big update incoming but it's necessary to finally show something other than endless dialoguing back and forth

epiph2364.jpg

We have arrived to Tanya's newsroom UNTO THE FUTURE WHERE THE WHOLE WORLD HAS BECOME...

ELEKTRONIK

SUPERSONIK

rosa1.jpg
It's pretty empty here tonight, I guess the weather even affects the media.

rosa1.jpg
The local news is airing. They are talking about the weather. Again.

There's sum git at the desks

rosa1.jpg
Looks like he's got a bunch of news wire reports open. Oh, and minesweeper.

rosa1.jpg
He looks pretty hard at work.

Sure, sure. Minesweepin' is teh hard

epiph2370.jpg

epiph2371.jpg

rosa1.jpg
I'm Rosangela Blackwell, do you work here?

jim1.jpg
Certainly do. Jim Peebles, senior producer. How may I help you?

epiph2374.jpg

rosa1.jpg
What do you do here?

jim1.jpg
I'm the head producer for the Good Morning Show. With Kathy Hardin?

rosa1.jpg
Isn't that Tanya Corsey's old show?

jim1.jpg
Yes it is.

rosa1.jpg
Did you work here when Tanya was still alive?

jim1.jpg
Yes, why do you ask?

rosa1.jpg
I'm looking into her death.

jim2.jpg
Wasn't it an accident?

rosa1.jpg
That's why I'm looking into it. Just to be sure.

jim1.jpg
Hm. Well, alright.

rosa1.jpg
It's pretty empty here tonight.

jim1.jpg
Heh, well, look outside. The weather is horrible and almost everyone commutes to work. Nobody can get in, so we're running on a skeleton crew.

rosa1.jpg
A note was found in Tanya's apartment. It was signed "J".

jim1.jpg
And?

rosa1.jpg
And your name begins with J, did you write it?

excellent logic Rosa! One leading to the other is a perfect logical conclusion

jim2.jpg
Seriously?

rosa1.jpg
You're in journalism. You know that every lead is worth following.

jim2.jpg
Well, sorry, I didn't write any note to Tanya. Not that I remember.

rosa1.jpg
What can you tell me about Tanya?

jim1.jpg
I liked her. Some anchors think they are the be-all, end-all, but not her. She knew we were all in this together, and worked well with all of us. That's how you make a news show. Everyone needs to help each other.

rosa1.jpg
Well, thanks for your time, mr Peebles. I might be back later.

jim1.jpg
Sure thing, I'm not going anywhere.

Well that was fucking useless.

epiph2406.jpg

Doesn't look like there are ANY options available to us atm. Guess we're gonna have to go seek guidance.

epiph2407.jpg

mad1.jpg
I see. Is he still... intact?

joey1.jpg
Yeah. He tried to get me to join a gym.

mad1.jpg
I thought as much.

Yeah, she could use some time in the gym too.

joey1.jpg
You thought so. What do you mean?

mad1.jpg
You know as well as I do. A spirit cannot be moved from this world until it is spiritually ready. It would appear that it is also the case here.

epiph2414.jpg

rosa1.jpg
But what about George and Lia?

mad1.jpg
From my understanding, they were aware of their death when they were taken?

joey1.jpg
Yeah, they were.

mad1.jpg
Then there is your answer. They were spiritually ready to leave the world. And so were vulnerable. This... Fielding, was it? He is a lucky soul indeed. Until he is made aware, he cannot be taken. Not by you, nor by anyone else.

uhm

wait a moment here

If that is true, then why the FUCK would all of them (Lia, Michael) go into all these measures to set up protective wards and shit?? If a soul can't move on till it's ready, odds are it isn't exactly ready when it is still alive, no? And Madeline was... SORT OF aware of this all the time, but decided KILLING PEOPLE FOR THE BESTOWER WAS A BETTER SOLUTION?

FFSWTF

rosa1.jpg
So wait. This is all our fault?

mad1.jpg
Whatever do you mean?

rosa1.jpg
Lia, George. Just by trying to save them, we destroyed them.

mad1.jpg
I suppose... yes, it could be seen that way. But please, do NOT blame yourself. How could you have known?

rosa1.jpg
Ignorance doesn't change anything.

mad1.jpg
Listen to me. Whatever, or whoever is taking these souls, they were marked long before they died. All we can do now is move forward. And save who we can.

joey1.jpg
So what, we just leave the spook to rot?

mad1.jpg
Of course not. It has been known for some spirits to become aware on their own. The right face, the right moment, anything can trigger it. And if that happens to Fielding... No, our duty is to save him, and save him we shall.

And run he did.

joey1.jpg
How? The usual rules have been chucked out the window. We make a move and he gets hammered. And we're not gonna let that happen, not again.

mad1.jpg
It is a dilemma, for certain.

joey1.jpg
We need to think about this. Plan our next move.

mad1.jpg
Of course. In fact... I might have an idea along these lines. I must confer with my host. Please, excuse me.

epiph2446.jpg

mad1.jpg
He is still... deceased, but in all other respects, yes. He is as well as he can be.

mike4.jpg
This... changes everything. You have no idea.

epiph2451.jpg

mike4.jpg
I never even considered that Peter's soul could be saved. And maybe Heather, too! Yes, Heather. If her soul wasn't taken, then she must still be lost.

joey1.jpg
And this is a good thing?

mike4.jpg
Of course. If a soul is merely lost, then it still can be saved. And maybe... so can mine.

joey1.jpg
So what's your plan?

mad1.jpg
We are approaching this from ignorance. And possibly from fear. Before I was trapped in the void, I was a spirit guide for a very long time. I can learn much from a spirit by looking at it. And talking to it. If Fielding's soul still exists, then it must be brought here.

mike1.jpg
And Heather. Heather's soul must still be out there!

mad1.jpg
And her as well, of course.

joey1.jpg
Peter Fielding's spook is at the gym, it's not too far away. You can talk to him there.

mike2.jpg
You kidding? I step out of this circle, who knows what might happen! If I die, there's a good chance I'll be an "aware" spirit, like George and Lia, and then...

ffs

mad1.jpg
Be at peace, my host. I would not ask you to do such a thing.

mike4.jpg
Well, thank heaven for that.

mad1.jpg
Besides, it is unnecessary. As you say, only spiritually aware souls are attacked. Since this Fielding is NOT spiritually aware, meeting him in his current state would be pointless. We need to awaken him before I can determine anything from him.

joey1.jpg
Uhm, won't awakening these ghosts destroy them? Aren't we trying to avoid that?

mad1.jpg
Don't be absurd. We'll put them behind this circle. They will be safe there.

joey1.jpg
And how are we supposed to do that? Spooks like me can't enter the thing.

mad1.jpg
This might surprise you, Mallone, but I did think of that. Come here.

epiph2479.jpg

um

joey1.jpg
What's this thing?

mad1.jpg
Call it a... totem. It was made with some of my essence. The circle was created in much the same manner, so it will make a perfect focus. When you awaken a spirit, use the totem to send them directly here. They will remain safe behind the circle, until we can determine the next course of action.

Wasn't Madeline superextra surprised when Joey showed her his spectral tie in the void, and suddenly she's managing to part left and right?

@_@

mike1.jpg
So I'll be trapped in this circle with Peter and Heather's ghosts?

mad1.jpg
I'm afraid so, my host.

mike4.jpg
Well, I suppose it can't be helped. And I guess it will be nice to see them again.

mad1.jpg
Yes.

epiph2489.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Is there anything you can tell me about Peter? Anything at all that can help us?

mike1.jpg
No. Of all the people in our group, Peter was the one I spoke to the least. I think George once belonged to his gym, even took personal training sessions for a while. But George wasn't the personal fitness type.

rosa1.jpg
I need to know everything you can tell me about Heather.

mike1.jpg
Well, there was one thing. It was a confession of sorts, you see, and she trusted me.

rosa1.jpg
What was it?

mike3.jpg
You don't understand. It was a confession. It might have been a long time ago, but it was still a sacred trust. I can't betray that trust. It goes against everything I believe in.

rosa1.jpg
Don't you think that, under the circumstances, she'd understand?

mike3.jpg
I'm not sure God would.

joey1.jpg
Does it really matter? What's the worst that can happen?

joey3.jpg
You lose your soul?

mike2.jpg
My God, when you put it like that...

mike1.jpg
Heather was a prostitute. She wanted to confess, but didn't feel right entering a church. She might have been jewish, judging by her name, but I think she just wanted to speak to someone who understood.

You're so going to hell, Padre \^-^/

rosa1.jpg
Understood?

mike1.jpg
Someone who had been to Grace Group meetings. Someone who had had a life-changing revelation, like me. I don't know what her revelation was, but she wanted to purge herself of her old life. So she asked if I could come to her apartment and listen to her. And so I did.

rosa1.jpg
Do you remember where she lived?

mike1.jpg
I was a priest entering the house of a prostitute. It's not something you forget. She lived by Thompkin's Square Park. Here's the address.

rosa1.jpg
I guess we should get going.

mad1.jpg
Then I do believe our task is concluded. I will return outside.

mike4.jpg
Uhm, hey, Madeline?

mad1.jpg
Yes, my host?

mike4.jpg
It's all right.

mad1.jpg
All right?

mike4.jpg
Yeah, stay inside. It's cold out there.

@_@

mad1.jpg
I don't feel the cold, my host.

mike1.jpg
I know, I know! Just... stay? Please? And thanks.

mad1.jpg
It is my pleasure, my host.

epiph2526.jpg

Here's the thingie we looted from Madeline.

