Just a small correction, your troops are marching to the Black Sea, not the Baltic Sea. That one has Finland and Sweden pooping into it.

Thanks for the correction.

How long until Tsaritsyn falls btw?

A renewed attack has been postponed due to the torrential rain hitting the steppes. I have a lot of troops being trained by Lukomsky in Azov so the campaign will begin in spring. We're hoping for more successes in Siberian, though, to transfer Stalin's troops elsewhere.

As to be expected, Cossack commanders have been severely impacted by recent results. On the other hand, White officers have shown great skill on the Kuban and are beginning to gain traction amongst Denikin's staff for promotion.

Heavy losses have forced High Command to tap into the already precious supply of reserves for replacements. First, the Volunteer Army must be replenished.

pXrewz5.png

On the recruiting front, new Cossack regiments are ready to commence operations on the Kuban. We will need their ferocious speed to keep the Reds on their heels.

HInWwPT.png

With Ataman Krasnov's refusal to withdraw from Tsaritsyn, General Denikin decides to send whatever relief the Volunteer Army had in reserve. 5 armored trains from Ekaterinodar were swiftly sent north.

Clean up operations have commenced in the Kuban. Mai-Maievsky's I Corps will have the the honor of cleansing the river of Bolsheviks and protecting the Volunteer Army's flank.

Pokrovsky's II Cavalry Corps will mop up Red forces controlling the road linking Ekaterinodar with Azov. A smaller detachment under the talented Cossack commander Mamontov will hold for reinforcements.

From Bataisk, new cossack cavalry regiments are being assigned to link up with Shkuro's White Wolves in preparation with an advance on Grozny, preventing any escape.

News

Telegrams unexpectedly come in...

Die5JpJ.png

God is on our side! The Siberians have delivered a blow to the Bolsheviks on the Volga while Socialist uprisings are occurring throughout Russia. We will pray this run of good events continues.

With the liberation of Ukraine, General Pyotr Wrangel has finally made his way to us. As you can see, he is one of the White's most able generals. Denikin immediately grants him command of a Cossack force.

G0ineNM.png

'Comrade' Lenin has problems of his own, it appears.

IeyjEXC.png

They should have aimed for the head. The Cheka sound ominous, however.

The Front

fWdxChv.png

This has been a busy month. Denikin has had enough and managed to remove Ataman Krasnov from power. His corps commander, General Sidorin, has been been transferred to Ekaterinodar to meet with Denikin. General Denisov will take command of his troops.

YIozeYx.png

The Reds seem desperate.

The Don Army under General Bogaevsky quickly goes on the withdrawal. Thankfully, the rail lines were kept secure from Bolshevik raiders. The Army, if successful in evading Stalin's troops, will take positions on the Manych River and begin to lick its wounds.

kQhHRb0.png

The Don Army is able to slip away undetected!

fKtWe83.png

Red forces take Salsk. This won't be much of an issue since the Don Army will smash them like a bug. Pockets of Bolsheviks have been isolated between Pokrovsky and Lukhomsky's men. Soon, they will meet their Atheist deity.

ETgliVj.png

Mamontov will storm Armavir and proceed on to Grozny. Milita will remain to repair any rails that the Bolsheviks managed to tear up.

In the Caucasus, Shkuro's White Wolves will spearhead toward Piatigorsk in order to clear the rail line of the Reds. His force will make a dash toward the Caspian to rid the Turkish scum occupying the town. It is a risky move but a rewarding one if it prevents the Reds from retreating up the shore toward Astrakhan.

dRMgYN3.png

General Wrangel and his cossacks will move north of Grozny to keep an eye on the Red force protecting the Chechen city.

Mamontov's advance proceeds as scheduled

vFeO5xl.png

Eradication is the only result befitting Bolshevik scum.

sqD3TQo.png

All operations went smoothly, with the Kuban nearly secured from Red forces. The Cossacks begin their healing process while Mamontov's army is on the cusp of taking Grozny.

jaN7SmL.png

Once our rear is secure, we will come back to Tsaritsyn. This time, we'll take it.

News From Siberia

A great battle has occurred in Siberia that has lifted the hearts of Russian patriots!

SadagkJ.png

The liberation of Perm is a major step toward the control of the Volga. We hope to more of such news in the coming months, God Willing.

Kuban Front

As usual, the Cossacks continue to present major obstacles to Denikin's staff. On top of that, reports coming from all regions of rampant corruption continue to pour in.

