Really playing any halfway major power when you properly learn the mechanics in HoI is a "I win" button (same with most Paradox games really). The AI is just no way near as efficient as you.

Ghouls cost more resources, have tougher techs and take longer to build, I'd presume.

    Facing power armorz men

Finally everything is set for offensives to carry on through the Eastern Front. The BROtherhood still seems to not be putting most of their strength against the attackers. The stranded Brotherhood of Steel forces in Marquette will no longer be able to fight in their service.

Upon realizing their doom, as their ammunition was nearly running out, all of the encircled BROtherhood of Steel soldiers decided to kill themselves instead of surrendering to the horrors they knew that they were fighting.

The marauder legion in Madison was both convenient and not. For it would hinder the advance through the front lines. Thus it was decided to crush them right now. Their poorly equipped and poorly organized natured would ensue victory for the Mutant Army in spite of slightly inferior numbers.

As predicted, one step closer to Chicago. Two allies fought side by side, racing for the ruins of that once great city.

Finishing off the Huns was no longer a priority, but they would not be spared from total subjugation. However, the most important event lied in the West. If Rock Springs is secured, Vault City's doom would be coming.

Despite exhausted, the forces succeed at driving off the counter offensive. Rock Springs is secured, and now one successful drive into Pocatello would crush definitively Vault City by splitting their forces in half, and ensure total victory, and untold misery to the bitch known as Lynette. However, that would have to wait until the forces at Rock Springs recovered fully their organization, which would take some weeks at least.

However, things complicate in the Eastern Front as the BROtherhood of Diversity finally puts their full strength into the equation, and a particularly vulnerable part of the front once deemed safe is threatened as 11 brigades charge against five Super-Mutant brigades.

In spite of a counter-attack, they are forced to retreat from Cedar Rapids. This is the first victory of the BROtherhood in this war, and if they played their cards right, it could ensue a major success to their struggle.

The situation in the Eastern front was becoming more complicated. Continuous battles drained the entire organization of the most numberful force of the Hivemind within these front lines just as Cape Girardeau was once again secured.

Something strange is going on. Rumors about spies that have access to the pre-war Stealtboy technology glanced by rats, rumors about a powerful intelligence operation from foreign threats, of a potential Fifth Column operating right under the nose of the Founder. Better funding for intelligence is immediately sought and the counter-intelligence staff increased.

The forces currently operating in the east were stretched too thin to advance, and as soon as the small force arrived at Cape Girardeau, this issue became clear. Meanwhile, the BROtherhood took the initiative over Madison and a battle has begun. It was then that it became clear that now the BROtherhood of Diversity was sending everything they had against such a threat.

The best combatants of the BROtherhood came to support their defense against the Mutant legions. Their power armors were able to shrug off most small arms fire, but the Mutants raw strength and fanaticism worked together with their superior numbers. The battle lasted much longer than it would otherwise because of how tough those Paladins in power armor were.

Power armor didn't matter and victory was achieved in Madison. However, the BROtherhood seized Cedar Rapids and continue their offensive against Des Moines, with numerical superiority. The situation was tough, and thus immediately a flanking offensive was ordered.

Their hopes of breaking through the Rodent and Mutant lines were shattered as a new, violent assault began from multiple sides against the Brotherhood forces in Cedar Rapids to relieve the defenders of Des Moines.

However, the enemy brought reinforcements. This was the largest battle ever fought in the history of the Under-Nation. It was clear that the BROtherhood of Steel, like Vault City, wouldn't be an easy foe to crush, even with the support of the Super-Mutants. Things were still very unclear on the Eastern Front, with no side being the certain winner right now.

Their offensive on Des Moines was halted, but the battle for Cedar Rapids was still going on. If they BROtherhood had ten divisions about to reinforce Cedar Rapids, they could change the tide of the battle.

    This conflict remained undecided.

Seems the hivemind stumbled upon a really tough enemy. It was as expected though, so the under nation should look to halt the brotherhood of diversity sufficiently long enough to be able to lounch a counter attack. Also, it looks as if the majority of the forces that so far engaged the BoS were mutants, and therefore their loss is of no imperial conseqence to the rats, since it is better to spend someone else's forces than one's own
    [IMG]
Suggest securing the western fron ASAP as to focus all forces on the eastern front :salute:

ITZ happens in 44 right? So I know when to stop reading this LP, since I want to find out personally.

