to do some modding, have him worship Ghaunadaur, my favorite realms god, but I ain't playin no 2 ECL pointy-eared darkie)

Devout Background (devoted to death and mayhem)

Do the skills however you want, so long as you max-out lore, spellcraft, and concentration.

I selected the Spell-Penetration (lol penetration) and Spell-Focus Necromancy feats.

Jagreen is, as I said before, a Necromancy specialist Wizard.

Jagreen Lern is a tall, gaunt, swarthy-skinned man with a shaved head, a full beard, and black, dead eyes. His primary concern in life is the accumulation of arcane knowledge. His secondary concern is murdering people to raise as undead servants.

Feats: Spellcasting Prodigy, Augmented Healing, Toughness, whatever else you want

    Skills: Concentration, Spellcraft, Healing

A short, scholarly powergamer out to crush the opposition in exchange for grant money. His healing will keep the other degenerates alive and for most of SoZ, fireball will come in pretty handy.

Huh. Can't remember the exact rules, is there an online character generator somewhere to play around with?

If not, then.. Will edit post to include build

    Pariah Zeal
    Human Warrior
    Chaotic Neutral
    Veteran background
Deity, whatever lets him kill and maim with abandon. :smug:

    STR- 17
    DEX- 17
    CON- 8
    INT- 14
    WIS- 8
    CHR- 8

Have him go full derp with two-weapon fighting, and have him specialize in something ridiculous, such as scythes. Be sure to pick up Monkey Grip early. :smug:

Tall, unshaven, not too wordy. Lived-in clothes, always dressed in armour. Green eyes, blond hair.

[Edit] For full derp, reshuffled stats, lower con makes him frail, but lets him take Weapon Master skill later if you build him right (combat expertise, dodge, mobility, spring attack, whirlwind attack), for more rapage with his dual scythes..

    STR- 14
    DEX - 8
    CON - 14
    INT - 10
    WIS - 12
    CHA - 18

Somebody is needed for rat diplomacy. And in this case, as CHA is the main stat for spellcasting, it's not a dump stat.

Specialize in combat and diplomacy, focusing on offensive spells because there is already a cleric for the healing job. Weapon focus on Battleaxe obviously as a backup when offensive spells aren't available.

Also because of being Favored Soul of Auril, goddess of ice, mandatory Ice Queen reference from Oglaf.

Appearance: Any combination that looks EVIL, silver eyes (red if you can't), silver hair.

He'll focus on killing, maiming and burning. Later on make him a weapons master for more overkill. And his skills will mostly focuse on collargrabbing with EXTREME Intimidation (plus whatever you think it will be useful).

WIOW! I didn't expect this LP to get so many replies, thanks all!

If I have a coin of life I'll ressurect them, otherwise the character is going to be replaced by another submission.

BTW I'm kinda busy right now, have to go to school (It's 8:11 AM in the netherlands) SO LP won't start until I'm back. So expect the first update this afternoon/evening or tommorow.

I always wanted to be part of a Codex LP.

I'm no good with prestige classes (or minmaxing for that matter) so here goes my completely ordinary submission:

    Regdar, human fighter 6/frenzied berserker

    16
    13
    14
    13
    10
    8

    Skills: Intimidate, Listen and Taunt.

Feats: Get power attack, cleave and great cleave at level 4, plus Weapons focus and spec (Falchion). Other is up to you, but I advise combat expertise and working towards whirlwind attack - it's underpowered shit but quite spectacular. :smug:

If you are against combat expertise/Whirlwind attack, then go like this:

    18
    12
    14
    8
    10
    8

And lose Listen as a skill.

I wish you luck and a gruesome death to my competitors for the role of main tank. :salute:

A thief can also help the party avoid wandering monsters. What he can't do, on the other hand, is make the party faster when it's trudging through the jungle.

Well, here's the ranger you can use:

For skills, divide equally between Hide, Move Silently, Listen, Spot, Search and Survival. Sneaky dual-wielding ranger with sneaky animal companion. Perfect for scouting.

    STR/DEX/CON/INT/WIS/CHA: 15/11/9/13/15/18 (sort of)

Keep raising the STR and CHA as you go along, I guess. Rest is up to your discretion.

    UPDATE 1: Introduction

Allright let's play! Time to introduce our band of adventures

This is Lightbane, he's a true adventurer, checking every corner of a dungeon for hidden loot. His many adventures left him with a high charisma, so he's able talk his way out of sticky situations. He hopes to find his fortune in Samarach. He's cold and distant though and does not easily trust someone.

This dwarf's name is Crichton. He fought in the shadow war, and even met the Knight-Captain during the defense of Crossroad Keep. He has seen enough of war though, and wishes to build a new life in Samarach.

And this is bee, A young female sun elf who's also a wizard. she just seeks adventure and thinks there's enough in Samarach

[IMG] Ugh, my head - feels like it's been ripped in half

[IMG] Quit your whining, at least we're still alive

[IMG] Whoa, that was quite the experience eh?

[IMG] How did we end up here?

[IMG] [Perception] It looks like they're carrying weapons.

[IMG] Her name is "Saldie" and she doesn't like humor? Irony?!

[IMG] They don't seem to be attacking... Do you think they're waiting for us or something else?

    [IMG] Great

Volo then decided to try and talk to our welcoming party

[IMG] We'll never stand a change against those creatures unless we're properly equiped

    [IMG] Agreed

We look around the beach and find a coin of life (can be used to ressurect dead party members)

We also use Bane to fashion some equipment out of the debris

[IMG] Here take theese, they might come in handy

We're arriving just in time as the creatures start kicking the crap out of everyone.

Fortunately my solid party build pays off

[IMG] Why is this idiot even in charge? We'll get killed becuase of him!

[IMG] Do you even know their language? I don't think so!

Yeah I'm sure that will convince them!

While killing the creatures, a Samarachan patrol comes to our aid.

[IMG] You've got to be kidding me!

[IMG] [Intimidate] Lay a finger on me, and I'll pull your arm out of it's socket.
    :yeah:

[IMG] [Diplomacy] Even if he heard her name only in passing that must mean he's travelled with some important crowds - and that arresting us might make powerful people angry.

Even EXTREME collargrabing won''t help here :(

It's like going through a US security check! :x

    [IMG] Great we're saved

LOL ingame referce to my Awakening LP :smug:

[IMG] You cant just let one unlawful arrest go without freeing the others... right?

    says a Yuan-ti :troll:

Things are finally starting to look a little better for our party.

That's it folks! Stay tuned for another update in the near future
