That's a lot of empty castles!

Also, this may be an odd time to ask, but...I kind of expected you to play as all three brothers? Do you only play as brother smashy here (who seems to just be bossing through monsters now) the entire game? Or did you starve the others to death while we weren't looking?

Castles and keeps are basically a huge chests with random loot, if I'm getting it right.

I was actually planning to showcase their entire family in the next update. Stay tuned!

Raising your karma by giving money to a turtle? Bethesda should steal that for Fallout 4.

    Part VI: Fortress of Retardo

After escaping Grimwood, Julian is now full of food and well-rested. Soon he will be able to set his foot on the Swan Isle!

During our Grimwood crusade we found a single blue stone.

Thus we can use stone rings now.

    Just as planned.

We set sail to the Swan Isle.

    :hmmm:

    It doesn't want to talk.

    [IMG] Let's eat it then.

    :what:

    :yeah:

Magic Lasso allows us to mount this creature!

Swan speeds things up significantly, we can now easily visit all the places we haven't seen before.

First we're going to explore Plain of Grief and nearby mountains.

    Interesting...

    Meh.

I don't think we can cross this lava pool now.

Besides, we can't even land here.

Something labeled as 'Azal' is our next destination.

    :hmmm:

It's right behind you, duh. Azal has a few locked buildings, but we cannot enter them, despite being able to unlock. Weird, must be a bug.

Then we visit Grimwood again, because I haven't explored the tower in the south-eastern part of the forest.

Surprisingly enough it's full of loot :incline:

I was about to leave, when just a few screens to the left...

    ...I've spotted a Gold Statue!

After a quick nap at Tambry we head to the tower located far to the south from Marheim, near the stone ring.

    Flying over the royal palace.

    :what:

    Screen fades to black...
    :bounce:

    Some directions at last.

The door is locked, but we have enough keys this time

The purpose of mysterious statues is finally revealed! Kinda.

    :5/5:

    No apples sadly.

It wasn't there just a moment ago.

    :hmmm:

Let's go check out Azal again.

This time we can enter buildings.

Too bad they are full of nothing :decline:

    Except for this one.

What do I need a rose for?..

Well, there is nothing left for us to see except for that cave in the top left corner of the map.

    :salute:

    :hero:

Loud noises are coming from the depths of this cave.

A couple of good hits seem to paralyze the dragon for a brief moment.

Cave leads to a simple maze.

    Let's see how it works.

    :yeah:

As usual, Julian is starving, so we head to the nearest tavern.

On our way to the tavern that brown spot catches my attention.

[IMG] Seek the place that is darker than night - there you shall find your goal in sight!
    [IMG] Updated my journal.

At this point I have no idea where to go or what to do next. Looks like it's time to consult an online walkthrough

Meanwhile, somewhere in a parallel universe...

[IMG] "Rescue the Talisman!" was the Mayor's plea. "Only the Talisman can protect our village from the evil forces of the night."
[IMG] And so Julian set out on his quest to recover it.

    But then he died.

    And again.

    And again.

    And again.

But Phillip got ambushed before he could even leave the village.

They did not look good indeed.

    :salute:

    Back to our reality.

We are going to the Citadel of Doom!

We can't land near the citadel, so we leave our swan and go there on foot.

    See that lava?

We can easily walk over it. Because we have a Rose. Yup.

    [IMG] Wait, what?

This forcefield is not an obstacle for Julian, because he has a Crystal Shard.

[IMG] I regret killing that old man.

    :what:

    Welcome to the spirit plane!

Julian is attacked by carnivorous geometric figures.

    :retarded:

So, as you can see, this plane is made of various platforms. Green platforms has no unusual properties, blue ones are slippery as fuck and red ones make you go faster.

Falling of the platform results in Julian's death and a -2 penalty to Luck.

[IMG] Hmm, a really dark area...
[IMG] With this thought, Julian's memories stir... He remembers vaguely standing on a distant shore... in someplace else, somewhere far from here. There is someone with him, an old man...
[IMG] Seek the place that is darker than night - there you shall find your goal in sight!

While inside the darkness, movement keys are inverted.

In the middle of the dark area there is a red platform. With a necromancer on it!

    Sword is useless against him.

AI is stuck between the areas with normal and inverted controls :retarded:
So we try to initiate a conversation...

    And to bribe him...

But nothing works, so we pull out Magic Wand and fireball him to death.

    :what:

    What the fuck...

We'll kill him just to make sure.

Sounds like it was taken from Earthbound. Also, bribing the necromancer was hilarious  So, that's all? The game is done already? What about the other brothers, do they have the same ending?

Yes, that's it. I've just finished the game with Phillip and the ending was the same. Funny thing with Julian though. I didn't realize that he got so overpowered, that enemies couldn't hurt him. Had to drown him in the river, so I could play with Phillip :M

Well done procrastinator. Enjoyable LP. Game seems very...directionless, not sure I could really follow the, uh, "plot" for most of the game.

    The final battle was hilarious.

Yeah, to finish the game you have to stumble upon various stuffies in a totally random manner. Not the best kind of exploration if you ask me.

Wtf the fuck? So he's attacked by EA's symbols, the necromancer was a ranger after all, and the dude and the princess end up having sex on a horse on a scenic setting?

    Wow, best game ever.

I wonder if the image is the same if it's the younger brother that survives.
If they knew their audience, it is (except the male silhouette is smaller)
