In the beginning, the world was dark, chaotic and full of madness.
But then, something happened. The mights divine gazed down upon the world and decided it could not go on in its current form.
And when the Logos erupted in the high heavans...
Yehi or!
Get your own thread, Jesus, this is my turf.
... the world had finally changed. For better, or for worse.
Albert Tokaj was seemingly the only one who noticed the sign from above. And he knew that it was good. But there was no time to marvel at all these new colours, he had to get to the Irivdiali tunnels and find a man named... what was his name again?
Oh right, Varday. He knew of the Red Eye supermutant that Albert was hellbent on hunting down.
Albert "Reaper" Tokaj left the ranger outpost once again.
It was certainly weird that this dead guy always had spare ammo on his corpse each time I passed through.
Let us press on.
The gate to the lake was heavily guarded this time, both by armed mutant gunman and ex-hussars. The world was out to get me again, tales of my exploits must have leaked to the evil outside.
The lake was certainly... different this time around. Those blood-red trees reminded me of the lunacy of the doge-eat-doge world I lived in.
The elevator to the old tunnels. But I wanted to make a last short trek around the lake first.
Oh for fuck's sake not these hicks again.
BLAH BLAH BLAH UPDATED MY JOURNAL
Can't complain about free ammo. There was something disturbing about this whole cannibal outpost, however. No matter from which direction I approached it, the hobo king and his buttbuddy were always waiting for me, ready to denounce me as an anarchist. And then they vanished before I could dispense my medicine...
A cavern! I hadn't noticed it earlier.
A mutated boar and a battery to upgrade my ripper. Good that I found it.
I'm absolutely dead positive this would look much better in black and white!!
I went off again in search of different hidden caches. The rainbow-coloured mushrooms were very disturbing.
I did some rounds around the place, but couldn't find anything of worth. Weird, I was certain there was another gate leading out of here earlier. Shrug.
Time to go down.
How scary!
I found myself on what I assumed to be a train track.
The other way into the darkness must have been seriously irradiated because even a single step that way would start hurting me...
When suddenly...
CHOO CHOO!!!!
Okay, that was pretty hilarious
This time I waited for the train to pass before moving on.
... how exactly did these guys not get run over?
Goin' up stairs and shit
I emerged out of the tunnels.
But before going under the sky again, I found a heavy machine gun around the exit. This would come in handy.
Hut hut hut
So that was Gyula Creek? Not much of a creek if you ask me.
I found another Ripper upgrade among the junk. My shrapnel and shield modules were now at full capacity. It was time to apply some practical psychiatry.
The perimeter of the outpost was crawling with mutants.
At one point they got out of the mist into my blindside...
For fuck's sake, Al, do you think I enjoy saving your ass all the time?
CLEANSE! PURGE! KILL!
Mutant gunmen! Surely, I was on the right track.
... when suddenly...
I cleared the area and was ready to proceed further inside the compound.
But I feared I was already too late.
For some odd reason, the container doors shut behind me.
A tough mutie bastard was waiting for me on the other side, but nothing a fully charged Ripper shot couldn't handle.
Some teabagging later...
Let's look for survivors.
But there was hardly anyone there...
Why are the other mutants following Red Eye?
He's smart and he's strong. An alpha... but his mutants aren't mindless beasts either. They obey. They know how to use weapons. Turns out the most dangerous mutant I've ever hunted got himself a squad of bodyguards.
This isn't going to end well...
I got into a different part of the base, when suddenly...
A survivor! I had to follow him/her/it/xir! He/she/it/xir definitely had the answers I was seeking.
And when the Logos erupted in the high heavans...
