Anyway, if I had the money of Notch, I would open a codexian approved RPG publisher, if it paid it's bills backs I would very happy with it. I dunno, the dude doesn't has anything he enjoys doing?

I would create a AAA, multiplatform RPG just to troll popamolers. Bigger world than Elder Scrolls, best graphics, massive gotta-have-it marketing campaign, advertise tantalizing LARPing opportunities, paid-for reviews, coupons for free Dew and Doritos....with TOEE+ turn based combat, Wizardry punishing encounters, and more numbers than a financial report.

Can't he just travel around the world giving lectures on minecraft at universities? Works for useless hacks of former politicians talking about politics and "issues". Why should it not work for a hack of a game designer?

Personally I would just launch a new business. Hire some decent people, just be the "executive producer", "creative director" or whatever the fancy title for "I give money but have no idea how to do this shit properly" is. Of course, it would probably flop. But with 2 billion to burn he could repeat it ad museum until he dies of cardiac arrest, which won't be that far off judging by that candy wall of his.

With that kind of money, you could buy the rights to SMAC from EA and do a proper sequel/remake.

To my knowledge he has no actual income...

His workout includes walking to the candy wall and walking back to the couch.

Re: buying IP thing, it's easily within his price range. When THQ went bankrupt their stuff went for no more than $25 million for the top bids and as low as $500k for shit no one wanted like Homefront. This guy apparently loves games? There are no shortage of old IP's you could buy up and try to resurrect.

With all that money I would bribe with some millions all the shitposters and impolite people on the Codex to make them behave and be nice and gentle.

The answer is that he is fat so he is lazy and bored. He's unhappy because he likes ham too much. It's also why his woman dumped him.

Why do you think pigs feature so proeminently in Minecraft ?

With all that money he could contribute to developing cure for cancer, he could feed the hungry in afrca, he could help moon base program.

But no, he likes to eat ham and complain. Guess fat people will stay fat no matter what.

If I had his money I would fund a turnbased Pathfinder RPG with Tim Cain as lead designer and MCA as lead writer.

Also I'd hire JVC to do M&M 11 with the scope of WOX or MM6.

So now he's super-rich which means he can no longer trust any stranger to not have ulterior motives

That only shows why he failed.

He made lots of money. Lots. He shown his ugly face, his real name everywhere.

Now he hates the world because all people who "like" him only want to live off his wealth.

He has the money to start something that would get him active/working. A charity? A 'publisher' of sorts that helps funds worthwhile (yeah... I know) indie game projects? Does he have no other interests outside of partying and making shitty builder games?
I think the house he bought gives the answer. It's big and empty, and it looks soulless and boring. It fits.

Fat Nerd strikes big with a retard game and gets rich.

Scenario A.
Uses his newly found money for doing stuff he likes, only on overdrive. Buys a mansion between the woods. Plays eccentric loner. Finances a couple of cool projects and a couple of wacko ones. Remains fat, but lives the nerd dream.

Scenario B.
Sells his brainchild company, says "Fuck you" to his own country and friends by going to live in the Land of the Cool. Picks a luxurious but bland megahouse where Hollywood stars and all the "in" 'murican VIPs would go to party if the owner were someone else.

Picks B and fails.
Remains fat.

Notch biggest problem is that he has the worst taste.

His favourite musican is Skrillex, his favourite game is Team Fortress 2, he bought most soulless and kitsch looking mansion is the whole hollywood.

No wonder that even hes so rich no one intelligent wants to hang around with him.

He wont die normally.
Surrounded by gold digger chicks and false friends, he will be eaten alive by emptiness of his one dimensional shit life.

Eh...all of the "if I had his kind of money I'd do something with my life" posts tells me that people like Notch are quite common.

If he was a fit good looking dude he wouldn't feel half as bad, his problem is most likely rooted in low self esteem, and these depressed self hating nerds with money probably feel like they are still loosers and people will only hang out with them because of money.

Look at how happy that Bilzerian fucker looks.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
If I were rich, borderline depressed and suicidal, I'd probably just order a fuckton of videogame figures and spend millions on a single commission for porn artists I like.
