How did you actually manage to blow me up with my own explosives set to blow after FIVE TURNS?!

i hate poles.

Grenade turns are the sum of your turns and the alien's turns. You could divide the turns by 2 and round down to estimate how many turns you have left to move away, but I tend to prime to 0 and use a throwing chain to get it where I want immediately. By setting it to 5, you rigged it to explode after two of your turns (and after the aliens have moved). Also, you need Pulse Wave Torpedoes to crack the outer hull of a USO (door excluded).

Other than that : I am still alive ! And despite blowing everything up, you manage to recover the ship almost intact ! I can't wait for the first terror mission, if you manage not to kill a single civilian, you're the master of explosions :twisted:

What's the downed sub ? If it's very small or small, it's not worth it, except maybe for some money, but you can always sell some sonic weapons for that. Go for it if it's a medium one, you could recover some Thermal Shock Launchers that would make future encounters with the stronger aliens much easier.

XComUtil has a setting that will let you use demo packs to blast new doors into subs (and other things.)

Long, cool story:
I wanted to replay Freespace 2 with those fancy gfx mods. But I forgot how FS1 ended so I wanted to do it too. But that would take way too much time. So I opted for a TFTD replay. Now that I remember how much lies before me - and leaving my shitty one lines (since I am by no means a decent writer) takes 30 minutes - I honestly decided to abandon this LP but with style.
Game is too easy anyhow since the AI is braindead.

You just have shitty TU points. And you end up at the end of the sub. So when you out, the action is over or you are way to far away. But fear not, the next tac. mission after terror1 you will lead!