And well, before we leave, we can still chat her up for some OMINOUSNESS

epiph2530.jpg

rosa1.jpg
I've always wondered... just who are you?

mad1.jpg
Pardon?

rosa1.jpg
Where'd you come from? Who were you before... all this?

mad1.jpg
Tell me one thing. Have you ever asked your spirit guide the same question?

rosa1.jpg
Yeah.

mad1.jpg
Has he ever given you a satisfactory answer?

mad3.jpg
Precisely.

rosa1.jpg
You once told me that you knew my auntie Lauren.

mad1.jpg
After a fashion. While in the void, I would reach out to the mortal world in dreams. The minds of other Bestowers were the most... receptive.

joey1.jpg
Huh? If that's true, how come she never mentioned it?

Oh, but she did.

You may or may not remember Lauren's dictaphone back in Unbound. She used to record all sorts of wacky dreams on it.

mad1.jpg
Sadly, the memories of our meetings faded as she woke.

rosa1.jpg
What did you talk about? You and auntie, I mean.

mad1.jpg
You have to understand, she was dreaming when we conversed. Her mind wasn't entirely lucid.

rosa7.jpg
So you can't tell me anything?

mad1.jpg
Nothing that would make any cognitive sense.

rosa1.jpg
Do you know what happened to her? To auntie? My grandmother? They both went insane. They spent years sedated in a hospital. You know why?

mad1.jpg
I do not. I felt their minds when they... went, but that is all I know.

rosa1.jpg
I see. Do you think the same thing will happen to me?

mad1.jpg
I am sorry, I do not know. But I do believe your chances of safety are high.

That's reassuring.

rosa1.jpg
You think so? Why?

mad1.jpg
I told you, while I was in the void, I could sense their minds. I could sense yours as well. You are stronger than they were.

@_@

rosa1.jpg
I'm... stronger?

mad1.jpg
Not physically. Or even mentally. But emotionally? Yes. Your grandmother fled the duty. Your aunt performed it with only the greatest reluctance. But you? You have embraced it. Thrived in it.

rosa1.jpg
Well, that's what I do. Anyway, I guess we should be going.

mad1.jpg
Of course. Keep us informed of your progress.

epiph2571.jpg

Time to proceed to another joint full of dialoguing.

Anyway, I really didn't like the whole previous scene. It would have been much cooler to find out on your own that the spirits don't get shredded unless awakened, and find a way to deliver them to safety without Madeline's sudden dismemberment. It removes a lot of agency and importance from Rosa, Joey, and the player himself in my view.

epiph2572.jpg

big whoop

epiph2573.jpg

But her, there's obviously also a geist behind that fence.

rosa1.jpg
Some nasty spikes out there. I'm not climbing over it, that's for sure.

Sigh. You know what that means.

epiph2576.jpg

this is really starting to get formulaic

epiph2577.jpg

epiph2578.jpg

Hello m'lady *tips menorah*

joey1.jpg
Ah. Hello miss.

heath2.jpg
Answer my question. How'd you get in?

joey1.jpg
Oh. Uhm. The gate was open. Is that all right?

heath1.jpg
Sure. I guess. Just be sure to close it when you leave. I don't want to get in trouble.

:logic:

Joey, tacticool analysis on the double!

joey1.jpg
Nice looking girl. I suppose that's an asset in her line of work.

ASSet indeed.

epiph2589.jpg

a door!

joey1.jpg
Just a dark hallway. I can't see a thing in there.

Oh well.

Dialoguing!

epiph2591.jpg

heath1.jpg
Oh, hi. What's up?

epiph2594.jpg

joey1.jpg
You sure you should be out here?

heath1.jpg
Why shouldn't I be? It's perfect. It's so nice to finally have a night clear enough to enjoy this place.

joey1.jpg
Clear night. Right.

:M

joey1.jpg
You live here?

heath1.jpg
I do. Why?

joey1.jpg
No reason, just making conversation. Is your name Heather Goffstein?

heath1.jpg
Oh, I see. You came from Ray.

joey1.jpg
Ray?

heath1.jpg
Of course. You DID come from Ray, right?

epiph2607.jpg

Ray is probably a fat nigga pimp in a pink suit and with massive bling. Ain't gonna lie about knowin' any o' dem niggaz.

And there's no doubt some sort of a passcode or something so playing a smartass prob won't accomplish shit.

joey1.jpg
No, sorry. I don't know who Ray is.

heath3.jpg
Ah, well, then I'm sorry. If you want a date, you'll need Ray's permission.

joey1.jpg
A date?

heath1.jpg
Isn't that why you are here?

joey1.jpg
No, not at all. I just wanna talk

b-baka~! Can I brush your teeth, Heatheru-chan...?

heath1.jpg
Really.

joey1.jpg
Really.

heath1.jpg
Well, I suppose that's alright. But we should stay out here. If we don't go into the bedroom, it's not a date.

^The bedroom is probably the hook for the spook.

epiph2619.jpg

joey1.jpg
You don't seem terribly surprised that I'm here in your garden.

heath1.jpg
Hm. It IS a bit strange that you appeared out of nowhere. But hey, I'm used to men appearing on my doorstep. And for some reason you seem... safe.

joey1.jpg
Safe.

heath1.jpg
Yeah, just a vibe.

joey1.jpg
Huh. Thanks, I guess.

joey1.jpg
What can you tell me about the Grace Group?

heath3.jpg
Grace Group...?

joey1.jpg
Yeah, you were a member, right?

heath1.jpg
Sorry, I don't know what that is.

joey1.jpg
Come on, think. You met in the basement of Grace Church.

heath2.jpg
What, like AA? I'm not an alcoholic, thank you.

joey1.jpg
Tell me about father Michael Cooper.

heath1.jpg
Father Michael? Is he a priest or something?

joey1.jpg
Yeah, or something. He was part of the Grace Group.

heath1.jpg
I don't know him, sorry.

joey1.jpg
Are you sure? He seems to know you.

heath1.jpg
You don't meet many priests in my line of work. Or at least, if you do, they usually don't tell you.

joey1.jpg
So tell me about this Ray character.

heath3.jpg
I... really shouldn't. Ray is really exclusive with the clients we are given. I shouldn't have told you the name.

She p. much denies knowing anything no matter what you ask her aboot. Still, we have at least a bit of a new lead.

joey1.jpg
Well, Heather, I have to get going.

heath1.jpg
Sure. I'd leave the gate open, but for some reason I don't think it'll be a problem for you.

There is one place where asking about fat nigga pimps should yield the best answers.

epiph2649.jpg

epiph2650.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Do you know anything about someone named Ray? I don't know who he is, but I think he's involved with prostitution.

cop1.jpg
Prostitution? Is this related to Lia's case?

Nah, just looking for some hot lesbian action.

rosa1.jpg
I don't know, it could be.

cop1.jpg
This just gets better and better. Anyway, Ray, let's take a look. Okay, the name "Ray" definitely comes up in the Vice Department database. There was a raid on a bar called Vantini a few years ago, and someone named Ray was taken for questioning. No charges were made.

rosa1.jpg
Just Ray? No last name?

cop1.jpg
No. Whoever Ray is, that's his full legal name.

wat

cop1.jpg
Anyway, here's the address of the bar if you need it.

rosa1.jpg
Thanks.

cop1.jpg
Sure.

epiph2666.jpg

Off to Manchini's!

epiph2667.jpg

How auspicious. There's also a sidedoor to the right, but it's locked.

epiph2668.jpg

ray1.jpg
Well, brave or stupid, anyway.

Hue.

rosa6.jpg
Er, right.

epiph2671.jpg

There's a bunch of pictures here. The big one with the smug feller is a cameo of Abe Goldfarb.

rosa6.jpg
Whoever this was, he signed it "Thanks for the tie. With love, AG".

Also a womyn

rosa6.jpg
It's a painting of a woman dancing. It's dedicated to someone named "Mistress B".

And some mumbojumbo

rosa6.jpg
Looks like some kind of promotional poster for a burlesque act.

Also the bar!

rosa6.jpg
They've got a pretty varied selection, although I wouldn't really know. My criteria for picking wine is "has a pretty lable" and "under twenty bucks".

Taste and price doesn't matter as long as it bangs your brain!

TcbJ1L.jpg

:incline:

Anyway, let's annoy people with talkings.

epiph2677.jpg

epiph2678.jpg

epiph2679.jpg

rosa6.jpg
What can you tell me about this place?

denise.jpg
It's old. Quiet. I like it that way.

rosa6.jpg
Really?

denise.jpg
Yeah, I work on my thesis most nights. Honestly, I'm surprised a big place like this can stay open. It's always empty.

rosa6.jpg
Do you know Ray?

denise.jpg
Ray?

rosa6.jpg
Yeah, is he here?

denise.jpg
No. No, he is not. How about a coffee or something?

rosa6.jpg
No thanks, I already have one.

denise.jpg
Hm, I see.

rosa6.jpg
Well, thanks, I'd better get going.

that was useless

But there is MOAR CHATTIN TO DO

epiph2695.jpg

ray1.jpg
Hm? Yes?

rosa6.jpg
I'm looking for Ray. Do you know where I can find him?

ray1.jpg
Ray, huh? And why would you be looking for Ray?

epiph2699.jpg

rosa6.jpg
I just need to talk to him. I can't go into specifics, but it involves a woman who worked for him.

ray1.jpg
Worked for him, hm? In what capacity?

rosa6.jpg
She was a... working girl. Heather Goffstein. She worked for Ray, and now she's dead.

ray2.jpg
Hm. I see. "Worked" is the appropriate word, I suppose. Heather left my employ a long time ago

!!

rosa6.jpg
Your employ?

ray3.jpg
Yes. You want to speak to Ray, she's right in front of you.

ray1.jpg
The former Rachel Mendez, at your service.

