I was wondering if there's any interest in a "let's make" of a game and if so what sort of format people would want for it.

I want to practice game programming but I'm terrible at ideas and motivation.

So I guess a poll would decide the game genre, and then I'd build it bit by bit with feedback/ideas/demands from comments. I'd put the source code up for others to play with.

I know this is the RPG codex, but rpgs take a long time to make (just look at AoD) and depends very heavily on aesthetics (nobody plays Fallout because of the amazing gameplay), so I don't know suitable that would be for me.

Maybe a roguelike instead?

Meanwhile, I offer this 4x prototype I'm working on
