: Patrinho has come on for a tired ScottishMartialArts. I'm not sure how good he'll be on his own, so I've told Fumbles and Lefty to warm up. Patrinho shows what we've been missing with his first touch of the ball - jinking past Mexes on the halfway line and then drawing Bodmer out of position and crossing low across the penalty area. If Sovard had only ran into that space... It would have been a simple tap in and we would be 2-1 up with 3 minutes of injury time.

: 2nd half was very tame compared to the first one. France were collectively a lot stronger and Cheyrou has been putting out a lot of good passes to trouble out defense. Andyman Messiah is tired so I'll likely take him off after a couple of minutes if things stay the same. We can't afford to be defensive, so Fumbles will likely get the nod and we'll switch to a 4-3-3.

: The Barbarian throws himself in the way to block a powerful shot from Gourcuff that looked to be rifling into the top corner of the net. Apart from that, nothing has really happened. Lots of players are starting to feel the heat and are making mistakes.

Seriously, Football Manager is a killer. The final we full of nail-biting moments, more so than the actual games themselves! Including the England games. Except for the last 10 minutes of the first half when the ref robbed us and the first 10 minutes of the second half when we threw it away. Never forget; never forgive.

speaking of leagues, what do you guys reckon would be the best league for a LP? premier, serie a or something else (no liga 'cause it's always real+barca 15points ahead of the rest... banalshitboring)

that was indeed retarded (gods be damned, if i win the CL 3 times in a row with wolves, i'm not a goddamn small club anymore!!! ), but iirc they fixed it in FM11 (or a patch for it) although i haven't played it long enough to confirm/deny.

started as unemplyoed, got Stockport
1st season wasn't bad, managed to get to playoffs with free transfer players and won them
will be hard to get to championship but doable (playoffs again ofcourse)
half season and 5 pts off playoff spot but hit a no-win streak as my strikers are shit
are there any good in lower leagues? have to rely on some speedy fellow and counters, otherwise only goals I get is corners and it's rather hard to win games with them but there's nothing like 1.9m defenders

The year is 2011. And another season of football has finished. The Bro has risen from his bunker to the sight of the players working hard on the training pitch, having all returned from their clubs.




DarkUnderlord (Model Professiona/Codexia Captain)

- After a poor first season in Serie A... his 2nd season hasn't been much better. Is very fond of ScottishMartialArts. Won Goalkeeper of the Year 10/11 and was voted as 2nd best Goalkeeper in the World Cup.

: After being brought into the 1st team for the start of the World Cup, DarkUnderlord performed with confidence and comfort underneath all the pressure. Though there was no one game where he had to pull off a string of excellent saves, he kept his nerve and scored in both our penalty shoot-outs.

Cleveland Blakemore (Temperamental/Goalkeeper)

- Has a long standing fued with manager Delio Rossi but he refused to leave - signing a new contract until 2013. Not even 2nd choice goalkeeper. Asked to teach Gaston Gomez, but the teenage Uruguayian refuses - stating "Cleve can teach me nothing". Has not played a game this season.

: Cleve had his chance, but did not impress in any of his 5 starts in goal, but I don't remember feeling the need to howl and swear at the bastard for letting the ball slip between his fingers. Mediocre, but reliably so.

Fag (Born Leader/Experienced goalkeeper)

- Moved to A.C. Milan from Real Madrid for £525k in search of first team football: despite A.C. Milan being the home of DarkUnderlord. Played one game, A.C. Milan at home to Napoli: they lost 3 - 0.

: Not good enough. Too small, too slow, and I point the finger at him for some of the goals which we conceded early in our campaign.

Cultist Chan (Jovial/Defender)

- Quiet time at Man Utd. Happy in the reserves, though has picked up a handful of appearences this season. Played in Champions League final against Liverpool and was impressive before being substituted on the 84th minute.

: I did not think that Cultist Chan was good enough at centre-back, nor good enough on the ball to make a skilled attacking full-back. Our lack of defenders pushed Cultist Chan into a key role within our squad - one which was done well. Despite my initial misgivings - a true bro.

The Barbarian (Leader/Strong centre-back)

-Solid at centre-back for Bordeaux, helping them finish 2nd in the league. Was on the bench for the French cup final as Bordeaux went down 2-0 to Nice. Was recognised for his skills by being in the World Cup Dream Team.

: I cannot sing enough praises for The Barbarian. A rock at the heart of our defense - he was rarely found lacking against the best strikers in the world and kept his nerve to score us some vital penalties.

Sovard (Very loyal/Cultured centre-back)

- Last season played 1 game for Barcelona then 14 on loan at Bayer Leverkusen. Started to break into the 1st team, but a torn calf muscle ruled him out for the last half of the season.

: A funny one is Sovard. One hand, he was amazing in our group game vs U.S.A, and on the other he never came close to replicating that form in another match. If he'd have gotten a string of appearances in the national side: maybe it would have been different. His lack of height compromised his position in my eyes, and I never build a team around a central midfielder. Bottled it in our penalty shoot-out against South Africa, which could have been very dear. I'll admit, I had the lynching rope ready.

Blondie (Born leader/Defender)

-1st team at Bayern Munich. Played well first season and then excellent 2nd season. 3rd in German Footballer of the Year 10/11

: Blondie? Get the fuck out of here. He's complete shite!

Caid (Ambitious/Attacking full-back)

-Has not had much chance in Codexia squad. Playing brilliant for Porto in both seasons. Out for 5 months after breaking a leg

: Caid? I don't think he has the the bottle to play consistantly in our first team. As a right-back Serii is preferred, and Caid did not play well whenever I gave him a chance.

