It's a bit dark inside here, but I manage to put everything in place.
This definitely isn't a voyage of luxury, but the bed seems comfortable enough, contrary to my expectations.
I lie down in bed.
I feel the ship setting sail, moving away from the quay.
I feel thrilled, knowing that in a sense, I can't turn back.
I have to admit it. I'm just a bit afraid.
...Guess now's a good time to get some sleep.
It's going to be a long trip ahead of me...

I get up and try to find where it's coming from.

I'm sure they can just be friends, but nothing more.
He never looks at her in that way...
As he does with me... And Lora, unfortunately!
I should find a way to have Marie open her eyes before things actually get heated.



And we just got a quest to sever their relationship.

Poor Marie! In love with John... I honestly don't believe she has a chance with him, but unfortunately, she does. For her sake (and my own), I have to show her the truth... But how?

The others resume talking.

Lora, on the opposite end of the table, continues to captivate her audience.
What a blessing it is to sit so far away from her.
All of a sudden, I hear loud noises coming from nearby.
Screams, claps, just a general rumpus.

Oh... I've heard about that, but I've never actually seen it.

He nods for Maria and I to follow him.

A crowd of exasperated sailors, with two of them in the centre of the room.
I look carefully at the two sailors...
One of them is John!

What do you mean?

Marie and you. Who will be the winner, John or Jack?

Marie
I'm sure John will win. I'll bet on him.

Just finished my marathon of SPAZ, which I got from the 6th Humble Bundle.
It's a fun, well-made and rather polished game... I had a few crashes and the audio glitched out on me a few times too...
But on that note, why the hell do zombies lay eggs!?
Eggs which produce fully organic breeders... which lay more eggs and infect ships and explode(!) on death... the infected ships also lay eggs and can drop turrets and mine fields which in turn lay more eggs... what the hell!
For the record, the game explicitly calls them "eggs"




Now... where were we...

I don't know why, but I knew you were going to say that...

Then John seems to catch up... And they're even again!
Now John seems to be winning... It's incredible, considering the muscles on those two!

Marie
Go John! You'll beat that loutish Jack!

*Monologue*
What!? I've never seen Marie so wild before!
The scene finally dawns on me...
A big crowd of filthy sailors that root for either John of Jack, wavering their arms, creating so much noise...
One close to me spits on the floor.
Another one smashes a bottle, spilling wine on the table.
I feel a bit nauseated. I'm starting to think that uncle Otto was right about this sort of people...

So, was Uncle Otto right, or will we explore the brave new world root for Jack John, So that we may root John?

No idea, but at present I'd say it's as likely as this VN having bionic heart's classy voice acting.
