Not that you give a fuck, but I do approve of this LP. I actually had more enjoyment reading about this game than most of the shit I have played in the last 5 years. Waiting impatiently for the next episode to commence.

Welcome back, my loyal subjects!

In the last Update XXL (TM) we faced two years of the dreaded snow wasteland of Vesh. Now, we shall survive through year 4.

Strike the lights, welcome to the show!

UO1805.jpg

The wall needs repairing

UO1806.jpg

And repair he did.

UO1807.jpg

Hordlings need thwacking.

UO1808.jpg

It's quiet... too quiet...

UO1809.jpg

UO1810.jpg

A-HA!

UO1811.jpg

UO1812.jpg

UO1813.jpg

UO1814.jpg

UO1815.jpg

Herr Oberleutnant! Ve are receiving a telegram from ze Reich. Zhey are being attacked und ask for assistance.

Well, then, full speed ahead, Herman.

UO1816.jpg

AUSGEBOMBT!!!

UO1817.jpg

UO1818.jpg

UO1819.jpg

A peculiar bug occurred here - I kept whacking at the hordling but it wouldn't die.

UO1820.jpg

Had to run around it to find a place where he'd finally get hit.

UO1821.jpg

Oops.

UO1822.jpg

Right, summer, which means we can dig through water. Let's extend this moat just for the fuck of it.

UO1823.jpg

When it freezes, the cows will be prisoners of ice, but at least we'll have easier time to navigate around them.

UO1824.jpg

IIIIIIINCOMIIIIIING.

UO1825.jpg

When I activated the map, I heard the roars of tanks. Awesome.

UO1826.jpg

UO1827.jpg

One idiot got drowned in the south. More came through the north.

UO1828.jpg

Something fiery this way comes, which means a shaman. Great...

UO1829.jpg

But first we needed to save the cow.

UO1830.jpg

FAGGOT

UO1831.jpg

I wonder where did he go.

UO1832.jpg

Enemy reinforcements have arrived from the north, and others have breached our southern defenses.

UO1833.jpg

cocks.

UO1834.jpg

Taking heavy fire.

UO1835.jpg

Btw heavy fire.

UO1836.jpg

BURRRRRRRRRRRN.

UO1837.jpg

UO1838.jpg

BUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRN!!!!!! (hah, managed to blast the previous tank without frying the villager)

UO1839.jpg

Closing on target.

UO1840.jpg

Engaging...

UO1841.jpg

*fwoosh* Also, no sign of the shaman. He must have beamed in rather unfortunately somewhere next to a knight.

UO1842.jpg

Ouch. Some of the worst results for a long time.

UO1843.jpg

Nothing interesting took place in this season apparently, so brace yourself for more EXTREME action.

UO1844.jpg

UO1845.jpg

BOOOOOGIEEEEE!

UO1846.jpg

Snow hordlings. AWESOME. Except that it's not awesome. I hate how they instantly tear down walls, like tanks.

UO1847.jpg

UO1848.jpg

UO1849.jpg

One of the knights lost both his cows. INCOMPETENT FOOL.

UO1850.jpg

UO1851.jpg

Not only did he lose both cows, but also almost managed to get himself digested. Idiot.

UO1852.jpg

UO1853.jpg

UO1854.jpg

A season full of snow hordlings.

UO1855.jpg

I hate snow hordlings.

UO1856.jpg

I think I should be making more screens of the strategy part, maybe at least one with an overview of the town, but honestly, it's so routine now I keep forgetting about it. Go to minimap, repair wall, buy cows, chop trees, plant trees, call horde.

UO1857.jpg

UO1858.jpg

Let's go south.

UO1859.jpg

*queue ominous music* MEANWHILE...

While Chauncey was heading southward to stop the hordlings from tearing down the wall, another wave of the vile creatures assaulted the unguarded north!

UO1860.jpg

I HATE SNOW HORDLINGS

UO1861.jpg

HATE

UO1862.jpg

HATE!!!!!!!

