First the decrepit Syrians. Their remaining lands are of little interest to Jerusalem but they should be put out of the war quickly, so that all focus could be over the Mamluk heathens.

Their now insignificant army is crushed, and thus all efforts will now be focused on the goal of crushing the heathen threat for once and all.

The will of God stands above temporal matters of taxes.

In the beginning of 1445, Egypt, rather than seizing the opportunity, has chosen to not take any risks. For Jerusalem it is good, but what good does it make for a land once ruled by heathens to be ruled by heretics?

The infidel was lured to attack forces they thought they could win against, but of course, they lack one important ally in this battle: God.

One of the largest Mamluk armies thus is going to be routed.

And now, the sieges shall commence over all their unholy land.

But Jerusalem was surprised, for a new, massive legion advanced from the Ethiopian lands. Two thousand brave men perished against the legion, fighting bravely to the last, God bless their souls.

And thus, the war once in Jerusalem's favor was now clearly on another footing.

Khorasan too their slice from the conflict. Now it is only Jerusalem, the Knights Hospitaller and of course God, against the Mamluks.

Nile was lost, but for the Mamluks it was a pyrrhic victory, so to call it defeat may as well be declarared heretical.

As the battle continues with the odds against Jerusalem, God answers their call. Most of the people in Aleppo have abandoned HERESY! and embraced the true faith.

Another pyrrhic victory for the enemy, after which the armies of Jerusalem retreat into allied Egyptian territory.

Godfrey, one of the greatest generals ever in the holy kingdom, leads the newly formed knights of Jerusalem to crush the sieges of isolated Mamluk forces while preparations are on the way for a decisive battle against their greater army.

First, the footsoldiers prepare their bows and arrows, as the knights will arrive more or less precisely once the battle reaches its shock phase, although more reinforcements are coming from the enemy. The battle will be decided by the skills and courage of men and leaders and by God.

Yet, in spite of the glorious victory of Jerusalem, the infidel legions of Iberia and Algiers have crushed their ally. Must be because of heresy that they lost the war.

Most of the uncharted infidel lands are mapped, as all their armies are wiped out.

Now, it is a moment to show them the falsity of their God. For if their God is real, Mecca will never fall to their heathen hands. Their demonic black stone will withstand the coming destruction and desecration. But will that happen? No, because Allah is nothing but Satan!

Near all of Egyptian lands under infidel control are secured, it is time now to head for the very holy city of the infidel and crush it!

The question is not what Jerusalem will do, because honestly with the inflation as terribly bad as it is I'd rather spend years at peace waiting for all conquered provinces to become cores, but one of the features of playing as Jerusalem is that you don't need to start wars, you just need to wait to see who will declare Jihad or (Re)conquest first.

Sybilla formally declared war against this kingdom of Vidyanegroes, but they better not expect the exhausted holy kingdom, after so many conflicts, to march their armies through countless vastness of uncharted land to help them in a front far, far away. Let the heathens kill each other over this India the European merchants are so ambitious about finding out. Jerusalem simply does not care.

More traitors and heretics. Well there is not much to say about them. They shall all burn or die by the sword, and eventually, die by the BLAM! too . DEUS VULT!

A recently converted arab priest is caught red-handed in the act of sodomizing a goat. Jerusalem agreed to let the Church decide his fate as after all no person was directly harmed by such act other than those who have seen what cannot be unseen, although it is obvious that certain habits will take a long time to die, if ever, among the recently converted population, goatfucking being one of them.

Then something unexpected happens in favor of Jerusalem. The old crusader dynasty of de Lusignan had their last ruler, who died with heirs, and due to the royal marriages, now the Queen of Jerusalem is also the Queen of Cyprus. However, there is one big problem in holding out Cyprus for the holy kingdom: the heretical Eastern Roman Empire claims Cyprus as their rightful lands, which means they can start another war for Cyprus at any moment.

Withholding knowledge and truths from the unwashed masses have never worked against any kingdom. Obscurantism is the path to ensure the stability, for minds too small to understand the situation would only be driven to despair and HERESY! if they were to known the whole truth.

