Apparently, SNES looks better, but IIRC, removes the row mechanic (an important aspect of blobber gameplay). Dunno about NES or GB(?) version. TBH, I actually like the minimalistic graphics. They are just enough that you feel like certain location areas are different (ocean graphics look pretty cool, actually). It also looks better as you're playing it.

Also, the game is a lot less blurry when you are playing it in a 320x200 window like I do.

It's not so much the resolution, but rather, how ugly it is. The extremely limited color palette, the awful sprites, all those things build up.

Yo, sorry for this being late, but I've been sicker than a dog for the past couple of days, so yeah. Wasn't even able to get off of my couch, and my laptop was under my bed. Anywho, I'm feeling better, so let's dob this:
Woohoo! We're trying to gather enough gold to get the last few levels so we can go explore the overworld.
Well, this sucks

Vampire Bats! They're like normal trashmob bats, so they die. Easily.
But unlike normal trashmobs, they give a reasonable amount of experience.
Think this was some kobolds
This could get interseting...

It goes straight to Kalin, to make him even tankier.
His old Scale Armor goes to Azira. Now he won't get curbstomped as easily.
Some gnomes and rats.

of Mustawd
Hmm, should be easy.
And it was.
That new level doesn't seem to have increased Mustawd's skills.
And here we face Dracula.
He went down easily
Don't think I've ever encountered Savage Shrews before.
But, as melee-only enemies in a small stack, they fall easily.
MINOR Demons, eh? Shouldn't be too bad, I mean, what's the worst that could happen...
See?

We can still turn this around. Don't worry!
Oh. Ranged attacks that deal magic damage? And they don't use gems on it?
Well, we got sum o' dat too!
Holy good goddamn.

Some good came out of it though, because, since we didn't save after Mustawd leveled up, he got to reroll and got (I think) his max possible roll.

But holy jumping Jesus on ice skates sailing around the moon alongside a blonde ninja searching a dragon's balls!

Nope. We was able to retreat.
But, in the meantime, those two died.
We restore Mustawd to life, because he is the only one who can consistently open trapped containers.

This oughta be alright...