They don't make fat nigga pimps like they used to.

epiph2710.jpg

rosa6.jpg
So you work here?

ray1.jpg
Not directly, but I suppose I'm as much a fixture here as anything else.

rosa6.jpg
So Heather worked for you? Can you tell me about her?

ray1.jpg
It's been... gosh, several years. I'm afraid I can't tell you much. She was very young, very pretty. Slightly lost, perhaps, like many of the girls.

ray2.jpg
She's really dead? How did that happen?

rosa6.jpg
I don't know. That's what I'm trying to find out.

ray3.jpg
Is this a police matter?

rosa6.jpg
Not... directly. I'm working with them, but I'm pretty much on my own.

ray2.jpg
Well, in that case, ask me whatever you like.

rosa6.jpg
You said Heather "left your employ"? Could you explain?

ray1.jpg
Just that. She packed up and left.

rosa6.jpg
And you were okay with that?

ray2.jpg
You think I would drag her against her will? Absolutely not. And what would be the point? I replaced her next week. It's the nature of this business. Some girls try the life, discover it's not for them, and then leave. Some stay for years and it grinds them alive. But occasionally, with luck and persistence, one can flourish.

2950.jpg

ray1.jpg
Like I did!

:M

rosa6.jpg
Did Heather have any enemies? An obsessive client, or anything?

ray3.jpg
I suppose anything is possible, but not likely. I screen our clients carefully, and I keep very careful records.

rosa6.jpg
How does this business... work, exactly?

Rosa getting interested.

ray1.jpg
There's no bedroom upstairs, if that's what you are asking. I own several apartments in the city. I give the girls room and board in exchange for the money they receive. Some of them skim. Hell, all of them skim, but I make sure to treat them well. They treat me well in return.

rosa6.jpg
If you kept careful records, does that mean you have a list of Heather's clients somewhere?

ray4.jpg
No. I'm sorry, but no.

rosa6.jpg
Don't you want to know what happened to Heather? The client list could help.

ray4.jpg
You have no reason to suspect one of her clients had anything to do with it. You can't even tell me how she died. I won't betray my clients' trust based on some flimsy guess.

rosa6.jpg
I really need that client list.

ray4.jpg
Absolutely not. I give a premium product, and my clients expect premium service. Privacy is part of that service. That client list stays in my office where it belongs.

orly :smug:

rosa6.jpg
I could bring in the police.

ray4.jpg
I'd like to see you try. Every few years they try and raid this place. Make a show of getting tough.

ray1.jpg
But nothing sticks. I make sure of that.

rosa6.jpg
Well. I guess that's everything.

ray2.jpg
Sorry I can't help you. For what it's worth... I liked Heather. I'm sad she's dead. I suppose a drink to her memory is in order. Care to join me?

rosa6.jpg
Thanks, but no.

ray1.jpg
Hm, more for me then. Denisse! One gimlet, please. You know how I like it.

epiph2761.jpg

Enjoying your drink, huh?

epiph2762.jpg

OOPSIE DAISY

ray3.jpg
... how odd.

ray1.jpg
Denisse, could you get that for me?

epiph2765.jpg

The bartender comes over to wipe the stuff from the floor.

epiph2766.jpg

After going upstairs, there doesn't seem to be anything of worth there... yet. But this emergency exit looks promising!!

epiph2767.jpg

denise.jpg
You can't go that way, sorry.

Oh yeah?

CRASH! goes another glass :smug:

epiph2770.jpg

dont mind me citizens

epiph2771.jpg

The magnificent Rosangela Blackwell does it again!

rosa6.jpg
Damn it. It's locked from the inside

...oops. And the door to the left is obviously locked.

epiph2773.jpg

Open up, dumpster! It's the FBI!

rosa6.jpg
It opens only a bit, but it appears to be empty.

epiph2779.jpg

Rags are always needed!

Preferably bloodstained ones.

epiph2780.jpg

Off with you, freezing snow!

Why? Beats me. But I guess FROZEN = COFFEE! is the valid logical course of action to take anywhere it's possible in this game :M

epiph2782.jpg

D:

epiph2784.jpg

Follow your womynly instincts, Rosa.

rosa6.jpg
I think I got it all. But I'm NOT carrying around this wet rag. Good thing there's a dumpster here.

epiph2789.jpg

It is now safe to climb said dumpster. And try to make a leap of faith for this ladder!

rosa6.jpg
Sigh. Okay, you can do this... let's see...

epiph2793.jpg

Running start seems p. stupid with that half a frozen dumpster. Height should work for this daunting task.

epiph2794.jpg

SUPER ROSA BROS!

rosa6.jpg
First try!

epiph2796.jpg

epiph2797.jpg

It is however possible to open the window.

epiph2804.jpg

Why, hello there.

Score one for cat burglarly.

epiph2805.jpg

joey1.jpg
But sneaking into the secret office of a known flesh-peddler? This tops the list.

:incline:

Stay tuned. For next time, there shall be DIRT TO UNCOVER from said office!

I really don't like the game. Everything from puzzles to writing seems like a step back from Deception. I hope your "going places" thing means it will get better, not back into full retardation....

I think hope is a great virtue... but I don't think it can help us anymore...

We are now inside Ray's office, looking for dirt. Let's inspect them photos.

rosa6.jpg
These look like pictures of celebrities and politicians. I don't recognise many of them, but...

rosa8.jpg
Holy crap, is that Kennedy?

Would be better with Clinton :M

More photos on the right

rosa6.jpg
Pictures of young girls. I guess they all work for Ray.

And a painting.

rosa6.jpg
Is that...? Yes, it's a painting of Ray. A much younger Ray, but still Ray.

epiph2813.jpg

Enough of this foolishness!

rosa6.jpg
Okay, let's see here... client list, client list... you're KIDDING me.

joey1.jpg
What?

rosa6.jpg
It's a text file, "clientlist.txt".

login/login, password/password

joey1.jpg
And that's... good?

rosa6.jpg
Good for us. All I need to do is transfer that to my memory stick.

epiph2821.jpg

Presto.

rosa6.jpg
And we've got it. Some security.

joey1.jpg
I guess with the secret door and paying off the police, she didn't feel the need for any more.

rosa6.jpg
That and she's a bit old. She might not know a lot about computers.

joey1.jpg
Huh. I can relate.

epiph2827.jpg

Let's see if we can find our man here

rosa6.jpg
A James Peebles is listed as being a client of Ray's... and the girl he saw was Heather Goffstein.

joey1.jpg
Well, this just got juicy.

Indeed. Let us leave this place of evil!

epiph2831.jpg

Oops.

ray4.jpg
Ahem?

BU-BU-BUSTEEEEEEEEED

rosa8.jpg
Oh, hi, uhm.

epiph2835.jpg

:troll:

rosa8.jpg
I was just... looking for the bathroom. Is it up here?

ray4.jpg
The bathroom. In the office behind the secret panel.

rosa6.jpg
Um. Yes?

smooth

ray4.jpg
I've been meaning to glue that window shut. I suppose I should thank you. But first, give me that memory stick.

how does she know that

rosa6.jpg
Um. Here.

ray4.jpg
Thank you. Now get your coat and LEAVE.

epiph2844.jpg

Good job, Rosa. At least we got what we came for.

rosa3.jpg
And I'd almost gone a full three hours without a restraining order.

joey1.jpg
Well, the night's still young

:troll:

rosa1.jpg
And I need another cup of coffee.

epiph2848.jpg

I Know Everything (tm), the line that always does it.

rosa1.jpg
Jim, I know everything.

jim2.jpg
Sorry?

rosa1.jpg
I know who Heather is and what she did for a living. I also know that you... procured her services. There was a note in Tanya's apartment that said "I know about Heather". It was signed "J".

jim2.jpg
That could have been anybody.

rosa1.jpg
Do you really expect me to believe that now?

jim3.jpg
Sigh. No, I don't.

rosa1.jpg
Tell me about your involvement with Heather.

jim3.jpg
God, it was over twenty five years ago. Working the late shift, sleeping during the day, browsing the 'dex. Who has time for a social life? So yes. I found... other ways... to meet my needs. Heather was one of them. I'm not proud of it, but I'm make no excuses for it either.

rosa1.jpg
You said it was twenty five years ago. So you stopped seeing her?

jim3.jpg
She quit the business. I didn't know what happened to her, until she walked in that door. The new face of Good Morning. Tanya Corsey.

D:

rosa1.jpg
Tanya?

jim3.jpg
The name was different, the hair was different, the whole attitude was different. But I knew.

rosa1.jpg
Wait a minute. Let me get this straight.

epiph2872.jpg

hqdefault.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Heather and Tanya are one and the same?

jim2.jpg
You didn't know? Isn't that what this is all about?

jim3.jpg
She reinvented herself. Changed the looks. Got a gig as a weather girl. Worked her way up to this newsroom... Worked here for years and never knew who I was. Until I told her.

rosa1.jpg
Until you blackmailed her, you mean.

jim2.jpg
Look, thirty years I've been here, and I haven't moved from this damn desk! I saw an opportunity and I took it. So I wrote her that note. I threatened to expose her past. I didn't know what to expect, but I didn't expect her to go home and... for that to happen! They said she fell in the shower because she was drunk. But she was only drunk because of me.

