X-Com started methodically picking off aliens using heavy weapons. About 40 seconds into the mission two alien creatures attacked tanks in meelee. Luckily the reinforced alien alloy armour held out against their assault.

Both aliens were killed with tank fire, grenade and heavy cannon fire.
One soldier was badly wounded by an explosion and needed medical attention.

A large UFO was detected on 29th April, together with an Alien Base.

It was caught over China by Interceptors from China and damaged, making it crash-land.

Another UFO - a very large one was spotted over China. It was intercepted by the returning interceptors.

Both interceptors were destroyed with before they got into a missile range.

X-Com Platoon 1 was assigned to assault the crash-landed UFO.

Platoon 1 also has received new equipment.

Initial situation. The alien ship was just a burned-out shell.

A grenadier saw an alien here and shot him.

The final alien emerged from the smoke near the downed UFO and killed a soldier near him. The plasma blast resulted in death of the alien.

X-Com Platoon 2 was assigned to assault the Alien Base on the same day.

Initial deployment:
Squad 1 in the West and Squad 2 in the Centre. A machine-gunner is moving through area cleand with HWP fire to re-join the Squad 1.

 

[Awor Szurkrarz]

A moment later, a plasma blast was fired at Squad 1. HWP was destroyed and one soldier died. Another was badly wounded.