In the year of the Lord 1455, the Roman Empire has made their move. They want to seize Cyprus by force, although obviously their ambitions extend much farther. Cyprus and Jerusalem must be defended at all costs! And this time there will be no peace until the heretics revoke their claims over Cyprus!

The entire army of Jerusalem prepares to give to the Roman heretics a major surprise, thanks to the treaties with Armenia. It is time to make them pay the price for all they brought against the sacred Jerusalem!

Boldly, the fleets of the Knights and of Jerusalem defy a part of the massive Roman Navy. This could prove itself disastrous, but the under-appreciated navy of Jerusalem sought their moment of glory here.

And by maneuvering and avoiding the larger fleets, they brought the first victories for Jerusalem. These victories lacked any major significance, for soon the bulk of the heretical navies would blockade Jerusalem and they'd stand no chance, but it was a show of courage, for so few to make a stand against so many.

The crusaders march towards Constantinople! Unfortunately, guarded by the massive Roman fleet, Constantinople is beyond their reach, but they will seek to conquer most of Anatolia, as a means of forcing the enemy to give up Cyprus.

However, even as they march to their glory, other enemies arise in the holy land. Traitors, heathens, heretics, they take advantage of the war to seek their unholy goals. It is a necessary sacrifice to ignore them for now, because a rapid victory is of essence. Rome can rise armies much larger than Jerusalem, and most importantly, they can afford them.

What can be worse than a heretic or a heathen? One that is both heretic and heathen at the same time. This is truly the worst, most vile form of HERESY!!! to have ever befallen upon our holy hand. Their time is coming, however, and they will all be exterminated.

The crusader armies are becoming of an increasingly higher standard. There is no place for the weak of body and spirit in this army, for this is a war against heretics, traitors and heathens who will sooner or later make their move, and their legions are vast and outnumber their army by and far..

The gateway to Constantinople will fall! Let the traitors gawk their empty victories while glory awaits those who are on the side of righteousness.

Along all these glorious battles, it must not be forgotten how brave the garrison of Cyprus has been so far, holding out against all odds. But now the Romans prepare their legions to retake Optimatoi, and once ready, they will outnumber the entire army of Jerusalem. May God be with them.

The Romans lose the first of their territories in Anatolia. This is a good sign, but there is much yet to do for despite the early victories they still refuse the demands of Jerusalem for them to forsake their claims over Cyprus.

Optimatoi, the gate to Constantinople, has fallen.

However, soon a legion attacks the small forces of Jerusalem at Optimatoi. They do their best to hold out long enough for the reinforcements that could turn the tide of this losing battle. Having to cross the strait and facing them under jagged landscapes and the castles once under their control, the Roman forces suffer heavy losses.

Optimatoi is defended successfully. However, even after all these victories, the Romans refuse even a white peace. Let them soon regret their pride.

Jerusalem is in the middle of the war, this is not the time for stability issues. God will take care of the economy. Away with this Jewry!

Meanwhile, a far more massive force heads for another attack at Optimatoi. All Jerusalem forces converge towards it to defend it at all costs in a battle that will define the war.

Despite significantly outnumbered, the brave crusaders inflict devastating casualties against the heretics and hold Optimatoi with immense valor, skill and bravery, as the once proud Roman commander now begins to doubt their chances.

The heretics have lost battle after battle! Why do they insist in refusing to abandon their claims over Cyprus? No matter how many more armies they can raise, as indeed they can, they will be crushed again and again, for this is no longer like what the ancient general Pyrrhus thought. Jerusalem has more than enough of men willing to die for the holy land, and at this rate of devastating losses against the enemy, it won't take long for this, like all empires built out of HERESY, to collapse.

Jerusalem must force the decadent and heretical Roman Empire to give up Cyprus, no matter the cost. DEUS VULT!