Good job, retard.

jim3.jpg
So what now?

epiph2884.jpg

@_@

rosa1.jpg
It's completely up to you. I'm not going to do anything.

jim3.jpg
You're not?

rosa1.jpg
I got what I came here for.

epiph2888.jpg

To the Blackwellmobile!

epiph2889.jpg

joey1.jpg
Ever think of getting into fortune cookies?

rosa1.jpg
I'm only thinking of getting my coffee refilled.

ok the coffee joke is getting old

joey1.jpg
That's my girl. Always planning ahead.

epiph2896.jpg

rosa1.jpg
So what exactly happened? Tanya, Heather, whoever. She... split? She killed off its past so thoroughly it became its own ghost?

joey1.jpg
I suppose so.

rosa1.jpg
I didn't know ghosts could do that.

joey1.jpg
What, you read the rulebook? Because I sure haven't.

FFS RTFM NOOBS

joey1.jpg
If we've got a split spook on our hands, we've gotta put 'em back together.

epiph2903.jpg

epiph2906.jpg

joey1.jpg
Look. I know who you are (tm).

heath1.jpg
What do you mean?

joey1.jpg
You're Tanya Corsey. Or at least, you're gonna be.

heath1.jpg
You're making no sense. I'm me. I'm Heather. Maybe I'm not sure who that is yet, but I know it's me.

himmel

epiph2920.jpg

let's try it the other way around

epiph2921.jpg

epiph2924.jpg

joey1.jpg
Listen, Tanya, I know who you are (tm).

tanya1.jpg
We've already covered this, haven't we?

joey1.jpg
No, I mean who you really are. You're Heather Goffstein. Or at least, you were.

tanya2.jpg
I told you, I don't know any Heather.

joey1.jpg
Tanya...

tanya2.jpg
I don't know any Heather because Heather is gone. Heather is DEAD. She doesn't exist anymore. She can't.

vamp549e75.JPG

joey1.jpg
I'm sorry, Tanya, but she does.

tanya2.jpg
What do you want? Money? A promotion, like Jim?

joey1.jpg
No, I just want you to come with me. There's someone you need to meet.

tanya2.jpg
I don't have a choice, do I? Fine, lead on. But remember this - Peter didn't just teach me how to do pilates. Take me anywhere funny and you'll be looking at a broken nose.

I don't fear any greeks.

joey1.jpg
I wouldn't dream of it.

epiph2944.jpg

joey2.jpg
Just trust me.

Joey puts on his rapeface.

tanya2.jpg
Trust you. That's rich.

epiph2947.jpg

tanya2.jpg
Are you in league with this man?

rosa4.jpg
Um. Kind of?

tanya2.jpg
Two blackmailers instead of one. This is just great.

epiph2952.jpg

joey1.jpg
Just follow us, okay?

tanya2.jpg
Can I at least call my car service?

rosa1.jpg
I don't think that's possible.

tanya2.jpg
What do you mean?

joey1.jpg
She means that they'd never come in this weather. It's better to walk, come on.

epiph2958.jpg

tanya1.jpg
Where are we going?

joey1.jpg
It's just up this way.

tanya1.jpg
Wait. I KNOW this building.

epiph2962.jpg

tanya2.jpg
Why did you bring me here? Whatever you brought me here for, get on with it!

joey1.jpg
Tanya? There's someone you need to meet.

tanya2.jpg
There's nobody here I want to see. I assure you.

joey1.jpg
Even still. I just need you to follow me. Then we can forget about this whole thing.

tanya2.jpg
Sigh. Fine.

epiph2970.jpg

heath1.jpg
Hey, who's your friend?

tanya2.jpg
What is THIS?! Who are you? Answer me!

heath4.jpg
Heather Goffstein! Who are you?

tanya4.jpg
No. No, no, no, no. This is insane. I'm going insane.

heath4.jpg
Uh, sorry?

tanya2.jpg
You shouldn't be here, you shouldn't exist!

heath2.jpg
What's your problem?

tanya2.jpg
My problem? My problem is that I hate you.

heath4.jpg
Hate me? You don't even know me!

tanya2.jpg
I destroyed you. I got rid of your name. I got rid of your hair. I would have gotten rid of your face if I could have afforded it.

heath2.jpg
You can't get rid of me that easily.

tanya4.jpg
No kidding. For twenty years I was free of you. And now you come breezing back!

heath2.jpg
Breezing back? From where?

tanya2.jpg
First Jim wanted a promotion. And now this idiot here wants... I don't know what!

epiph2991.jpg

joey1.jpg
Hey, leave me out of this.

Yeah, leave Joey alone, it's not like he brought you here or something :troll:

epiph2993.jpg

epiph2994.jpg

epiph2995.jpg

:M

epiph2996.jpg

epiph2997.jpg

joey1.jpg
Look at each other. You are the same person. Give or take twenty years.

heath4.jpg
I don't understand.

tanya4.jpg
I... don't think I want to.

joey1.jpg
Tanya, what happened when you got Jim's note?

tanya4.jpg
What note?

joey1.jpg
It's too late to deny it.

tanya1.jpg
Nothing happened. I just wanted to forget.

heath4.jpg
Forget what?

tanya2.jpg
Forget you! Forget this whole life I left behind.

heath2.jpg
Why? Why are you so ashamed of me?

heath3.jpg
All this. This life. It's a part of who you were. Who you've become.

tanya4.jpg
Will I... ever be free of you?

heath3.jpg
Do you really want to be? I'm not a bad person. I'm just... kinda lost. I know I'll find my way eventually. Isn't that the important thing?

tanya4.jpg
...

heath1.jpg
Well, isn't it?

tanya4.jpg
Look at you. I really was beautiful once.

heath1.jpg
You're really beautiful now.

tanya4.jpg
...

tanya3.jpg
Damn straight.

epiph3020.jpg

"Tanya" absorbs "Heather".

epiph3022.jpg

joey1.jpg
You okay?

tanya3.jpg
Okay? I haven't felt this good in years! It's like a... an espresso and a colonic all at once!

:hmmm:

tanya2.jpg
Speaking of which, you can take your blackmail threat and shove it. And I'm going to tell Jim the same thing. Maybe it will end my career. Or maybe it will give me a book deal. Either way, I'm tired of hiding.

joey1.jpg
Tanya, listen.

tanya2.jpg
No, I'm not Tanya anymore. Tanya died.

Hoho, you have no idea.

tanya1.jpg
She...

joey1.jpg
She what?

tanya4.jpg
She... I... we...

epiph3037.jpg

And here comes the flickering.

tanya4.jpg
... took three valium and a vodka chaser. That's all I remember. You're not really a blackmailer, are you?

joey1.jpg
No, I'm not.

tanya4.jpg
I'm... I'm dead?

joey1.jpg
I'm sorry.

tanya4.jpg
I... ugh. If I'm dead, why do I feel sick in my stomach?

epiph3048.jpg

joey1.jpg
Listen, there's no time to explain, just grab a hold of this.

tanya2.jpg
What?

joey1.jpg
Just do it!

epiph3051.jpg

zap!

joey1.jpg
That was... interesting.

rosa1.jpg
Did it work?

joey1.jpg
Only one way to find out.

Indeed.

epiph3055.jpg

mike4.jpg
Hey, look who's here! Heather's safe and sound!

tanya4.jpg
Safe? You always were an optimist, Michael.

mike3.jpg
Sorry, I know this is not the sort of reunion we expected after all this time. But you have no idea. I thought you were... Well, I explained that already.

joey1.jpg
So, Madeline, you've got your spook. What have you learnt?

mad1.jpg
It's interesting. The spirit is experiencing what would be considered nausea in a living person.

tanya2.jpg
This spirit? I do have a name.

mad1.jpg
Apologies. She is being pulled. There is the signature of another spirit at work.

rosa1.jpg
A signature?

mad1.jpg
Yes, I can see it. It is faint, but I can see it. Only the power of this circle is stopping it from gaining a foothold. Unfortunately, it is too faint for me to see anything useful. And we dare not lower the circle. I need to examine another soul. One that is marked, like this one.

mike1.jpg
And by another soul, you mean Peter, don't you?

tanya1.jpg
Peter? Peter Fielding?

mike1.jpg
Yes. His soul is still out there.

tanya4.jpg
... I see.

Let's see if we can dig some more info out of folks.

rosa1.jpg
Father Michael?

epiph3090.jpg

ALL THEM OPTIONS @_@

rosa1.jpg
You knew George Ostin, right?

mike1.jpg
Yeah, years ago we went to Grace Group meetings together. He was... God, you should have seen him. A total mess. He looked like a street bum. I don't think he'd showered in weeks. But that was George. He only put effort into things he cared about. The Grace Group helped him find what it was.

rosa1.jpg
I heard he became an art dealer.

mike1.jpg
Yeah, none of us could believe it. George least of all. He always used to say that he would never discovered his calling on his own. And he would have wasted his entire life not knowing. Sigh. I used to feel the same way.

rosa1.jpg
Lia was part of the Grace Group, right?

mike1.jpg
It was over twenty years ago, but yes. She was a secretary at the time, I think. She was childhood friends with George, and she brought him to the meetings, hoping to help him out. Turns out it helped both of them. She quit her job and joined the police force. She said the Grace Group helped her find her way. I suppose... until now, it did.

rosa1.jpg
Did you know Lia's daughter, Kendra?

mike3.jpg
My God. I heard what happened. Madeline told me that her soul passed on peacefully? That she's... where she's supposed to be?

how would she know that

rosa1.jpg
Yes. She's... fine.

mike1.jpg
I see. You have my thanks for that.

rosa1.jpg
Are you familiar with Emil Haskins? Lia's ex-husband?

mike1.jpg
Sadly, no. Lia and I lost touch years ago. I didn't know she had even married in the first place until recently. But... I feel for him. Do you know there's no word for a parent who loses a child? The prospect is so unthinkable, we can't even name it.