UO1863.jpg

Now that's a big-ass snowball. At least he launched it at a building, and while they are forming them they're stationary for a second or two.

UO1864.jpg

Which may prove fatal for them.

UO1865.jpg

There's some serious ravaging going on around here.

UO1866.jpg

UO1867.jpg

And the last one got bashed somewhere by a knight. Which is gud.

UO1868.jpg

Meh.

UO1869.jpg

UO1870.jpg

 !!!!!

Stay tuned for more thwacking later. We're quickly approaching the end of the game.

How about putting those knights outside the walls so they'll protect them from the snow hordlings? It seems to me that if the snow hords get in the wall they easily kill some cows no matter what.

Not worth it, I think. Walls are relatively cheap to repair and the way the knights are currently stationed makes them cover (more or less...) the whole southern part through which the hordlings enter. Plus, the snow hordlings happen to be not stupid, unfortunately, and they'd just run through the knights as I witnessed them do before.

Do you know what time it is?
It's time for

YEAR 5

UO1871.jpg

Our thriving town with evil crops planted in the north.

UO1872.jpg

Sir, the people demand thwacking o_@

I say, we shall give them thwacking, then.

UO1873.jpg

UO1874.jpg

UO1875.jpg

UO1876.jpg

UO1877.jpg

UO1878.jpg

NOOOOO, HE ATE SANTA :(

UO1879.jpg

UO1880.jpg

UO1881.jpg

UO1882.jpg

Smashing o_@

UO1883.jpg

Summer. No need to dig after water this time around, though

UO1884.jpg

However, the houses on the reaches are all surrounded by snow and can't grow crops. Something needs to be done about it.

UO1885.jpg

BOOM!

UO1886.jpg

Hmmm. Lotsa.

UO1887.jpg

UO1888.jpg

I love to watch the idiots drown.

UO1889.jpg

UO1890.jpg

UO1891.jpg

Shit. Slow enemy reinforcements inbound. I think we all know what that means.

(soundtrack to this epic episode: Iced Earth - Declaration Day)

UO1892.jpg

A desperate situation

UO1893.jpg

Forced to retaliation

UO1894.jpg

We'll charge into the fire

UO1895.jpg

The cause we must inspire

UO1896.jpg

SOOOOOOO WE MAKE OUR STAND AND PRAY

UO1897.jpg

ON THIS DECLARATION DAY

UO1898.jpg

FOR INDEPENDENCE I WILL FIGHT!

UO1899.jpg

FOR LIBERTY I WILL DEFY!

UO1900.jpg

SOOOOOO WE MAKE OUR STAND AND PRAY

UO1901.jpg

ON THIS DECLARATION DAY

UO1902.jpg

GIVE ME LIBERTY

UO1903.jpg

OR GIVE ME DEATH

UO1904.jpg

I'LL FIGHT TILL

UO1905.jpg

MY. LAST. BREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATH

UO1906.jpg

*stars and stripes waving in the wind*

UO1907.jpg

Generic overview of the town. Funny thing is, I didn't notice the hole in the wall until winter's invasion.

UO1908.jpg

Only 10. Which probably means all of them are snow hordlings.

UO1909.jpg

UO1910.jpg

Well, no, not all

UO1911.jpg

UO1912.jpg

But they sure are here anyway

UO1913.jpg

Whoa, serious mayhem up ahead.

UO1914.jpg

COME BACK HERE, DAMMIT.

queue epic chase scenes

UO1915.jpg

UO1916.jpg

UO1917.jpg

UO1918.jpg

UO1919.jpg

UO1920.jpg

Right, the last one.

UO1921.jpg

How dare you throw snowballs at me, faggot?!

UO1922.jpg

Again :x
Their damage is pathetic though (5).

UO1923.jpg

UO1924.jpg

Eh, oops?

UO1925.jpg

Time to clear away some of that snow.

UO1926.jpg

UO1927.jpg

And fight again.

