A moment later, a Reaper was spotted by HWP 2. The tank fired at it and missed. HWP 1 also moved towards it and missed as it fired at it.

Terrible! X-Com Platoon 4 has lost most of troops sent on the mission and most of civilians were killed by the alien terrorists.

My explosions are simply wonderful.

Here's how I make them:
I take weapon power and 1-3 tiles from the epicentre I divide it by 2 each tile. Then 4-20 tiles from the epicentre I divide them 1,2 per tile. Then 21+ tiles I divide them by 1,1 per tile.

So, an alien grenade starts out with 7200, 1 tile further is 3600, 2 tiles 1800, 3 tiles 900, 4 tiles 750, 5 tiles 625, 6 tiles 520, 7 tiles 430, 8 tiles 360, 9 tiles 300, 15 tiles 101, 20 tiles 48, 25 tiles 30, 30 tiles, 18.

In comparison, the old code decremented the explosion power by 10 per tile, so for example a Blaster Bomb with power of 200 and Blast Radius of 10 would end up with damage of 100 at the edge of the blast.
With my formula the old blaster bomb would do 8 damage on the edge of the blast which makes much more sense.