I just annexed Gecko and got a nuclear reactor in my poduction list. Can anyone tell me what it does? I'm not gonna spend 15 IC for two years just for eyecandy.

What I really like about this mod is the smaller territorial scope, yet almost everyone can still spam out hilarious amounts of shitty infantry :D

I think it would have been better to restrain the number of divisions more, having 100k+ army in Fallout is pretty retarded.

I find it funny that the first rant about "it being retarded" was not about the obvious movie props. About the fact the Caesar's Legion leader's photo is Leonidas from 300, about the Apocalypse Now's Kurtz running Las Vegas, about the fact the Enclave was supposed to have been completely defeated after Fallout 2, about the fact the Super-Mutants becoming a power again made no sense after the defeat of the Master Army... well, you know what I mean.

    ========================================

Beginning of the End for Vault City

The assault on Pocatello. Although not the final battle for the conquest of Vault City, it is the most important one. If Pocatello falls, Vault City will stand no chance. Trusting too much on the rough terrain and their fortifications to hold out with a numerically superior force, or perhaps simply not expecting the Under-Nation to boldly launch an attack against their best fortifications, Vault City kept a relatively small number of defenders there, specially because many of those defeated in Rock Springs didn't finish their retreat yet.

After many bloody hours, Cedar Rapids is at last secured. The forces are ordered to rest a little before advancing to occupy it.

They shall arrive simultaneously, and hopefully their numbers will now be sufficient to hold it.

The battle for Pocatello was a tough one. Despite outnumbered the defenders had heavy fortifications supporting them. They fought fiercely hoping for reinforcements that never arrived, and thus the fate of Vault City was sealed. Their end was nigh and soon a new bitch would be ravished by the rodent legions. A bitch named Lynette.

Instead of sending large numbers of defenders, the enemies continued to send minor, insignificant forces totally incapable of having any chance of victory, for reasons unknown.

The Founder wants a rat-sized Chrysalis Highwayman, and thus the research begins for the stockpiling, repair and recharging of batteries. Of course, besides his Highwayman, it will also be an important item to improve the economy of the glorious Hivemind.

Defeating the marauders from Madison might have been a minor strategic mistake, as the Brotherhood reached it first, securing it, yet they were first defeated, but when the mutants arrived, they were exhausted and quickly driven back, and thus the conflict was reaching bloody proportions within the Eastern Front.

Minor forces come, wave after wave, in attempt to hold Madison, and once again, the power armor elites of the Brotherhood of Diversity are among the defenders, however they stood little chance due to their strategically unwise formation along small armies. It would certainly be a victory in spite of their technological superiority and skills.

But this time the Brotherhood finally pulled a defense of their threatened territory properly, sending a massive wave of reinforcements that made what was once a promising offensive a total failure, thanks to the fact the brave power armor men held their ground against the superior mutant forces while their reinforcements were coming. Of course, the Mutant Army was not putting their entire strength at this section of the front for this offensive.

But as soon as the Brotherhood reinforcements came, they did, and now the battle outcome was unclear, for the power armors could still compensate for their numerical inferiority. However, the support to the offensive came from the freshly secured Cedar Rapids.

While the battle of Madison was ongoing, the forces that arrived at Cedar Rapids and supported it were once again driven back by the BROtherhood with a flanking attack, in spite of another flanking offensive in their support. The poor infrastructure of the region has made of this section of the front a poor one to launch a major offensive from, for due to how slowly the forces would progress, by the time they'd arrive at Cedar Rapids, they'd be nearly depleted of organization.

Thus the Battle of Madison once again reached an unclear situation, with both forces nearly even numerically and the Brotherhood having the power armors on their side. Then, the fresh occupation of Pocatello is also threatened. However it will be of no consequence, for their mere presence has wrecked the Vault City supply lines, and Vault City is now surrounded. Victory is near!

They did their best, but even though they lost this battle, their previous victory has won the war against Vault City. The warlords commanding these forces shall definitively be remembered as those who delivered the crushing blow against one of the most powerful manboon civilizations of the Kwa' West Coast.