Huh. That's actually true.

rosa1.jpg
I guess we should get going.

mike4.jpg
Godspeed.

joey1.jpg
Hey, Maddy?

mad1.jpg
Sigh. Yes, Mallone?

epiph3124.jpg

Lotsa junk dialogues here, let's skip those. Except

joey1.jpg
So we never really talked about the Countess.

mad1.jpg
I am aware. I have purposely avoided the subject.

joey1.jpg
Why's that?

mad2.jpg
She banished me, Mallone. Left me alone in an infinite void of nothing.

mad1.jpg
I may have forgiven her. I may even understand her motives. But... I cannot bear to think of her. Not yet. Please don't ask about her again.

:butthurt:

joey1.jpg
Right, we're going to take off. Plan our next move.

mad1.jpg
Of course. We will be here.

epiph3146.jpg

Next stop: The inevitable saving of Peter Fielding!

The next update in the LP is actually p. cool and one of the better parts of the game overall. And after that...

well

:avatard:

Also, hobobucket tells me I'm approaching the bandwidth limit, and since I sure as hell don't want to wait till June with further updates, I'll keep updating this LP regardless. Besides, the site's 'UMG BANDWIDTH EXCEEDED' pics can be easily bypassed with adblock or scriptblock. And if you aren't using those in the first place, well, usuk.

Been a while since I read this LP from the start, but was that split soul thing ever mentioned or just a complete asspull?

Aside from aforementioned asspull this wasn't a bad update. Still..... is it me or is there no puzzle solving to speak of this time around? Aside form the climbing mini-game, all the gameplay seems to be travel here, talk to this, travel there, talk to that. The series never had any tough puzzles, but I remember there being more gameplay in the others.

Next in line for saving: Peter Fielding!

epiph3146.jpg

epiph3147.jpg

epiph3149.jpg

joey1.jpg
So I'm told you give personal training sessions.

pete2.jpg
Yeah. You interested?

joey1.jpg
I sure am.

pete2.jpg
Well, I don't have the time now, but I can probably pencil you in. Just gotta check the schedule outside.

epiph3155.jpg

epiph3156.jpg

joey1.jpg
Sure, I can swing that.

pete2.jpg
Great, here's my number in case you need to reschedule. Got a phone?

joey1.jpg
Ah, no, I'll just remember it.

pete1.jpg
Hm. Okay, 646-555-0425

joey1.jpg
Thanks.

pete2.jpg
Great, see you then. And by the way, when you come to our session... don't wear a suit.

:M

epiph3177.jpg

And then he zooms back into the men's room.

K, quite obviously we'll have to tamper with the calendar somehow.

epiph3166.jpg

Calling Peter quite obviously yields no answer.

But... NEW MAIL!!!!

epiph3168.jpg

:troll:

epiph3169.jpg

:troll:

Good ol' Rosa, pissing everyone off left and right

epiph3182.jpg

Let's see if we can trace Peter's number.

epiph3183.jpg

epiph3184.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Could you look up another phone number for me?

cop1.jpg
I suppose I can. Within reason.

rosa1.jpg
I'm trying to track down someone who Lia knew. The number is 646-555-0425

cop1.jpg
All right, gimme a second. That phone is registered to a unit in Murray Hill. Here's the address.

rosa1.jpg
Well, I'd better go. Thanks for the help.

cop1.jpg
Sure.

epiph3193.jpg

epiph3194.jpg

wow, such location

KNOCK KNOCK!

ugh, coming

epiph3196.jpg

Holy shit, she looks exactly like one of my psycho teachers.

epiph3197.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Who are you?

mag1.jpg
Who's asking?

epiph3200.jpg

rosa1.jpg
I'm a friend of Peter's.

mag1.jpg
So?

rosa1.jpg
So I was hoping we could talk about him?

mag1.jpg
Funny. I was hoping to be left alone tonight. Guess who wins?

SLAM

epiph3206.jpg

joey1.jpg
Dunno. It can't be your copious amounts of social grace.

epiph3208.jpg

Joey goes in.

Dis place... :patriot:

joey1.jpg
She looks like she stopped caring about anything years ago. After seeing the state of this joint, Red's place doesn't seem so bad.

There are some papers on the table.

epiph3211.jpg

ZE KARTH HAUS?

epiph3212.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Bingo! The case number IS listed in the file. It belongs to a "Maggie Fielding". It appears she was picked up in the raid on the Karth House. She was brought in for an emergency detox and forced to go into rehab. It lists one known family member. A brother, Peter Fielding.

KNOCK KNOCK

epiph3219.jpg

epiph3221.jpg

Maggie, I know everything (tm).

rosa1.jpg
You're Peter's sister Maggie, right?

mag2.jpg
Sure, fine, you got me.

rosa1.jpg
Why couldn't you just tell me that before?

mag1.jpg
Because I'm trying to get HEALTHY.

Wanna join a gym?

mag1.jpg
Working through the program. Admitting I have a problem. Just like my sponsor says. All that is first step. I'm still working on the rest. Talking about Peter? That's step five. I'm not ready yet. It's nothing personal, I just have to avoid thinking about him for a while.

rosa1.jpg
And you're doing that by living in his apartment?

:M

mag1.jpg
... it's just temporary. I have nowhere else to go. And besides, what difference does it make? He's gone. He had a stupid accident, and now he's gone.

rosa1.jpg
That's just it, Maggie. It might not have been an accident.

mag1.jpg
No. Whatever you are thinking, no. I need this to be over, you understand?

rosa1.jpg
Then we need to talk. You can call your sponsor if you want to.

mag1.jpg
Sigh. Screw my sponsor, let's do this.

epiph3243.jpg

epiph3244.jpg

rosa1.jpg
What do you know about Peter's death?

mag2.jpg
Just what I was told. That he was fixing a lightbulb and fell off the ladder. I remember thinking it was a pretty stupid way to go. Especially for him.

rosa1.jpg
How do you mean?

mag2.jpg
Did you know the guy? He was obsessed with health. To die just falling off a ladder... I always thought he'd outlive the world.

rosa1.jpg
Why is Peter such a sore subject with you?

mag1.jpg
That's between me and him. Or his ghost or whatever.

rosa1.jpg
It might help to talk about it.

... to a complete stranger.

mag2.jpg
I'm still working with the program. Talking about it is step number 5. I'm not ready for it yet.

rosa1.jpg
Could you tell me about your father? He opened the gym, right?

mag1.jpg
Sure.

rosa1.jpg
Could you tell me anything else about him?

mag2.jpg
If you want to know more about him, you'll have to ask him yourself. Here's his address. He's always home.

LOCASHUN UNLOCKED!

rosa1.jpg
So what are you watching?

mag2.jpg
Dunno, some animated thing. Not normally into cartoons, but the ratings say it's good.

Happy tree friends?

rosa1.jpg
Is it?

mag1.jpg
I guess. They changed the main character's voice after the first episode, but it's not bad.

:D

This is probably a jab at the series itself, too. Rosa was voiced by a different womyn in Legacy.

mag2.jpg
Keeps my mind off the... well, the stuff you keep bringing up.

rosa1.jpg
Have you ever heard of the Grace Group?

mag2.jpg
What, those circlejerk meetings my brother went to?

rosa1.jpg
You know about it?

mag2.jpg
Yeah, I know about it. Peter was a mess before he joined that group. If you ask him, he'd say it helped him find himself.

rosa1.jpg
Did it?

mag2.jpg
Dunno, I thought it was a cult. Might have been better if it was.

rosa1.jpg
Why's that?

mag2.jpg
Look, nevermind. Peter found himself, good for him. I just have to focus on myself.

rosa1.jpg
Well, I'd better be going.

mag1.jpg
Sure, you know the way.

epiph3279.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Wait. This is Greenwood Cemetery!

D:

epiph3281.jpg

4k0DvO.png
I'd rather not tread where the dead sleep.

rosa1.jpg
There are lot of family crypts in this cemetery. Some going back a hundred years.

AND AMONG THE TOMBSTONES...!

epiph3282.jpg

D:

Also, hey, we got new email.

epiph3284.jpg

yeah fuck you too

epiph3285.jpg

MAGGIE FIELDING WILL PAY FOR THIS MISDIRECTION!

epiph3287.jpg

rosa1.jpg
[intelligence] So your father is dead.

mag2.jpg
Yep.

rosa3.jpg
Why didn't you just say that instead of sending me to that cemetery?

mag2.jpg
The only person to visit dad was Peter, and he doesn't do that anymore. I figured dad could use the company.

rosa1.jpg
Really.

mag2.jpg
No. Not really. I told you, there are things I can't talk about yet.

rosa1.jpg
You said Peter visited the cemetery?

mag2.jpg
Once a year. On the anniversary of dad's death. Peter was a damn saint.

And that would be March 18th.

Anyways!

epiph3309.jpg

Let's see if the cops have anything to say about Old Man Fielding 'cuz GOOGLE sure as hell doesn't.