Gonchi (Resilient/Defender)

-Playing well fo Bayern Munich first team but his season was cut short by a broken leg. Injury prone.

: After a frustrating time with injuries that kept him out of the Codexia national side for most of the qualifiers, Gonchi broke into the team at just the right time and grabbed the left-back role by the bollocks. Even when I was force to play him in the centre, I was confident in his ability.

Serii (Fairly Professinal/Full-back)

-Played well for Liverpool both seasons but still can't beat Johnson in selection. Fond of ScottishMartialArts. On the bench for Champions League final and English cup final defeats.

: Serii has settled well into our squad, and has played well in many games. Unlike Gonchi, he has not stood out, and has some way to go if he wants to break into the limelight.

Andman Messiah (Iron Willed/Stong full-back)

- Only 13 appearences for R. Madrid 2nd season, but played to a high standard. Brought on late on in the Spanish cup victory over Osasuna.

: For a big, lumbering wing-back: Andyman Messiah is a fucking quality player. Though he struggled to contain Cristiano Ronaldo in the quarter-final, he has played brilliant in every other game, though his tendency to run out of breath midway through the second half prevented him from being a star player for us.

Little Dagon (Very Ambitious/Midfielder)

- Not played well for Fiorentina. Doesn't like the club and wants more first team football. On the bench when Fiorentina beat Inter 3-2 in the Italian cup final.

: I had high expectations of Little Dagon... and he hasn't fulfilled them. Sadly, he is too injury prone, and has been completely outshone by the Village Loon.

Village Loon (Iron Willed/Cultured defensive Midfielder)

- Had a good season before a Hip Injury (2 months) ruined his form. Still hasn't broken back into the first team. 1st season was poor.

: The Village Loon has proved himself a class act in all his games so far. A good, quality defensive midfielder. Though I thought Little Dagon would have been a better choice - Village Loon proved that he was the top dog. He shall be remembered for that 2-footed, vicious challenge in the final.

Todd Howard

- Manager. Likes Blondie a lot. Played 4 games for Bayern Munich and took a season's worth of wages. Has not recieved a job so far.

: Todd Howard... What to say? He never really got into our team, didn't get into the game at club level - and has now retired.

Volourn (Fairly Loyal/Wonderkid)

-Tearing it up for the Real Madrid U. 19s

: Ran into the problem of being too young to play in any of our qualifiers, or any of the World Cup games, which made me rage. One to watch from the future - cutting in from the right side of midfield and curling the ball into the top corner from 25 yards.

Zdzisiu (Fairly Determind/Winger)

-Excellent season at Lyon. Only player to require time off training because of the flu.

: Zdzisiu has not been one of our best players, but he has done a good job in my opinion. Though no goals in 13 games is not a great return for an attack-minded wide midfielder. Shall be remembered for his glorious diving skills against South Africa, getting Mokoena sent off.

Golge Papaz (Professional/Wonderkid)

- Breaking into Real Madrid's first team - but feels he should be a first team regular. Scored 6 goals in 12 starts for the 1st team. Played in Spanish cup final and scored: 3-1

: Though his constant whining that he should be the centre-piece of our team and played just behind the front two has been irritating, Golge Papaz has done well - very well. Though I was disappointed with his finishing in the final against France, I was impressed with every other aspect of his game and he's one of the first names on the team sheet.

AndhairaX (Determined/Wonderkid)

- Finally getting a proper wage. Playing in the first team on the left of midfield. Won English Players' Young Player of the Year 10/11. Played in UEFA Cup final and played well.

: Has no impressed me. Not the slightest. He has had few starts - but showed nothing which would make me want to field him ahead of our other strikers.

Fumbles (Fairly Determined/Clinical striker)

- Breaking more into Sevilla first team this season.

: Clinical striker!? What the fuck? Fumbles has the glory of being the player at who I've raged most. At some times - he is brilliant. Others - shit. Sort of compensated for his missed by slotting away that penalty against France.

Skyway (Determined/Midfielder)

- Successor to Paul Scholes. Playing brilliant for Man. Utd and scored in the Champions League final. Runner up for English Footballer of the Year 10/11. In 10/11 team of the year.

: His motivation, rage, and bite have all been inspirational in the centre of the park. Never gives up fighting.

ScottishMartialArts (Driven/Forward)

- Plays up alongside Drogba. Not playing great for Chelsea - poor scoring record, but a lot of assists.

: I thought that ScottishMartialArts would be vital in our quest for World Cup glory. As it was - that injury in the group stages crippled her, and she did not play well after coming back from it. Still, the goals in the qualifiers were key.

Lefty (Professional/Striker)

-Not sure if he should leave the club. Played in 18 games compared to 2 last season, and played well. Keeps telling the manager that he'll be forced to leave if he doesn't get first-team football, but so far hasn't had the balls to leave. Played in Spanish cup final and scored: 3-1

: Lefty was just outclassed by our other strikers. He was not given much of a chance - but did not force me to include him in the squad when I gave him one.

Patrinho (Determined/Explosive striker)

-Afer Valencia rejected a bid by A.C. Milan, Patrinho signed a 3 year deal. Completely in his managers pocket and has only started 15 club games this season, scoring 15 goals. Was runner up for the Golden Boot and in the World Cup Dream Team.

: Patrinho Without his goals, we would not have gotten this far. His delightful lob that equalised against South Africa was the pick of goals for him. My only complaint is that at times he disappears from the pitch.
