Ah, maybe the Inquisitor has not gone completely rogue. Maybe he's just a high-ranking man who's using his mental abilities and power armor to conceal his mutations acquired from an unknown xeno entity. We should probably step back and let him do his thing, I trust it will end well.

I'm thinking that our choice of destination should be a choice about whether we believe the =I= is corrupted. If we do, we should go to the LG, on the grounds that he's in a much better position to control the threat. There's a higher chance of BLAM!, but it's our best chance of stopping the =I=.

If the inquisitor isn't corrupted, I'm not really sure what our motivation is, beyond staying alive. I have the feeling that going to the commissar will probably result in a better story, since we're likely to be operating covertly as part of a small command, while the general situation becomes more and more fucked up.

That sounds like Grandfather Nurgle's M.O., honestly, but I suspect you're right that it's a clue.

Also, you sad cocks, you've had this inquisitor betrayal coming.

You went against the chief tenets of the Steel Legion and abandoned your comrades in times of need, preferring to hide in metal bawkses.

So in turn you were abandoned.

    Good riddance. FEWLS.

Heresy? Betrayal? Exposing yourself to xeno substances and getting out alive? Wanton use of psychic powers? Exterminating battalions for the lulz? I wanna work for this guy. He seems the subtle collargrabbing type.

Feeling pity for killing an innocent man is one thing. Seeing evidence you wanted disposed of coming back from the dead to bite you in the ass is something else. I don't think the =I= guy will take kindly to our refusal to die and stay dead.

If the inquisitard is looking to rid himself of us, what exactly would've stopped him from airstriking the promethium refinery with napalm once we were inside? It would've been an even nearter way to kill off all the evidence.
Also, I'd love to see those chief tenets of yours. Lexicanum doesn't list them, neither does Only War.

    I am the law :troll:

    The AdMech, for one thing.

And second, he'd probably think 'lulz they're so dead' and stop thinking about it any further.

It makes sense that we're a weak willed private that had the chance to kill the Inquisitor but didn't. "Oh but if we wait we might get another chance later", "we have a fate point to help us" well we didn't, some people tried to plan this out way too much. You get an excuse to take out a guy that doesn't really care about you, you take it immediately.

I say go Left and let's bury the hatchet on the Inquisitor.

True servant of the Throne would not hesitate to blam the Heretic... even =I= but :codexisfor:
Consorting with Xenos and dabbling with Choas ALWAYS leads to Damnatiation, and all Radicals end up as excomunicated traitors, sooner or later. Let's do the right thing and Contact Commissar, He can blam us true (and he probably should).... but He is only one trained to deal with corruption properly... take RIGHT.

Guadsmen that survive the horrors or the 41st millenium aren't the ones most proficient in combat, or those that are simply smart or handsome. They are the lucky ones, who stood at the right point in a battle, had a lucky hit on a stronger opponent or were lucky enough to be granted mercy, where none should have been expected.

Personally, I don't think the Inquisitor is tainted at all. He got rid of almost all witness who most certainly died in the refinery, and now he tried to get rid of us too. He wants to be left alone, considering he didn't even tell us something about the enemy that caused the whole situation, even though he certainly knows what we're facing. Which basically means it is something that should be kept low profile. Although the comissar is more likely to be a BRO, it's no big deal for our friend Nils to get rid of him too, especially after meeting up with us. He'll just claim that the comissar is tainted aswell, or pull some psyker shit again, and thats that. The LG on the other hand may not believe us, but we don't need him to. Considering that his whole ship, and probably the whole planet is at stake here, and so far there's only been little information at all, he will either be informed what caused the whole mess down on the planet by the Inquisitor himself, or he'll be taking into account every little piece of information he can get his hands onto. Either way, there's plenty of room for a single guardsmen to get a second chance, and the LG probably knows more about the shit the Inquisition pulls off every thursday than anyone else on this ship. Or I'm totally wrong.

Also, I don't think the Inquisitor had the little breach in his power armor that caused this whole shit repaired yet, so there might be some proof to support our story.

Btw, what happened to the provost that apparently got hit by the psychic attack aswell, or atleast felt some of it?

We still can't hope to bust him in legal way, as he is still =I= and we don't know any Lord Inquisitor. Lord General may grand us asylum as he can use us in his political play with Inquisition and Mechanicus... and he can sell our ass to them as well... Stupid or too scrupulus people don't raise to his rank and we realy don't have much for him to offer. Commissar is being both sympathetic to us and above petty politics... I wonder If this was him saving our ass after fraging our CO.

The problem is: will the Lord General risk the Inquisitor's wrath by protecting us or will he say "good job, soldier. glad you reported to me. BLAM!"?

I think he's more likely to send us somewhere where we can die to the real enemy, compared to the comissar who already risks his life by just talking to us. Revenge, if it's what you want, is pretty much impossible. Agern is an Inquisitor and nobody on this ship is able to even scratch him unless he grows tentacles out of his forehead. The Inquisitor doesn't want us to die, he just wants us out of his way for the foreseeable future. Letting us die simply is the easiest way to accomplish that. Thats why when shit hits the fan they just order an Exterminatus after they gathered their intel. The least we can do is inform the LG ourselves instead of sending our commisar who will likely get shot for not shooting us when we first talked to him, and inform him. After that, we're at his mercy, but at least we know that the LG will keep an eye on the Inquisitor in case he actually is tainted and is starting some insane shit, so our fellow guardsmen on this ship aren't screwed immediately, and we don't pull our comissar or other squadmates into the shit with us.