Actually there is a way. I just started playing this myself, and I found the trick: Due to how accepted culture mechanic works, you have to start settlement process elsewhere. I did so in Baghdad (would have gone accepted immediately next month after coring, but you gotta work fast and have at most only one other Al-Iraqiya province), and now I'm doing so in Persia. Because I've avoided moving against Mamluks for more Al-Misri provinces (instead my masterstroke was a lucky claim to Armenia, which I've integrated just now, once they core Al-Misri should be un-accepted) to keep the tax income from that culture down. I've also made careful use of Fabricate Claims (really powerful in this mod, grants a core off the bat) against Khorasan in order to obtain and settle high-value Persian provinces for Crusader culture.

Only Cyprus? :D

Without land connection or island proximity like Cyprus has, it's possible that the province would count only as a colony, and provinces in a defensive war still cost 8 infamy (21 is the limit).

17% and rising... between inflation and losing wars, I prefer inflation.

As for taking more than Cyprus, are you insane? Jerusalem forces are vastly outnumbered by the Byzantine Army and they are literally unable to cross the Bosphorus protected by the Roman navy and occupating Rhodes would be impossible because of the Roman naval supremacy, and at there is the growing threat of Iberia and Algiers knocking the doors. Even if they conquered all of Anatolia they'd probably manage very little, gain lot of infamy and without a army they simply can't afford they can't achieve such occupation at all. Add to this the blockade making war exhaustion skyrocket, and the futility of conquering land without a direct land connection by a country which has no real navy.

Another massive Roman legion is crushed, but after all these defeats, the proud heretic still refuses to give up Cyprus. And for a good reason, these victories could be made irrelevant by one single, crushing victory by them, for they can keep sending more men to die.

There will be lots of BLAM! needed to purify Damascus. Suffer not the heretic, the heathen and the traitor.

No matter how many of their castles falls, the prideful Romans refuse any treaty! It is obvious that Jerusalem is in a far more complicated situation than thought, and more legions rise again and again. Nevertheless, they will withstand the war and prevail, for this war may define the future of the kingdom for centuries. In Sebasteia another critical battle has begun, and at first the heretics are at the advantage. Those who successfully sieged Armeniacon now rush to reinforce the weary defenders, praying for a war that has been fought for way too many years due to the pride of the enemy despite the fact the enemy has lost battle after battle. Realizing how the legions grew, it was decided to fall back near the Armenian borders which would secure the armies of Jerusalem against the threat of enemy legions routing it.

Outnumbered and lacking the massive landscape advantages to their defense the previous major battle brought, the glorious armies of Jerusalem nevertheless emerged victorious again, humiliating once more the Romans, now ridiculed across the world for their failures against a numerically inferior army, even with their massive numbers of knights that perished because they lacked the determination and resolve of those who believe in the holy cause.

However, shortly after this first, devastating victory at Sebasteia, another legion attacked the weary crusaders.

And they had no option left than to retreat to the safety of Armenian territories, although they again, through the genius of their general, superior training and blessing of the Lord, brought far more devastating losses against the heretics to make this for them nothing but a pyrrhic victory.

While the armies of Jerusalem are safe and prepare to launch raids against smaller heretical armies, the situation worsens. HERESY! traitors and too many years of war have once again wounded the kingdom, but they cannot surrender!

Their attack leads to one more victory for Jerusalem, causing significant losses, and the opportunity to rout even more of their legions.

The cowards have abandoned the war. Nevertheless, they are irrelevant and during the whole history of the alliance, Egypt did nothing but drag Jerusalem into wars, that they have agreed to forsake the alliance in shame is thus better for Jerusalem, and besides, it opens an opportunity unlike any: the opportunity to put these Copt heretics in their place and seize the rich city of Alexandria for the true faith before the heathens do it.

The Jerusalem forces continue ambushing smaller Roman armies, but eventually they were on the way to being overwhelmed, and again had to head for Armenia.

They fought bravely, inflicting far more losses against the enemy even in their desperate retreat to safety. May God help Jerusalem.