UO1928.jpg

'Oh lawd, there's a hole in the wall. I wonder when did it appear?'

UO1929.jpg

UO1930.jpg

It would seem the majority of the attack comes from the south, so let us move there.

UO1931.jpg

Whoa

UO1932.jpg

UO1933.jpg

UO1934.jpg

crap.

UO1935.jpg

UO1936.jpg

MAN DOWN!

*HL: Opposing Force engineer* This whole operation is out of control!

UO1937.jpg

There goes our knight *shrug*

UO1938.jpg

UO1939.jpg

There's one more shithead rampaging in the north. Let's assume the incompetent knights will be able to fend off this incoming tank, and go get the lone one in the village.

UO1940.jpg

The tank is down. Good riddance.

UO1941.jpg

Did I mention how much I hate snow hordlings?

UO1942.jpg

harr harr

UO1944.jpg

So-so, when compared to the previous seasons.

UO1945.jpg

UO1946.jpg

Oh thanks, chanc... OH, YOU JEW! :x

Right, year 5 is behind us. Stay tuned, because we're two updates from finishing (if nothing goes ronk, of course).

Ice Wastes of Vesh

YEAR 6

UO1947.jpg

The cow pen is in drastic need of repairs.

UO1948.jpg

That's better

UO1949.jpg

Time to fumigate.

UO1950.jpg

Let's go south and whack the incoming enemy troops (probably the moment I go there, more will come from the north and eat my villagers).

UO1951.jpg

UO1952.jpg

UO1953.jpg

UO1954.jpg

UO1955.jpg

Well, what do you know, I was right! Goddamn Hordling tacticians

UO1956.jpg

UO1957.jpg

UO1958.jpg

Now for the leftovers.

UO1959.jpg

UO1960.jpg

UO1961.jpg

UO1962.jpg

Jolly good

UO1963.jpg

Wooo, summer. Not like it matters, though.

UO1964.jpg

UO1965.jpg

Shaman is in da house.

UO1966.jpg

UO1967.jpg

I hate his teleportation. I really do.

UO1968.jpg

UO1969.jpg

UO1970.jpg

Alright, he's down. Now to get the other enemy forces.

UO1971.jpg

UO1972.jpg

UO1973.jpg

UO1974.jpg

UO1975.jpg

SHIT! It's like the Tree Realm all over again.

UO1976.jpg

Time to activate the wunderwaffe.

UO1977.jpg

Or wait, no, let's give the mace a 'spin'.

UO1978.jpg

HOLY BUTTFUCK

UO1979.jpg

ULTRA KILL.

UO1980.jpg

Ok, uh... you can stop spinning now.

UO1981.jpg

5-second-long daze. But damn, it was worth it.

UO1982.jpg

One sucker left.

UO1983.jpg

UO1984.jpg

We can take this one out with the regular armaments.

UO1985.jpg

UO1986.jpg

Burrrrrrrrrn.

Although I must say, that while the items are all a huge convenience, they make the game too easy. I mean, compare this tank situation, to the one from the Tree Realm. Then I had to repeat the level 4 (?) times to survive a comparable wave of tanks, while nowadays, I just take out a flamethrower or an instagib mace :DeclineofHorde:

UO1987.jpg

Lots of crops lost. Who cares?

UO1988.jpg

UO1989.jpg

UO1990.jpg

UO1991.jpg

UO1992.jpg

UO1993.jpg

UO1995.jpg

UO1996.jpg

UO1997.jpg

UO1998.jpg

UO1999.jpg

UO2000.jpg

(screenshot #2000 *fanfare of trumpets*)

UO2001.jpg

UO2002.jpg

UO2003.jpg

If I recall correctly (which is possible that I don't), the hordling adoption programme means that there will be more hordlings incoming in the future.

UO2004.jpg

UO2005.jpg

Incoming from the north.

