    I did try and elaborate on how I find fire to be an implausible weakness for superbeings, being that they must produce stupid amounts of heat with their supershenanigans. Then Vaarna made the very good point that I'm playing the part of the usual shmuck that ruins everything by nitpicking on details, so I guess that makes me the Codex.     Unlike Kryptonite in recent times, which has been fairly defined, Fire weakness has been really inconsistent, yes. Sometimes it shows fire as physical damage against martians, recently writters have retconned that it was a purely psychological weakness that can be overcome. So sometimes you get "OH GOD MY FLESH IS BURNING!" and the other times you get "OH GODS FIRE GET IT AWAY GET IT AWAY!!!"

    Writters need to make-up their mind in the New 52.