The retreat ended in safety, although many didn't make it. Now the legions of Rome were so vast that any attempt of fighting in their own lands would be futile, instead, worrisomely, the war now reached the Holy Land, but the Romans were far from victorious, for Godfrey Rendis is a legend, one of the greatest leaders of men to have ever graced the crusader armies.

Damascus is growing in prosperity, despite all traitors, heathens and heretics currently tainting it. Roman armies besiege Diamentina and Jerusalem will prevail against them because of their superiorly trained and led army, and of course, because of the blessing of the Lord and because they were arrogant enough to besiege Diamentina with a pretty small force.

The results of this battle are devastating. Why do they still refuse to revoke their claim on Cyprus? No matter. Even if hundreds of thousands of Roman heretics have to be purged first, they will lose this war and accept the relatively small demand of Jerusalem.

Once again, among those who lost almost everything, rumors emerge of another miracle maker giving the sight back to the blind, the ability to stand back to the invalid and helping the sick and wounded in an act of complete self-sacrifice for his fellow men. Jerusalem, land of God and his many prophets, is fittingly the source of most saints of current times.

More heretics besiege Aleppo, in far larger numbers than the now routed force sieging Diamentina, but the Jerusalem army, even if only fourteen thousand strong, does not fear this battle.

Even their vast cavalry failed to stop this masterful offensive to break their siege. Jerusalem victories echo through the Catholic world, the Popes sing praises to this beacon of hope amidst a world rife with HERESY! and Islamic invaders.

And speaking of HERESY! unfortunately it is growing as strong lately as the heathen themselves.

Maybe after they have sent literally every young man in Rome to die, they will agree to the peace treaty Jerusalem wants.

How many more hundreds of thousands of peasants can they send to their deaths in the name of HERESY before they give up?

Fortunately, after yet another of their armies being completely crushed in Damascus, finally the gigantic pride of their "Emperor" was hurted enough for him to be humbled and realize they have lost the war.

Jerusalem could continue this war, but what benefit would come from doing so? The kingdom has been ravaged by war for too long, there is no Roman territory with a direct land border with Jerusalem, which is currently beset internally by heretics and traitors, and thus they need some years of peace again to be able to recover, and now the heretic is finally willing to give up Cyprus, which will hopefully secure peace for Jerusalem, at least against them. May the manhood of the Basileus be forever diminished to a point they'll fear and feel ashamed of ever trying to defy Jerusalem again after losing a war against a much smaller kingdom than their prideful empire, and, to salt the wound, a smaller kingdom currently led by a woman, "Saint" Sibylla von Hohenzollern, as some already discreetly proclaim her.

And thus, after their glorious victory against the Romans in 1462, the kingdom would have some decades of peace, or at least it was hoped they would, but there are many enemies of God nearby, vast enemies of God.

Rest in peace Godfrey Rendis, for we will never forget your heroic deeds and leadership in defense of Jerusalem. A truly great leader of men, his name will go down in history.

But in a nation shaped by wars and victories, there is always a new hero ready to carry on the torch once the previous hero goes to heaven. Amalric Fadrigue is a great leader as well, and he has demonstrated to have potential to create a legacy of victories as glorious as that of Godfrey Rendis. May his skills be not required any time soon, for Jerusalem has sacrificed too much and too many already to fight for her continued sovereignty.

But the war against the insurmountable legions of heretics, heathens and traitors is unfortunately a war without end, and now, barely an year after the end of the war against Rome, another enemy arguably far more dangerous and powerful than all enemies Jerusalem has faced before, emerges: the filthy, disgusting heathens of Iberia, Algiers and Yemen, banding together as a Jihad was proclaimed to retake Mecca and destroy the Kindgom of Jerusalem, which began with their declaration of war against the Knights Hospitaller of Gaza. Once again the soil will weep the blood of heathen, heretic and faithful alike, once again, all crusaders will need to do their finest to defend Jerusalem, and they will, and perhaps, by using the military access granted by Egypt and by enough skill and superiority, if God helps, the threat of Algiers could be crushed for once and all, the heathens exterminated for that is the fate of all enemies of the only true Lord.

