Hi Hirato,

This is a reminder that your Public folder links will become inactive on March 15. On that date, your Public folder will become a standard Dropbox folder, and your files will remain safe in your account. If you want to share those files again, you’ll need to use shared links instead.

The Public folder was the first sharing method we introduced, and since then, we’ve built more sophisticated ways for you to share securely and work together with your team. In addition to shared links, we have a number of sharing options designed to make collaboration easier and give you more control.

We understand these sharing methods are not a direct replacement for the Public folder in some cases—we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. For more information on transitioning from the Public folder to shared links, visit our Help Center.

- The Dropbox Team

Dropbox in it's desire to commit suicide, means this LP is no longer on indefinite hiatus, but completely dead.
If you're reliant on Dropbox for anything, I strongly urge you to stop giving them any money, and move away to alternative services; whether this be OneDrive, Google Drive, or even your own personal server you just FTP data to.
If your business uses dropbox, urge them to do likewise, it's likely they already have an MSDN/office365 subscription which means microsoft's OneDrive is already paid for.

I was going to provide some archive.is links, but that site is just stuck in a perpetual loading state.
So instead, here's some archive.org links for future readers.

If you did an LP of your own using dropbox as your host (or know of one that did), go through it on archive.org and ensure it has backed up every page, otherwise they'll be permanently lost into the aether.
Only page 1 and 2 were for this one, hence the fresh timestamps on the others.

I'm currently playing Persona 4 Gold on my steam deck. Then I remembered this LP. So sad to see it died due to Dropbox shenanigans.

Since it has been so long since I read this LP, I'm basically playing blind. It's quite fun actually. And the Steam deck is perfect for this game. Controls feel simple and intuitive.

Heartily recommended.

Technically it was dead for years before Dropbox's suicide. :M
I've since deleted my account as they added even more ridiculous restrictions since.
They limited you to about 3 devices; I have a desktop, a laptop, and a phone, and the first two dual-boot, so that's no good
They also put strict limits on file systems, so for example if you're a hyper paranoiac and wrapped your dropbox folder around encFS (so you could be 100% sure dropbox couldn't read anything), that's no longer possible.

I've the screenshots for at least another dozen updates too.
Unfortunately I stopped having the time, between getting a job and getting far too invested in both drama and politics. :(

Yeah, my LP activity has also declined rapidly I'm afraid. I'm happy I decided to use Imgur all those years back, as my LPs are still all visible though.

I'm not going to LP this game. Couldn't do it justice.
But I might LP Xenonauts 2 once that is out. I'm one of the kickstarter backers, and I have a history of LPing x-com style games here...