IhtFKrR.png

In the previous months, the Southern Whites were able to secure all major cities without much fight. Now, the difficult task of bottling up the thousand of Bolsheviks trapped in the Kuban begins. While the main force under Mai-Maievsky regains cohesion, Cossack force under Ulagai will prowl the steppes for Red Scum.

mA6Jtiq.png

Remnants of the Taman front try to spearhead their way north toward Tsaritsyn. Ulagai's force scrambles to run them down but is misdirected by their scheming.

1e6SUz2.png

Denikin orders adjustments to be made. With ease, our cavalry hunt them down and make them pay.

odQU2Nf.png

Caucasus Front

Pokrovsky and Wrangel begin their move on Grozny. The former, armed to the teeth with 6 armored trains, will focus on the destruction of the Red force guarding the western entrance under 'Comrade' Zhloba. Grozny herself will be the latter's prize.

Shkuro's White Wolves, having been exhausted from forced marches, will rest while watching any fleeing Bolsheviks up the coast. There is a Red flotilla stationed at Astrakhan that will attempt to rescue if the occasion arises.

jCVXvaG.png

A major distaster is averted. Zhloba's men manage to sabotage the railways, bringing Pokrovsky's army to a halt. Wrangel's Cossacks, to their surprise, find Zhloba's 10k army in front of Grozny.

Only thanks to Wrangel's skills is a disaster averted.

Home Front

Months of unceasing fighting has rendered our the Volunteer Army heavily undermanned.

ZkTnxqg.png

Requisitions in our recently acquired territories are successful, earning the Southern Whites much-needed money and supplies. We waste no time issuing them again. We must bleed the Kuban dry until we can acquire major population centers able to sustain the fight!

DaAg61g.png

Kuban Front

With the majority of the Kuban cleanses from Bolshevik control, a major reorganization of forces is issued by Denikin. Detached divisions under Ulagai and Drozhdovsky are ordered to regain cohesion and men at Salsk..

An extremely harsh winter has ceased major operations from being carried on but conscripts are ordered to muster at Salsk to join Mai-Maievsky's Corps.

1oP6TgJ.png

A small division under General Borovsky, however, keeps pursuit of the remaining reds in the Taman Swamps near Ekaterinodar.

gC1nqNj.png

He makes quick work of the enemy, rendering them virtually destroyed.

eTbF02D.png

Cacausus Front

Then struggle against Grozny continues. Baron Wrangel was successful to evade Zhloba's army, withdrawing west of the city to repair the railroads so armored trains can finally advance.

f1kw4DF.png

Meanwhile, Pokrovsky eschews his trains and reaches Grozny to smash the Reds.

GzkvoKQ.png

A minor clash between the two forces is the result. 'Comrade' Zhloba, knowing full well our military prowess, is trying to avert a major confrontation with our Armies.

az7Lfqd.png

To what end, however? This makes me suspect the threat of an attempted rescue operation by the Red flotilla in Astrakhan a real possibility. Zhloba must not escape!

More news arrive

hrongs of people crowd the ports of the Black Sea to look upon a large fleet of ships off the coast. News quickly spreads that the Great War is over! The Allies have won!

Aq7mQtB.png

Most importantly, this means that the blasphemous Brest-Litovsk Treaty is now null and void. The German-occupied lands of the Russian Empire have now been emptied.

pcpfXls.png

In the vacuum left by the Germans, numerous parties now vie for power in Little Russia. Self-called Ukrainian nationalists have rejected the Bolshevik's imposition of a People's Republic, declaring Independence from all factions.

Too many Russians have fought and died for this Empire to let it go for nothing, however. Already, the Volunteer Army is developing plans for the invasion of the Ukraine in order to bring them back into the fold. The production centers of Kharkov and Kiev are too juicy to pass up.

The question is: Who will get there first?

We ran into a bit of a bug in summer 1919 that we consider too great to continue on. Well, it's really not a bug. Clovis the Modder made some balance changes that don't seem as reasonable in the whole scheme of things.

Not to keep you completely blue balled, I want to tease with the news I will be following up with a Hannibal AAr.

Bah. How were you doing in the big picture? You seemed to be doing pretty well, all things considered. Thanks for the LP, regardless.

the South wasn't bad but the Siberian front was a complete disaster. a month of constant fighting in Tsaritsyn had to be called off due to one of the harshest winters i've seen in AGEOD.

Either way, RUS is an amazing game but man, is it exhausting playing both White factions