UO2006.jpg

Let's make short work of the bastards

UO2007.jpg

UO2008.jpg

How jolly. Snow hordlings. :x

UO2009.jpg

UO2010.jpg

UO2011.jpg

Taste cold half-demon steel, faggot :x

UO2012.jpg

The knights should really develop better anti-snow hordling defence tactics.

UO2013.jpg

This snow needs removing.

UO2014.jpg

And voilla.

UO2015.jpg

UO2016.jpg

I wonder if these are snow hordlings coming from the south.

UO2017.jpg

UO2018.jpg

Why, yes, they are. ARRGH

UO2019.jpg

UO2020.jpg

UO2021.jpg

The knights probably won't make it too well in the cow pen, but let's stop the lone hordling from ravaging the town.

UO2022.jpg

UO2023.jpg

UO2024.jpg

UO2025.jpg

UO2026.jpg

Woooo, tanks. Awesome. At least they're not snow hordlings. Filthy creatures, I avoid them whenever I can.

UO2027.jpg

UO2028.jpg

UO2029.jpg

Pesky taxes.

UO2030.jpg

Yup, this seems like a valid reason.

Stay tuned, for we are about to face the last year of the Ice Wastes, and of Horde itself!

I have no doubts, that the next update will be gritty, epic, dark and mature.

Also, is it just me, or did interest in this thread largely diminish as of late?

Darth the thread is awesome. I read it on a regular basis. So no bloody way does the interest diminish! Keep it up. We want to see the end of the Horde

You could use this to test for 1st time items like that Trident of something, the Nuking-dragon and other stuff we saw but you didn't bothered to buy...

This. The way I see it, for the last few upadates your finances are more or less stable and it basically boils down to thwacking snow hordlings in the cow pen now.

That said, I enjoyed this LP immensely. Made me replay Horde, last time (few years ago when I was still a brat) I couldn't get past the forest, now I am quickly gaining on you.

Keep this up, we want the ending credits.

It's just that you can only say 'good job' for so long before you start repeating yourself. Anyway, good job.

Nah man we're still reading.

I just don't have much to comment, other than that I really love the chancellor. He's deliciously evil.

Greetings Codexers. As you are aware, today we shall witness the last year of the Ice Wastes of Vesh, and see what happens in the world of Horde!

YEAR 7

UO2033.jpg

UO2034.jpg

UO2035.jpg

UO2036.jpg

First thing we do, is empty the Shoppe.

UO2037.jpg

Cow pen needs repairing, as always

UO2038.jpg

UO2039.jpg

Well then, let's get to work.

UO2040.jpg

We shall use this little hordling invasion as proving grounds, just as you wanted, gentle readers.

UO2041.jpg

First thing, teleport into the middle of a group of hordlings.

UO2042.jpg

Second thing

UO2043.jpg

Activate the Dragon!

UO2044.jpg

WHOA

UO2045.jpg

Scorch

UO2046.jpg

and mayhem

UO2047.jpg

at its finest

UO2048.jpg

UO2049.jpg

There goes a cow, a knight and some buildings.

Hilarious shit.

UO2050.jpg

Right, the dragon expired, let's thwack the leftovers.

UO2051.jpg

UO2052.jpg

UO2053.jpg

UO2054.jpg

Well, as awesome as it is to have a death ray from above, Roscoe is exactly as I remember him: it does more havoc to your village more than to the hordlings.

UO2055.jpg

UO2056.jpg

Well then, gentlemen.

UO2057.jpg

Let's see how the trident works.

UO2058.jpg

NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED

UO2059.jpg

*boom*

Fun. It sends down meteors on hordlings' heads.

UO2060.jpg

UO2061.jpg

Hoho, more test subjects incoming (they're tanks, too).

(soundtrack to this episode: Astral Doors - Black Rain)

UO2062.jpg

Fly away Enola Gay

UO2063.jpg

Carrying the bomb of judgement day.

UO2064.jpg

Land of the Rising Sun. Everyone waiting for the rain.

UO2065.jpg

ATOMIC CLOUDS, BLACK RAIN!

