And if the Password Recovery doesn't work (there was an error transitioning accounts during the upgrade), use the "contact us" link right down the bottom right of the forums and harass us about it. Include your account name and its e-mail address (or whatever parts of it you remember).

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

Let's play Fallout Tactics (Completed)

It seems that my current Evolva LP didn't achieve the level of attention that would satisfy a self-respecting attention whore. :(

That leaves me no choice but to create another LP-thread, hopefully moar succesful this time.

As you probably noticed, we have some LPs of tactical games ongoing ATM: GarfunkeL's / Orgasm's TFTD, Overweight Manatee's JA2, Lestat's / WhiskeyWolf's Rance, etc.

But there's still one game that haven't received enough Codex love IMO.
Accused of lore-rape back in the day, it was hated with passion, sentenced to death and (almost) forgotten.

    Gentlemen, let me present you...:

Refresh your character-generating skills, gentlemen. The recruitment center opens up soon...

You'd better reserve me a place in your squad. I was pretty awesome in your last tactical LP KoL.

semi-ironman? apart from the second part of the last mission, FOT isn't exactly difficult.

    Intro Movie
    Intro Monologue

    Let's create our hero:

Traits: Gifted is obvious choice, Small Frame is good for a sniper.
Stats: should allow me to pick up following perks: Leader, Bonus Ranged Damage, Moar Criticals, Sharpshooter, Action Boy, Bonus Rate of Fire
Tagged Skills: SG+EW are obvious, Doctor for reasons explained below.

    An outcome:

    Boot Camp

    Alright. Now for your part...

As you should know, we can create only one character (an hero / an heroine). Other soldiers must be recruited via BOS recruitment center.
To make things worse, Bro starts his 1st mission with two units already in the team: Farsight (sniper) and Stitch (doc).
So, where's the chance for you to use your l33t SPECIAL skills you may ask?

Well, the final version of FT-BOS comes with a nifty thing called FT Tools. One of them is Entity Editor, that allows us to modify most entities appearing in the game. Recruits included...

Using EE we can modify all available recruits. Basically, we can generate them from scratch (or cheat the fuck out of the game, but that's POPAMOLE of course).

    tl;dr

People who want to participate in this LP should post following data (Bro used as an example):

    1. Name: Bro (max 11 characters)
    2. Age: 25
    3. Sex: male
    4. Portrait:

      Male humans:
[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

      Female humans:
[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
      [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

      Tribals:
      [IMG] [IMG]

      Ghouls:
      [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
(Remember that these creatures have three race-specific Traits: Glowing One, Tech Wizard and Fear the Reaper. These perks replace Fast Metabolism, Bruiser and Heavy Handed).

      Raiders:
      [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

      SuperMutants:
      [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
(Remember that these creatures have two race-specific Traits: Vat Skin and Ham Fisted. These perks replace Small Frame and Finesse).

      Reavers:
      [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    5. SPECIAL Stats:

      ST 6
      PE 8
      EN 7
      CH 6
      IN 6
      AG 8
      LK 7

(Info for newfags: we start with 5 in each stat, have 5 points to distribute, each stat can be lowered to 1 (min).
    6. Traits: Gifted, Small Frame
    7. (Preferred) Perks: you can pick'em up right now or tell me what should I choose for you on level up (in case if you plan on following this LP)
    8. Tagged Skills: Small Guns, Energy Weapons, Doctor
    9. Skill useful from team's POV: Doctor

One person in the team should master such skill as: Lockpick, Traps, Repair, Pilot, Barter, Outdoorsman.
Those skills don't have to be tagged of course. I've picked Doctor for Bro because he isn't playing Ironman, so he will be a perfect doc.
    10. Preferred Weapons: Small Gun: a rifle, Energy Weapon: a rifle.
    Important stuff:

    1) We need two recruits ATM: one female (replacing Farsight) and one male (replacing Stitch). Why?

Of course with access to the recruitment center (in the future), choosing the gender would be possible.

    2) No filthy non-humans (at least for now). Our mighty Brotherhood/Sisterhood is human-only ATM.

    3) Let's leave the appearances unchanged:

    4) No melee-only characters. Pick at least one ranged weapon skill. Meleeing a super-mutant or a Behemoth is not a wise idea in my book. Sneak+Melee can be fun, but useless characters will be replaced, Darwinian way...

    Phew. That's all I think.

    The list of mighty rules:

    1) I'm gonna play semi-ironman. If BRO dies, I'm gonna load a savegame. If any of you die... I'm gonna recruit another meatbag. The level of each new recruit will always match Bro's level (so newfags won't be forced to start at Lv. 1 in last mission for example).

    2) Important decisions influencing the course of the game will be decided by your votings: Deathclaw Matriarch, Ghoultown, Endings, etc.

    3) The game options should be as follows:

The one thing that you can decide with your votes is difficulty level: I would suggest insane normal, but that's your call.

Anyway: the recruitment center / voting for difficulty level is now officially opened!

I would recommend you to change the charisma to 8 so you can get Divine Favor, a must-have. Anyways I'll post my character later.