As for suggestions of increasing the army, I can barely keep Jerusalem afloat without building up inflation with them at the minimum maintenace needed to not be instantly routed by rebels. Jerusalem could field a larger army, but they can't afford it.


Also, do you know what is the most awesome thing about this alternate history Jerusalem? Because they are at Eastern European Tech military units... eventually:

Yemen will be crushed first. They are the closest and their presence would force Jerusalem to fight over multiple fronts. Let their arrogance and their false faith be heralds of their coming demise, for once they are done with, only those who are on God's side shall be triumphant!

The superior leadership of Amalric Fadrigue in battle, a true hero of Jerusalem, inflicts upon the heathens devastating losses, as he personally slays hundreds by himself and the other men fight with their best, the knights of Jerusalem crushing the heathen formations and the slaughter consumed as a starting notice of what awaits those who defy the righteous. No prisoners are made. Let them all burn in hell!

Obviously Satan, as he puppeteers his legions of worshippers to attack Jerusalem, equally launches other far less visible attack against the holy kingdom, his demons spreading sickness towards those who refuse to recognize the one true faith. Measures are taken to minimize the impact of such demonic vileness, but many shall die before they could meet salvation, may God have mercy on their souls.

Led by the bvrave and valorous knight-commander Amalric Fadrigue, the crusaders assault the throne of the infidel and now march towards the valuable west coast of this heathen land, which shall be demanded as compensation for them to not be completely exterminated as they should actually be.

Unfortunately, the garrison of Diamentia was not strong and devout enough to hold on long enough for the defeat of the Yemeni towelheads. Nevertheless, it shall be retaken and the infidels will forever cry and moan in butthurt while their future generations shitpost in RPGCodex to then be sent to RPGWatch once their deserving fate for declaring such a vile Jihad happens!

Great, even as the gigantic threat of the religion of the devil spreads all across Europe, instead of uniting for the cause of purging these heathens, the catholic church has suffered a schism during the latest Curia. Nevertheless, Jerusalem must prevail, with or without a schism.

There is very little left to put Yemen out of the war and seize from them their valuable west coast.

Their armies are once again crushed, their defeat is only a matter of time. May the garrisons stand strong for soon the relief will arrive and crush the invaders, send them all to the depths of Hell where these devil-worshippers belong.

Looks like the heathens called upon the help of more heathens in the depths of Africa. They could as well send a bunch of monkeys with spears it would make no difference. The traitors and heathens continue their depredations, but now, the greatest threat is Mecca, where the ragheads are about to declare independence and swear loyalty to the despicable Najd. The crusader armies are outnumbered compared to this rabble, but they are superior in everything else against them. There is nothing holy in Mecca, as proven because no god sent any seven plagues seven times against Jerusalem because of their desecration of the Black Stone, now correctly identified as a meteorite of iron, which is currently being, in a maximum show of how false their religion is, being split into pieces by picks and sent to blacksmiths to forge blades, armors and pikes from its metal that will be used to ironically slay the heathen who thought such stone was sacred as it now shall pierce their hearts and be of service in the cause of the one true faith. One blade in special was requested to be forever stored in Jerusalem as a trophy of their conquest against the heathen, although this is not enough. The heathens still fight for their false holy land and they must be crushed to never again rise.

While the crusaders march towards Mecca, more traitors rise. They think they can win this one on numbers alone, but they are wrong. Jerusalem faced far better trained, equipped and prepared forces than such rabble that equally outnumbered them, and emerged victorious, and once again they shall.

WHERE IS YOUR ALLAH NOW?

The world has changed in wake of the glorious victory of Jerusalem against the heathens and their blind Jihad. The Pope himself took measures to, taking advantage of how every Iberian and Algerian legion was crushed and routed by the brave crusaders, eliminate for once and all the threat of Algiers to the Levant. The Catholic Church thus devastated the towelheads and conquered most of their lands which will soon be purged from their unholy rot and lies only the great deceiver could whisper to the ears of a pedophile criminal.

