Original Wāzu Wāsu was made in 1993... Japs censorship laws have always been extremely wonky, so early games were very careful so the games wouldn't be blacklisted. élf game studios chose to go with the softer approach, which has persisted to even to their later games.

A guard stops us from advancing, but our allies can pass freely…

We find a new type of enemy…

We end up in an annoying room with moving floor…



There are some fake switches, but we ignore them and go for the control room…

The next door is guarded by some weird freak…

(Some elf developer, I guess) (Let’s hope HH doesn’t make a cameo in ME3)

We finally defeat him and advance…




We reach a shopping district.

The shoppers refuse to sell to us, so we go Xtreme on them…

But we only manage to make them flee…

We finally reach the control room…

We keep advancing and get teleported. (There are several interconnected teleports in this level)

We try to find Delta, but Stallion was faster…

We keep advancing and find Sir Douche fighting a bicefalous ratman…

We fight the monster and defeat him…

After some exploration…



This game is repetitive as fuck…






In our exploration we end up in a dark corridor, but we are not alone…





The ratman’s friends avenge him!
Every time we take a step, hundreds of rats attack us stealing HALF our money. Before crossing the corridor our gold goes from >40000 to <500.

We find a room with a big statue…





We put a statue in each hand and we can go to a secret area…

We reach a room guarded by a strange guardian…






After defeating him we search the room, where we find some gold and two tablet fragments…




We have 11 of 20 tablets in our hands…

We backtrack and find Vega fighting…

We also find Algo, who seems to be injured…







We continue exploring and hear scream (Again…)

After being stupidly ambushed again and waking up feeling like a total idiot we try to search for our attackers…

But we are stopped by them…










We defeat him, but Carot escapes…


We finally reach the stairs to the lower level, and next to it we find an old man who sells DEF boosting potions…



We spend most of our gold on the potions and go down.

(From here on I won’t waste money in armors; I will skip directly to the final tier of armor and use the money for potions and weapons.)


We make it to the lower level…