ZUdTwr.jpg

epiph3310.jpg

epiph3311.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Is there anything in the system about a Connor Fielding? He died about twenty years ago.

cop1.jpg
Let's see. Our records from back then are a bit spotty, but can't hurt to check. Hm, no. Nothing comes up, but it's a VERY common name. Is there anything specific you can tell me about him?

rosa1.jpg
He was in the army.

cop1.jpg
Huh. Then there might be something in the Veterans Association records.

rosa1.jpg
Aren't those public?

cop1.jpg
Not everything. But fortunately for you, I can access it all. Okay, archived records... Connor Fielding... Oh, seriously?

rosa1.jpg
What's wrong?

cop1.jpg
Idiots. They had no idea how to archive data back then. I can only look him up by service number. You don't know it, do you?

Verdammt!

rosa1.jpg
I don't, sorry.

cop1.jpg
Well, once you know it, let me know.

Drat!

After this, I've been running around not really knowing what to do for a while. Because quite obviously you gotta get into the gym somehow and edit the calendar.

But how to bypass the card reader lock?

The solution is pretty bleh.

epiph3344.jpg

Among all the trash in Maggie's apartment, we find this card here, for sum good ol' kinda-pixel hunting.

It's annoying because just about everything around her is just tagged as "filth", so you don't pay much attention to the stuff.

epiph3345.jpg

Anyways,

epiph3347.jpg

Joey blows it off the table, but it won't go any further.

epiph3349.jpg

epiph3350.jpg

rosa5.jpg
Um. Could you just excuse me for a sec? My shoe is untied.

mag2.jpg
Sure, I guess.

rosa1.jpg
Thanks.

joey1.jpg
Smooth.

epiph3357.jpg

LET US RAID THE GYM!

epiph3358.jpg

I am the gate, I am the key

epiph3360.jpg

There's a picture frame on the ground. Let's be a good samaritan and put it back up.

rosa1.jpg
There we go.

rosa2.jpg
Nobody can say I don't do anything nice.

epiph3363.jpg

A-HA!!! But we'll bug the poleece about it later.

First things first

epiph3364.jpg

epiph3365.jpg

epiph3367.jpg

hyuk hyuk

epiph3371.jpg

They will spring the trap!

joey1.jpg
Say, can we reschedule that training session you set up?

pete2.jpg
Sure, we can do that. Let's go check the calendar outside.

epiph3374.jpg

:M

rosa4.jpg
Oh, um. Sorry.

Rosa keeps doing that face in the most inappropriate of contexts.

pete2.jpg
No problem. Just be sure to put on sneakers or something if you want to work out here. Anyway, let's check the schedule...

pete3.jpg
Huh, is that the date? Hey, listen, I'm sorry, but there's an appointment that I have to keep.

pete2.jpg
Can we sort this out another day?

joey1.jpg
Sure. No problem.

pete2.jpg
Thanks.

epiph3384.jpg

Thar she blawz.

epiph3392.jpg

Peter went to the cemetery, we can now check the poleece.

epiph3395.jpg

rosa1.jpg
I found Connor's service number. It's 070234541.

cop1.jpg
That should be all I need. Let's see... Okay, here we go. Connor Fielding. Served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969. Honourably discharged, moved to New York with his family a few years later... Huh, that's interesting.

rosa1.jpg
What?

cop1.jpg
It says here that the police were called to his apartment several times. Reports of raised voices. Possible domestic abuse. No charges were pressed, which is why it wasn't in our police records.

Snitch neighbours :outrage:

rosa1.jpg
But it's in a military database?

cop1.jpg
Word gets around. Someone must have noted it in his VA file. Doesn't say much else.

Splendid!

epiph3409.jpg

With zis information... we can inject butthurt!

epiph3410.jpg

rosa1.jpg
I... learnt a bit about your father.

mag2.jpg
You did?

rosa1.jpg
The police were called several times to this house. No charges were made. It's not hard to read between the lines.

mag1.jpg
Huh. Well, I suppose you know everything (tm) now.

rosa1.jpg
I don't, but I'm trying to.

mag1.jpg
Why? Why do you care so much? What does my father beating the crap out of my mother have to do with how Peter died?

epiph3419.jpg

rosa1.jpg
I have my reasons @_@

mag2.jpg
So do I. There's a reason why I can't talk about this. I've been trying to forget this crap my whole life. And now I have a chance. I'm not going back to... THAT. I'm sorry, I know you think you have good reasons, but I really need to be alone right now.

rosa1.jpg
Listen-

mag1.jpg
Please, leave!

rosa7.jpg
Okay.

epiph3428.jpg

joey1.jpg
You have such a way with people.

epiph3430.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Just leaving. Where are you going?

mag3.jpg
To visit my precious father. Not that it's any of your business. My neighbors are kinda twitchy. You'd better get out of here before someone calls the cops.

D:

AFTER HER!!!

epiph3435.jpg

Time for a family reunion! \^-^/

epiph3436.jpg

rosa1.jpg
Maggie?

pete1.jpg
Huh?

mag4.jpg
Huh. I had a feeling you'd follow me here.

pete1.jpg
I didn't follow you. You got here after I did.

mag5.jpg
You're not going to leave me alone, are you?

pete1.jpg
You know I try to help you out whenever I can.

mag3.jpg
Not until I spill everything?

pete1.jpg
I've never pressured you to talk to me, Maggie. Although, God knows, maybe I should have.

rosa1.jpg
I'm sorry, but it's important.

mag4.jpg
Maybe it's because I'm out of that stuffy apartment. Maybe it's because when I'm here, I know he's really gone.

pete1.jpg
I know, I miss him too.

Huehuehue

mag4.jpg
Talking about it, the fifth step. My sponsor said I didn't have to do them in order. Many people don't. I guess now is as good time as any.

pete1.jpg
I'd like that, Maggie. I really would.

mag4.jpg
So. Talk.

rosa1.jpg
Tell me about your father.

mag4.jpg
It's not about him. Not really. It's all wrapped up with Peter. It's always Peter.

pete3.jpg
What are you talking about?

rosa1.jpg
What did Peter do?

mag3.jpg
Nothing. Everything.

pete3.jpg
Maggie, what are you talking about?

mag3.jpg
Sigh. He took over my dad's gym, made it successful. I hated him for it.

pete3.jpg
Wait, what? Don't you remember how miserable I was? Drifting from job to job, hating all of them.

pete4.jpg
Running dad's gym was something I was good at. I thought you'd be happy for me.

rosa1.jpg
Didn't Peter have lots of jobs he hated, before he started working at the gym? Couldn't you be happy for him?

mag5.jpg
Happy? Happy that he took my father's name and made it... revered?

pete1.jpg
I don't see the problem here.

mag5.jpg
The people in the neighbourhood LOVE that gym. They come by and say what a nice old man Connor Fielding was. And what a shame he died, and how NICE that his son took up his legacy. Legacy. A legacy of bruises, screams and hiding in the dark.

pete3.jpg
Bruises? What are you talking about?

mag4.jpg
You always believed her when she said she was clumsy. It was like some horrible after school special.

pete3.jpg
Maggie, you are not saying what I think you're saying.

mag4.jpg
You never knew, did you Peter? So wrapped up in yourself, you never knew what he was doing.

pete4.jpg
Why didn't you ever tell me?

mag4.jpg
Mom hid it from both of us, and I was too scared to say anything. In the end, it was just easier to say nothing. And hate you. And now it's too late. For what it's worth, I don't hate you anymore, Peter. But I need to get on with my life.

epiph3491.jpg

She moves over to a pile of snow and uncovers another grave.

pete3.jpg
Goodbye? What do you mean goodbye?

mag3.jpg
Um. Sorry, I should go.

pete3.jpg
Maggie, wait! Maggie! I never knew!

pete4.jpg
I swear, I never knew. I just... don't understand. I...

epiph3500.jpg

He looks upon the grave.

epiph3501.jpg

Upon the grave of guilt

pete3.jpg
Huh?

epiph3504.jpg

And then he starts flickering.

pete3.jpg
My God!

joey1.jpg
I'm sorry, Peter.

pete3.jpg
I remember. The ladder, it broke.

pete1.jpg
Oh man, I don't feel so good.

joey1.jpg
Right, we don't have a lot of time. Peter, I need you to grab a hold of this.

pete3.jpg
What the heck is that thing?

joey1.jpg
No time, just grab!

epiph3514.jpg

Zap!

This was a cool scene, although something similar was already done in Deception.

joey1.jpg
Well, that was close.

rosa1.jpg
Did it work?

joey1.jpg
Let's get back and find out.

epiph3518.jpg

It seems to have worked.

Stay tuned, as next update... We shall uncover the root of the problem! :avatard:

The deaths of Heather and Peter appear to have really been accidents, though I guess they could have been caused by some sort of supernatural intervention.

I don't detect any humongous writing flaws this time, big improvement.

I'm still surprised at how trivial the "puzzles" are. Most of the game seems just busywork. Watch cutscene, go here, click on person, go there, click on grave, go back here, click on person.... and as a result the way some of the information is given to the player borders on retarded, such as the conversation with the priest earlier, or the service number (is it really something veterans have on their service portrait?). It's as if there was a puzzle at every step, the puzzles all get removed, and something cheap is added to make sure the rest of the game still flows.

The narrative also seems to suffer from some problems. Deception had very good buildup, starting with Jeremy's death and slowly introducing Gavin and revealing how he was ruining the girls' lives, until it culminates with the scene with Jamie. And by this point, just like Joey, you want to meet Gavin so you can punch him in the face. Epiphany goes for the shocker prologue, followed by the shocker suicide, except the latter shock is completely ruined by idiocy of everyone involved, and it also means that, once he's run out of tweests and has to develop the actual story, nothing really happens or is revealed in the middle section that we just saw. Especially since the backstories, both Heather's double life and Peter's home abuse stuff, are side plots that seem mostly unrelated to the main matter at hand.