Even before the battle came, a few, of the less dumb and pricky citizens of Vault City, realizing its doom, desperatedly fled west towards Redding, to hopefully reach New Arroyo, which was now known as the troublesome but currently successful offspring of another Vault, like New California Republic. It was a very violent assault against the gates of Vault City. Their forces fought to the last men, and killed themselves instead of surrendering. A few have chosen to kill themselves as they gazed upon ITZ, the end of their arrogant, hypocritical and proud civilization was nigh.

The unsuccessful offensive against Madison was nearly forgotten as the news arrived to the 2nd Rat Council: Vault City fell! Soon they would step upon it and the Rats shall rule over everything left of it! And as soon as both Vault City and Provo are secured, the official annexation of Vault City shall happen. Unfortunately, rumors came that Lynette killed herself, but not before setting up everything to burn her own corpse. Typical.

May this serve as a lesson for all those who might be willing to dare declaring war against the Under-Nation!

:salute: Vault City is a great PC faction, but I've never seen them do anything as an AI faction.

Also, too bad that the BROhood has to go before the brotherhood. Oh well, I guess thats wasteland life.

Actually, I think it should be pointed out that units are not divisions in the mod, but battalions. And with these number, reaching a 100k+ army requires vast territory (due to limited Manpower) and lots of time.

I think manpower resources may be a bit excessive right now in this mod.

    =====================================

    Rearmageddon in Vault City

Victory is near. The retreating forces had no chance of holding Vault City as they were surrounded. Now it is only a matter of time.

Things become complicated within the eastern front, as now Des Moines is also threatened by the Brotherhood counter-offensive. The matter with Vault City must be finished off soon or there is even a risk the BROtherhood could begin to emerge victorious after all.

A new flanking attack begins to relieve Des Moines. The enemy is caught by surprise and although violent, the tide of battle is turned.

Once again a new offensive begins towards Cedar Rapids, where the endless stalemate carries on.

Vault City has fallen! Now as soon as Provo falls, Vault City will be no more! This is a great day for the Under-Nation, the day they defeated one of the most powerful civilizations of the wastelands. Their might grows unparalleled.

While once again Cedar Rapids will host more and more, and more battles in defense and attack for it, from both sides.

Cross-eyes begin to develop systems for mass production of Rad-away, which would be a major boost to all forces of the glorious Hivemind.

To the south, Cape Girardeau is once again target. Victory seemed certain here.

Some less enlightened rats, even in face of such mighty external enemies, continue killing each other. Their heads shall roll as an example to the rest. Without unity the Under-Nation might fail in their destiny of world domination.

And then, finally the time comes for the final push into Provo, where the remnants of Vault City military make their last stand.

With the war virtually won to the west, slowly, most of the forces there are prepared to be redeployed to the war against the Brotherhood.

Unfortunately, once again loss of organization dooms the attempt of securing Cape Girardeau, it is clear more soldiers are needed.

More research, this time on close quarters battle, combining hand-to-hand weapons and short-ranged firearms. Melee weapons would prove themselves still useful in the wastelands, after all, in spite of the fact they weren't horribly unbalanced and overpowered compared to firearms like in Arcanum.

Armed teacher corps? How many bruthas are there in the wastes? Because of the scientific benefits of such system of education for the rats, it is approved.

And then, at last, in 1st of November of 2249, Vault City is no more! Immediately dozens of thousands are being redeployed to fight against the BROtherhood of Diversity, while celebrations erupt among the rats for this impressive and major victory. Nothing else shall stop them now!

Well, considering that IRL, in some thirdworldia holes some niggers students are crackheads and thugs carrying guns that multikult and diversity forbid from being banished from the right to education... I can see that happening.

Actually they are being pounded by the God Republic of kingc... Texas, and were nearly wiped out by the Zombie Apocalypse once. They only didn't lose it because the Zombies foolishly declared war against the Brotherhood.

    And, Happy 2011.

Keeping with the 1984-motif, Armed Teacher Corps would kind of make sense seeing how it was the educators that started the totalitarian revolution. Assuming that the mod ends in LARPed 2257, this thread will definitely be going for quite a while.

This is not Warhammer 40k so there is no need of going overtly grimdark and being evil just for the sake of it. Remember that the rats are supposed to be amoral rather than immoral. If something "good" brings greater benefits to the economy and future of the Under-Nation, including of course their world domination plans, than something "evil", they'll choose it instead of "evulz".