They try again, without success, to take over Mecca. Where is their god now? Soon the traitors are purged from Arabia, and thus the crusaders march northwards to face those as reviled, despised, abhorred and demonic as the traitors themselves:

There was some serious butthurt from the clergy about this, although they should be less ungrateful considering all Jerusalem did for the true faith and indirectly for the Papal States that became much stronger now only thanks to Jerusalem.

As the previous battles and wars have shown, the path to victory against the weak-willed heathens, heretics and traitors is the path of being the best army and not the biggest army, and thus standards are rising for recruitment. Only the most physically fit, disciplined and pious will be accepted within the crusader armies.

By the ending of the year of the lord 1475, the traitors have been practically exterminated. Jerusalem once again rose triumphant against inside and outside enemies, but the treason that jepardized all their conquests would not be forgiven. Najd and the remnants of the Mamluks are already under siege by the Khanate of Khorasan, which makes this the best time to punish the traitors and heathens without mercy, and to serve as a warning to all those who may yet dare to declare Jihad against Jerusalem. Meanwhile Cairo is simply vastly valuable, wealthy, populous, with over two hundred souls that may yet be saved, and to add to it, no longer the Mamluk remnant capital, which means it would be a valuable addition for Holy Jerusalem.

Suffer not the heathen to live.

Jerusalem footsoldiers are reputed for their bravery and history of victories into assaults against enemy fortifications and friendly fortifications taken by enemies or traitors. Their relatively short siege of Cairo became another of such great victories, and now Jerusalem stands ready to take another step towards becoming a Crusader Imperium.

Her long reign would be forever enshrined for its achievements, a reign that many would claim to have indirectly saved Europe from Islam by crushing Iberia and Algiers and paving the rebirth of the crusader kingdoms and of a mighty Papal State after a period of Islamic resurgence, a reign during which Jerusalem faced enemies vastly greater and emerged victorious, a reign that made Jerusalem from a small kingdom ever threatened by extinction to mighty beacon of the one true faith that crushed and conquered many of those who wanted to destroy it and now approaches the extent and power of an Empire. Due to the precarious situation of Jerusalem during her long reign and its triumph, Sibylla died acclaimed by the nobles and peasants of Jerusalem alike(worthless traitors, heretics and heathens aside) as the greatest queen of all times, and the deeds of her and the heroes of Jerusalem would be forever remembered, as such were deeds that made this kingdom survive against all odds, and unlike any previous Jerusalem, this time, it has reached a state where it can no longer be challenged. Sibylla was to Jerusalem what queen Victoria and Elizabeth would have been to Great Britain in another universe.

The death of Sibylla would more or less be the beginning a new age for Jerusalem, an age only brought thanks to her deeds and triumph, now inherited by her military and administratively competent son Godfrey II, an age known as:

PAX HIERUSALEMICA

Of all semitic peoples, the only who are loyal to Jerusalem are the Jews. Where in many countries of Europe the inquisition and peasantry ruthlessly persecuted Jews, in Jerusalem the righteous and angry people were too busy hating turbanheads, traitors and heretical and too respectful of the untainted reputation of the Jews for loyalty to the crown to go after them. Unfortunately the ragheads found the support of Jews to Jerusalem an affront, and hatred against Jews was stronger than ever among the muslims.

Of course, some people in Jerusalem are not particularly righteous, and thus the kingdom had to intervene and put these sinners in their place.

Godfrey was not a good diplomat and thinker about the consequences of diplomatic deals. Although he imagined that an alliance with the Holy Roman Emperor would help Jerusalem, soon he would wisely realize the mistake he did before it could hurt Jerusalem, except for prestige.

The blessings of God continue to reach the holy land. Now arabia and the Levant have been mostly conquered by two powers: the vast but backwards Khanate of Khorasan and the righteous Kingdom of Jerusalem, and for now, they are technically allies, meaning there will most likely be peace for the region for many decades. However, from both it was Jerusalem who grew stronger during their conquests.