UO2066.jpg

BLACK RAIN!

UO2067.jpg

HIROSHIMA

UO2068.jpg

DROWNING IN BLACK RAIN!

UO2069.jpg

Alright, now that we stopped dropping nukes on the hordlings, let's give the flute we found in the swamp a try.

UO2070.jpg

UO2071.jpg

Yup, everything keeps following you. They even get a speed boost.

UO2072.jpg

Well then,

UO2073.jpg

DO A BARREL ROLL!

UO2074.jpg

UO2075.jpg

UO2076.jpg

UO2077.jpg

UO2078.jpg

UO2079.jpg

UO2080.jpg

UO2081.jpg

UO2082.jpg

UO2083.jpg

How convenient to rob us of our potential base defences in the very last year, eh?

Well, fortunately it takes away only the archers, which we don't use. If it removed archers AND knights, we might have had a problem.

Damn horde crops are growin' on my turf :x

UO2084.jpg

More test subjects. Hurrhurrhurr

UO2085.jpg

UO2086.jpg

Well, right. Let's do some regular thwacking for a change.

UO2087.jpg

UO2088.jpg

UO2089.jpg

Oh jolly. Snow hordlings in bound.

UO2090.jpg

UO2091.jpg

More epic chase scenes

UO2092.jpg

UO2093.jpg

UO2094.jpg

UO2095.jpg

UO2096.jpg

UO2097.jpg

UO2098.jpg

UO2099.jpg

Holy shit, 7 villagers. When was the last time we had a genocide of these proportions?

UO2100.jpg

Alright, winter.

UO2101.jpg

Time to employ more base defences.

UO2103.jpg

None shall pass o_@

Almost every building has a personal knight guarding it. Just in case.

UO2104.jpg

UO2105.jpg

UO2106.jpg

Let's teleport into the cow pen, 'cause I have a silly feeling these might be snow hordlings.

UO2107.jpg

Why, yes, they were snow hordlings.

UO2108.jpg

zzzziiiiiiing

UO2109.jpg

Hrm.

UO2110.jpg

hohoho

UO2111.jpg

UO2112.jpg

ATOMIC CLOUDS, BLACK RAIN!

Well, it also blasted the knight and two cows, but hell. Collateral damage is perfectly acceptable :Americafuckyeah:

UO2113.jpg

Teleported back to the base.

UO2114.jpg

And since it's the only item we didn't use yet, let's get some healing.

UO2115.jpg

Wow. A grand total of 20 hp healed for 50 gold. Totally not worth it.

UO2116.jpg

UO2117.jpg

We are victorious!

UO2118.jpg

UO2119.jpg

Chancellor Ragealot

UO2120.jpg

UO2121.jpg

UO2122.jpg

UO2123.jpg

UO2124.jpg

UO2125.jpg

:D

UO2156.jpg

UO2157.jpg

UO2158.jpg

UO2159.jpg

UO2160.jpg

UO2161.jpg

Dammit Chancellor, what happened to you? You used to be so cool.

UO2162.jpg

UO2163.jpg

UO2164.jpg

UO2165.jpg

UO2166.jpg

UO2167.jpg

UO2168.jpg

UO2169.jpg

UO2170.jpg

UO2171.jpg

What the hell? Did he just make him asplode with a fried chicken?
Or whatever that was he took... it wasn't quite clear, even with sounds.

UO2172.jpg

UO2173.jpg

UO2174.jpg

UO2175.jpg

UO2176.jpg

UO2177.jpg

UO2182.jpg

UO2183.jpg

UO2184.jpg

UO2185.jpg

UO2186.jpg

UO2187.jpg

Well then. So, we made it to the grand finale. Thus ends the Horde LP, and I hope you enjoyed following it as much as I enjoyed playing the game!

I'm still disappointed that the Tree Realm was the most difficult part, though :<

Thanks for the LP, 't was quite amusing.

Also, I approve of your taste in music. Astral Doors is, as far as I know, quite an unknown band.
