Finished ME3. Wow, just wow. Good luck with this RK47.

Re. Lore stuff: This is a setting with force powers, AIs that want to date someone that can take over synthetic bodies, a species that can 'absorb memories' and shit by touch, and another that can mind meld with you. Having a go because the space combat doesn't make sense seems a bit like imprisoning al capone over his tax returns.

Agreed. Tali is the only party member in that game without a plot or a sad story. She's just, "hi, I'm a quarian, let me tell you about quarians!" and you know what, that's fine! Heck, that's more than fine. Beats the hell out listening to Ashley recite fucking Tennyson or scolding Garrus for being renegade/not being renegade enough. Wrex was almost like Tali, but then there's the genophage, oh boohoo the genophage, Shepard. Wrex.

Of course, in ME2 they halfway turned Tali into ME1's Liara, you know, the unexperienced virgin character who has no idea how to speak to the opposite sex, and I threw up a little in my mouth when I listened to Liz Szroka and Mark Meer exchange those horribly written lines. Matter of fact, if there's an excuse for being a shitty actor, it's probably BioWare's writing department. Like, some days, when I'm feeling great, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and I'm not wearing an adult diaper, I think of Mark Meer, and I touch myself think "maybe he just CAN'T deliver the lines well!" I know I'd find it difficult to give my all after reading a script of the most corny fucking bullshit ever put on paper.

    Whatever.

At least Tali and Garrus hooked up. I don't even care why they hooked up. That's like asking why Shepard is suddenly BFF with Garrus in ME2. It doesn't make sense given the events of ME1 but it's great so you don't question it.

You could put some spoiler tags in that though bro, RK47 is ignorant of the ending.

I have such gigantic problems with the fandom calling it hard sci-fi right now.

I'm fine with the videos becoming more frequent, but it'd be nice if they included a few written comments.

That last one did have a few comments (in video)

Anyhow, now having watched it, gosh there's some retarded design with the geth. If they're a networked intelligence and robots, why the heck do they need all those panels with human readable buttons? Bloody Star Wars showed a better understanding of robot/ship interfaces (r2d2) almost 40 years ago!

Why have ladders, and walkways, and even geth patrols? be cheaper and easier to have everything linked together and possibly just activate the moving units as required. Robots wouldn't need corridors, but I guess they couldn't make a corridor shooter without them.

True, but something like 1-2 comments per minute is closer to what I had in mind ! :)

Sorry I kinda rushed it. It was a 5 hour upload from this shitty ISP. By the time it finished, I had to leave for work.

    Commentary:
    1. Bioware kinda excused the 'why such a humanlike design' with Tali saying 'this ship is made for non-synthetics.' But what I wondered is which race is the geth building it for if not for themselves?
    2. Combat in this corridor is a nightmare. The team AI isn't capable of spotting and reacting to cloaked hunters. You can see the hunters incapacitating my squad easily. And the Arc Pistol does not help, forcing me to deploy grenades when in a pinch. Especially with the rocket geths.
    3. I'm still angry about Squadmates Grenades not replenishing over mission. The same crap happens in ME1 and they still revert to the same mistakes in the third. Unacceptable. It's almost as if the Normandy does not even carry a stockpile of ammo and medigels to top up Shepard's team before going on missions.
    4. Stop playing shitty Japanese games? It's made by an italian dev. But yes, I'd be lying if I say this video LP isn't caused by Planet Stronghold holding up my interests more. I like the game, I can understand why the art turns people off. But there is good gameplay underneath it. So much I wondered why Mass Effect can't do the same.
    5. The overflow of flirty exchange is enough to take the tension out of this segment. Enough that I realize a text by text transcript isn't going to be enough to convey the ridiculousness. My first run with Tali - Jamal was punctuated with space jamaican remarking 'wtf r u toking about' when the exchange begin. Finally EDI clarified by saying 'they are in a relationship.' Of course that lead to Jamal saying 'Inter-racial mating. How pointless.'

Also, last night I decided to give the MP another spin. The Resurgence Pack Free DLC.
You'd think a FREE DLC is an auto-install. This isn't the case, I had to head towards the Origin store, and 'purchase' a FREE DLC.

Two maps were added and six classes as well.
Batarian Soldier & Sentinel. Both are terrible.
Geth Infiltrator and Engineer. They're average. But the Hunter Mode is a wallhack and rapes your eyes. Not commended.
That leaves the Asari Justicar and Krogan Vanguard as the only viable new classes. But that doesn't really matter cause I don't like playing a big slow target and Asari Justicar is not really a super-special class.

Out of three guns, I've unlocked the best: The Geth Plasma SMG. With Extended Clip and Barrel Extension it has 180 ammo per clip. And it took more then 3 seconds to kill anything. Wonderful. I can feel the love already. :(

Also, I've unlocked the Arc Pistol Mark X upgrade. My life long goal is complete. I will shove this up Tali's purple anus. :salute:

Actually, she claimed it was a variant on a Quarian design modified for synthetics, not a Geth design modified for organics.

I notice Rockets no longer instantly kill infantry, unlike in ME1.

Ahh sorry, yeah. My memory failed me.
As for Rockets not insta-killing is due to the shield property in me3.
Shields no longer allow hits to bleed through.
Suppose you have 10 out of 100 max shield.
And gets hit by 200 dmg rocket.
The shield would break, but would not let the damage go through and affect the health.
Hence Salarian Infiltrators with their Energy Drain unique power makes a very strong class online.
So is Shepard when he gains Tali bonus power - Energy Drain.