The cemetary scene also felt like it could've made for a great interactive bit, with Rosa having to say things that make it to Peter as if Heather is talking to him. Instead it's all on autopilot, and some of the lines in the exchange also feel pretty forced and unnatural, when coming out of Heather.

Personally, I don't. It's an entry in a story-, character- and mythos-heavy series, which has to wrap up things in a way that feels like an ending, and apparently feeling suitably "important" for their most popular franchise. The company is then planning on shifting engines with their next game, which means having to start a lot of things from scratch, and is probably occupying a lot of logic-brain-time to get up to speed and doing what they want simply.

I don't see how being story and character heavy prevents you from having anything resembling a puzzle. Especially when Deception, the previous entry in the same series, pulled off better puzzles while STILL being more story and character heavy than the entries before it. That said, even if I were to allow story to excuse bad puzzles, even the narrative here is both a step back from before and not terribly good in its own right, as I've already pointed out earlier. And I really, really don't see how "planning for the next great game" excuses flaws in THIS game.

I probably shouldn't have cut my post down as much as I did.

For the first point, the big trap for story-heavy games is that you design the story but no good puzzles for it, then when you add in puzzles later they're either weak or don't fit in well. It's too easy for the telling a story aspect to become the reason for (not a feature of) a game (see Telltale and Quantic Dream), so when you're left with a weak story, the other problems become more obvious. Personally, I've not really thought much of the puzzles in this series, but I like playing investigator and the characters were neat so I was happy to play them as is; but from what I've gathered from the ending of the penultimate game it's moving into a big epic thing instead of the much smaller battles. That shift there - to make the last game feel like a finale - is where they've probably gone wrong: trying to wrap up everything, explain Joey's background, etc., takes time and energy from the dev team that probably would have been better spent on working on a tighter game.

As for the second point, I'm not trying to excuse it; I was disappointed in the ending to the penultimate game a lot, especially as #4 had been my favourite of the games. But it seems likely to be (at least partially) why this game isn't as good as the others were. Changing from dev tools you're familiar with to new ones is a pretty big step, and if they've already decided to do that then they'll have already looked into it, probably spending time getting things to work, etc., and that means not putting in the time to polish this one up properly. Especially if they think they can get away with it, which they (sadly) probably can given it's their core franchise and doing pretty well for a game in a "dead" genre.

Yeah, I agree with Redlands about the previous games as well. Them puzzles were never really a high point for the whole series, it's just that their relative lack or weakness has been toned down by the cool stories (bro) and good writing. But now the story is not very cool (bro) and the writing borders on dumb at times, which also makes you think "ugh, if at least the puzzles were any good...".

But having said that, I really, REALLY dislike how much going back and forth there is in this game. Don't know something? Ask Madeline!!! Ask the police!!! Ask Maggie!!! Ask whomever the hell!!! I honestly don't remember anything like this in the previous games, you almost always had to get to the bottom of EVERYTHING by yourself.

It's not just that. They were never a high point, but they were there, and despite not being challenging they were actually quite good, and as far as puzzles in a beginner's adventure I'd say they could be great. They were also extremely well integrated into the narrative. I've already mentioned the Jamie sequence several times, but the dialogue-puzzle with Gavin also qualifies. Simple puzzles, yet memorable in their own right. This is why Deception was so good, not just because it had a good story/character/whatever, but because the gameplay was also good. And it managed to do this despite easy puzzles, by always keeping some player agency, letting you put 2 and 2 together, letting you figure things out and act on them. Remember all these times you could put clues together to reach a "new" clue? When was the last time this got used in Epiphany? I can count at least 3 instances in which it would've made sense to have the mechanic, but it's not there and is instead replaced with very lame autopilot dialogue.

But having said that, I really, REALLY dislike how much going back and forth there is in this game. Don't know something? Ask Madeline!!! Ask the police!!! Ask Maggie!!! Ask whomever the hell!!! Exactly. That's what I've been saying all along.

SEE IF I GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR LIMITS, PHOTOBUCKET

Previously, on Blackwell: Epitaph.

epiph3519.jpg

Time to get to the bottom of this!

tanya4.jpg
It's all true, Peter. Can't you feel it? Like something is trying to pull you away?

pete3.jpg
I thought it was just indigestion, but I've never had indigestion in my life! Figures that I get it when I'm dead.

rosa1.jpg
Madeline, have you tried to examine them?

mad1.jpg
I think... yes.

rosa1.jpg
Madeline?

mad1.jpg
Yes, apologies. I believe I have all the information I need.

epiph3529.jpg

Wot

mike1.jpg
Huh? Madeline?

pete1.jpg
Ugh, I don't feel so good.

tanya4.jpg
This can't be right... Michael, what's going on?

mike2.jpg
Madeline?!

mad2.jpg
Apologies, my host.

epiph3536.jpg

Holy shit!

epiph3537.jpg

epiph3539.jpg

mike2.jpg
I... Madeline...? What just happened?

epiph3542.jpg

mad3.jpg
That felt... quite pleasant.

So yeah. Well...

I kinda started suspecting that Madeline was up to no good for a while now :M

mike2.jpg
Madeline??

He raises his gun as if that's gonna help him in any way.

joey3.jpg
Hey!

mad2.jpg
You. Mallone. Stay BACK. You as well, Blackwell. I have absorbed enough energy to burn that precious body of yours to a cinder.

mike2.jpg
Why? Why do this?!

epiph3551.jpg

Is Madeline gonna have to choke a bitch?

mad1.jpg
Have you ever heard of the concept: "The journey of the soul"?

mike2.jpg
W-What?

mad1.jpg
It is said that every soul has a predestined fate, a destiny. And the goal of every soul is to find it. But it is also said that the joy comes from the journey, not the destination.

epiph3558.jpg

mad1.jpg
Without the epiphanies that were pushed into your brains as if by magic? Maybe you would have all found your way, maybe not. But you skipped the journey, went right to the destination. It made your souls happy, for certain, but it also made them weak, pliable, controllable. By someone like me. And now, if you'll excuse me, I am still very hungry.

Madeline's voice actress is very good btw, and it shows the best in this scene, I think. She manages to combine this kind of "now I've got you" smugness, drama/pretence and an "I'm so old I don't even care now" indifference very well.

epiph3567.jpg

Madeline uses strip soul.

epiph3568.jpg

2U3qwB.jpg
WITNESS YOUR DEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWMMMMMMMMMM

epiph3570.jpg

epiph3571.jpg

epiph3572.jpg

Well. This bodycount sure is rising steadily.

epiph3573.jpg

rosa3.jpg
[perception] You. This whole time. It was you.

mad1.jpg
Indirectly. I knew these souls existed, I just needed to collect them. I could not collect my host until last, because my existence here was tied to him. As for Fielding and Goffstein... they were sleeping spirits. They needed to be awakened. Something only you could do. So thank you for that.

uhm

why would only rosa and joey be able to awaken those spirits

joey3.jpg
What the hell are you doing this for? I pulled you out of the dark, you were FREE. Why mess that up?

mad1.jpg
Free? You, of all souls, tell me that I'm free? I am dead. For centuries I have been dead. I was a good spirit guide, I did my duty. And yet, did I ever move on? Did I receive any reward? No. I was passed on from host to host. Saving spirit after spirit.

mad2.jpg
It became tiresome. Then my last host BANISHED me. I remained there, in the void, alone. Forgotten by the universe. Until you brought me out.

joey3.jpg
Yeah, well, we all make mistakes.

mad2.jpg
But I was still not free. To fully free myself, I needed power. Energy. These souls - these poor, misguided souls - were the nearest source I could find.

joey3.jpg
Collect? What do you mean by that?

mad1.jpg
Perhaps the word is not sufficient. Possibly... consume? Ingest? Absorb? I took their energy as part of my own.

rosa3.jpg
You need to fix this.

mad1.jpg
Fix this?

rosa7.jpg
Yes. You can still make it right. Just undo it. Please. Bring them back. I'll bring them through the light and... we'll just pretend this never happened.

mad3.jpg
I am sorry. I have not come this far only to turn back now.

rosa4.jpg
And what do you need energy FOR? What on earth could be worth all THIS?

mad3.jpg
Allow me to demonstrate.

epiph3604.jpg

Whoa, fucking force pull is OP

epiph3605.jpg

And force... uh, fire field!

joey4.jpg
What the hell are you doing?!

Joey tries to intervene but bumps off the force field.

epiph3608.jpg

Force... granulation?

epiph3609.jpg

And force ingestion!

epiph3610.jpg

epiph3611.jpg

D:

joey1.jpg
Red, you okay?

epiph3613.jpg

joey1.jpg
Come on, darling, say something.

rosa9.jpg
Interesting. I wondered if I would have to relearn how to breathe. Or walk. But it all comes quite naturally.

rosa5.jpg
Like putting on a tailored glove.