Morocco however refused to give in. In name of putting an end ot the blockades, Jerusalem had to remember that humility also is a Christian virtue.

And thus they paid a very small price for peace.

In 1479 the folly of allying with Wurtemberg was realized. It was hoped they had the common sense of knowing:

• Jerusalem is not a naval power
• Jerusalem is vastly distant from any European country they may get at war against
• Jerusalem has never waged war against followers of the one true faith.

But obviously they didn't, and the most sensical choice harmed the prestige of Jerusalem. This bickering is precisely why the Holy Land was taken by the heathens, why Iberia is a caliphate and why it still lies there. Every time one righteous wage war on another for temporal ambitions, the devil is thankful.

There was however one problem in Jerusalem: their economy was not in a good shape after almost a hundred years of nonstop wars where their armies could only be kept at maximum capability and morale through minting. Hopefully a lasting peace now that near every threat to Jerusalem has been utterly crushed will improve the situation.

Egypt also offers again alliance. Considering that Alexandria is their capital, and many Christian kingdoms are allied to them, it is better for Cairo to be the last conquest of Jerusalem in Africa.

Something however changed among the crusader kings of Egypt. Godfrey tried to not show his... disgust, when it became clear that the new kings of Egypt are now both heretical Miaphysites and have been culturally assimilated into the raghead culture. But being not particularly diplomatic, he made it obvious he wasn't at ease at the court of Alexandria with seeing so many nobles and even prince speaking a language of arab farm animals.

In the year of the Lord 1479, much has changed. Hear ye the news of the world:

Despite strong, Iberia was humbled by Jerusalem, and their conquests over Europe fortunately came to a halt. Their allies at Algiers paid a much higher price for their arrogance: most of their once vast territory has been, to salt the wound, by the Papal States now spreading Catholicism to Africa, a rightful "reward" for their Jihad against Jerusalem.

At Western Europe, Guyenne once powerful was utterly crushed by Iberia and by wars with neighbors, but still survives as a shadow of its former self. The Kingdom of France however has grown much stronger, although they are yet to challenge Guyenne for supremacy. Over the British and Irish Isles England has become near completely triumphant.

At Central Europe, due to the nature of the Holy German Empire, little has changed, except for a curious detail: Bohemia has become a fallen kingdom, as their king embraced the Hussite HERESY and proclaimed it the official state religion of the kingdom. Also relevant is how the Papal States become growingly powerful during the last years, and the Church now directly rules over most of Italy, and over much of North Africa as well.

At Eastern Europe and Scandinavia, one kingdom has emerged mighty and victorious, proclaiming itself a new Empire, to the demise of the heathens of Finland. Although Jerusalem should celebrate the demise of heathens, this is meaningless as this was a victory for the Orthodox heretics of the now Lithuanian Empire, which is currently trying to completely subjugate Muscovy, after conquering half of Finland, with the other half conquered by Scandinavia. Many are unsure on how Lithuania grew so powerful although some current historians claim that this was thanks to the power of the Lithuanian Hitmen.

Over the caucausus, Armenia struggles against Georgia and the Roman Empire, and seemingly is losing the war. If Rome gains a direct border with Jerusalem because of this, it will be a problem, but for now, it remains to be seen whether this will later influence Jerusalem or not. As for the farthest reaches of Asia, the Mongol Hordes remain strong and mighty even now, and Khorasan needs no explanation on how they have expanded in the vacuum the victories of Jerusalem left.

And finally, the Levant and the Middle East, the holy land. Jerusalem has become supreme over them now, with no immediate threat near them anymore, while Egypt, despite having lost Libya, regained most of Egypt proper except for Cairo, and stands much stronger than before as well, and most importantly, despite religious differences, as once again an ally of Jerusalem. May a long lasting peace upon which the Crusader culture shall triumph and the economy grow stronger at last be the reward for these near one hundred years of continuous wars.