FORCE POSSESSION!

epiph3618.jpg

joey5.jpg
This... isn't happening.

rosa9.jpg
You have spent the last three nights ensuring that it did. Denying it won't solve anything.

joey3.jpg
No. It won't. But since I can't punch you, that's all I've got.

rosa1.jpg
Mallone, there is no need for this hostility.

joey3.jpg
No need? You lied to us from day one!

rosa1.jpg
I apologise for the ruse. I admit I have not been completely forthcoming.

joey3.jpg
No kidding.

rosa9.jpg
Come now, Mallone. Nothing has changed. I won't shirk the duty, I have no choice. We will continue to save lost souls. Performing it from this end could be... refreshing.

epiph3631.jpg

joey3.jpg
Like hell.

rosa9.jpg
Sadly, you have no choice.

joey1.jpg
I work with Red, not you.

rosa9.jpg
You can think of me as her, if it will help.

joey3.jpg
I'm going to fix this.

rosa9.jpg
I'm afraid it's too late for that.

joey3.jpg
Red! Fight her! Whatever she's doing, fight her!

rosa1.jpg
She cannot. If her predecessors could not win against me, then she has no hope. Not with the power I now possess.

joey4.jpg
Predecessors? What are you talking about?

rosa1.jpg
This is not the first time I have attempted this. In the void, I could only reach certain minds. The minds of other Bestowers.

joey4.jpg
Other Bestowers? You mean...?

rosa1.jpg
The other Blackwell womyn, yes. But I was too weak, and so were they. I could only control their minds for a few minutes before they... broke.

dun dun dun

joey4.jpg
...

joey3.jpg
Broke?

rosa1.jpg
I did not expect that would happen. But some good did come of it. I eventually learned the proper approach. And finally, I have succeeded.

joey5.jpg
You are insane. I mean it, Madeline, a stark raving lunatic.

joey3.jpg
Do you have any idea what you've done?

rosa3.jpg
You dare condemn me, little ghost? Allow a few centuries to pass. Wait until you've been left abandoned in the dark. Adrift. Terrified. Then you can pass judgement. But until then, I must get to the business of living.

epiph3660.jpg

"Rosa" leaves the building.

joey3.jpg
I said - stay here!

epiph3663.jpg

epiph3664.jpg

Joey is pulled away through the wall.

epiph3666.jpg

epiph3667.jpg

And again.

rosa9.jpg
Do try and keep up.

She just keeps walking in front of the church, barely passing the streetlight, and moving back again.

Let's chat her up.

joey3.jpg
Hey, Maddy.

rosa1.jpg
Yes, Mallone?

epiph4503.jpg

(those letters hanging in the air are dev commentary mode cuz I had to take these pix again when going through the game 2nd time with the commentary on :M )

joey1.jpg
Now what?

rosa9.jpg
I will simply... live. I will grow old, and I will die. Like any other soul. And when that happens, perhaps I will move on as intended. It is a slim hope, but after centuries of existence, it is the best I have.

joey3.jpg
You killed Lauren. And Patricia.

rosa1.jpg
I did not. I admit, their minds' rejection of me had unintended... consequences. But there was no malice intended.

Yeah, no malice, apart from the forceful possession and stuffies

joey3.jpg
Yeah, that's jake, as long as there was no MALICE.

joey6.jpg
Maybe you didn't mean to kill Lauren and Patricia. But you did kill George Ostin.

rosa1.jpg
As a spirit? I hardly think so.

joey6.jpg
Bull. You are the only one with any motive. I don't know how, but it was you.

rosa1.jpg
Poor Cooper. A weakened soul is SUCH a sad thing. And his mind was SO easily controllable. Why, in such a state, he could be told to do anything. Anything at all. And he would do it. With no memory of it. Well, perhaps some residual guilt remained. He HAS gotten quite agitated since it happened. Fortunately, that is no longer relevent (sic, shamefur typo :rpgcodex: )

joey3.jpg
I'm gonna fix this, one way or another.

rosa1.jpg
You honestly believe that?

joey3.jpg
This might seem strange to you, but yeah. I've always known I was here for a reason. And maybe this is it. To fix what spooks like you screw up.

rosa1.jpg
This is... amusing.

joey6.jpg
Amusing?

rosa1.jpg
Yes. You honestly don't know? No. No, of course you don't.

ARE YOU ENTERTAINED?!

joey3.jpg
Of course I don't know WHAT?

rosa1.jpg
You think you are so special? You think you were... what, chosen? You were nothing important, Mallone. You were merely the last.

joey3.jpg
The last what?

rosa1.jpg
The last spirit we saved. Before I was banished. I could not continue the duty, so it was passed onto you.

joey3.jpg
What the hell do you mean? I was the "last spirit you saved"?

rosa1.jpg
Honestly, did you think you were different from any other lost soul? The confusion. The fear they all felt. That YOU felt. It is no wonder you have forgotten.

D:

joey3.jpg
Doesn't matter. This was then, this is now. And right now, I plan on fixing this. Why are you pacing around?

rosa9.jpg
No reason. I am just... enjoying the sensation. It's been a long time since I have felt snow on my face.

joey3.jpg
That's not your face.

rosa9.jpg
True, I suppose, but no matter. I am still enjoying it.

joey1.jpg
... you can't go any further, can you?

rosa9.jpg
Whatever do you mean?

joey7.jpg
You're stuck. You're tied to Michael. Trying to escape it is like hitting a brick wall.

Joey puts on his rapeface

rosa1.jpg
This is a temporary setback, nothing more.

joey7.jpg
What are you gonna do? Lug Michael's body around in a wheelbarrow? I'd like to see that.

rosa3.jpg
Don't be absurd. You know as well as I do. I am bound to his corporeal form for a few days. After that... I will be free.

joey7.jpg
Hah, some master plan. All this planning, all this death. And you can't even cross the street.

rosa9.jpg
Only for a day or two. I can wait. I have infinite patience.

joey7.jpg
Yeah, but does your stomach? You're gonna get hungry.

rosa1.jpg
Any problem has a solution.

joey7.jpg
What about going to the bathroom? Red drank a LOT of coffee.

rosa1.jpg
... perhaps burning Michael's body to ashes. Or some kind of cleansing ritual....

joey3.jpg
Here's an idea. Take a powder. Just leave us the hell alone.

rosa3.jpg
Will you let me THINK?!

joey7.jpg
I can't wait for the cops to show up. A dead priest, and you just around the corner. Bet you never expected to come back to life only to spend it in jail.

This part of the conversation and the rapeface are all sorts of hilarious.

rosa3.jpg
Will you be quiet! Honestly, why you haven't driven your host completely mad is beyond me.

Well, that's all. She obviously won't be very cooperative.

Anyways, I think now is a good time to step back and reflect on a few things.

First, this whole 'lul i made Michael shoot George" thing is, if you ask me, very half-arsed, and probably a by-product band-aid of "WE NEED SOMEONE TO GET SHOT IN THE FIRST SCENE @_@ " script. Further, the idea that both George AND Madeline would know of Rosa's presence in the Karth House is seriously far-fetched.

Second, am I the only one who finds it downright stupid that Madeline would go through all this effort JUST TO POSSESS ROSA? That is, of all the people out there, she'd possess the ONLY ONE who could stop her because of her spirit guide's shenanigans? Why not possess Michael instead? And, in fact, why the need to involve Rosa into the whole thing AT ALL when she could just awaken both Heather and Peter with Michael's help, both willing or unwilling as it would seem?

And since she's still bound to Michael's corpse even despite invading Rosa, what's the guarantee that Madeline won't just get booted again and transferred into someone else after the 2-3 days?

All this shit is very mighty convenient and half-arsed, and rather pathetically thought through for a spirit that supposedly had, what, 70 years to plan this? But i guess that's just, like, my opinion, man.

But back to the story,

epiph3670.jpg

Madeline doesn't know (actually, she does, vide Deception) that Joey has a secret hyperweapon :smug:

You know, Red and I have a bond. We gotta stick together. Where she goes, I go. You might be wearin' Red's body, but you ain't her. There's a line in the snow, and you can't cross it. But Rosa Blackwell? She can cross it just fine.

rosa1.jpg
You're... you're hurting me!

joey1.jpg
Good.

epiph3681.jpg

Rosa's body drops to the ground, leaving Madeline behind over the mystical line.

mad4.jpg
You IDIOT! Do you have ANY IDEA what you just did?

SO MAD, MADDY

joey6.jpg
I just evicted you, sister.

mad4.jpg
No. I will not be trapped in that limbo again!

200px-Eliphas.jpg
I WILL NOT GO TO THE BASILICA OF TORMENTS AGAIN

joey6.jpg
Tough. You made your mess, now clean it up.

mad1.jpg
Very well. Just remember, you brought this on yourself.

Huh?

epiph3691.jpg

Madeline blinks away.

rosa1.jpg
Urg.

joey1.jpg
Red? Red! Talk to me!

rosa1.jpg
Joey? I...

epiph3695.jpg

joey1.jpg
You okay?

rosa1.jpg
I... ugh.

joey1.jpg
Careful.

rosa1.jpg
I feel...

epiph3700.jpg

oh ffs

epiph3701.jpg

cop1.jpg
Dispatch reported a woman ranting to herself in front of the church, I had a feeling it was you. Care to explain the dead body around the corner?

rosa4.jpg
Cory...

cop2.jpg
That's OFFICER PALMER! Now, explain!

He draws his gun.

rosa1.jpg
No...

epiph3708.jpg

epiph3709.jpg

@_@

epiph3711.jpg

epiph3712.jpg

epiph3713.jpg

lulz, Rosa just headbutted Palmer.

joey4.jpg
What are you DOING?

rosa4.jpg
Was it like this for them?

joey4.jpg
For who? Red?

rosa4.jpg
I think... I think it's happening.

joey1.jpg
Huh?

epiph3721.jpg

rosa4.jpg
Auntie, my grandmother, it's HAPPENING. It's like... it's like it's... ITZ COMING!

epiph3725.jpg

She starts banging her head against the ground.

joey1.jpg
Come on, you're gonna hurt yourself!

joey4.jpg
Jesus, cut it out!

Not again, not you, not now.

joey4.jpg
Help, somebody! ANYBODY!

The curtain falls.
