Anyway, succubi and incubi.

They are what is often called dream demons. However, this is a misnomer. All spirits are, in one way or another, dream demons. As in, they lie just outside the structure of reason and intellect. For you to see them, you have to peek outside the structure. And it is the same if you want to interact with them. This is why 'altered states of consciousness' are so important when dealing with the spirits. And to sleep and to dream, it is an altered state of conciousness everyone has available to them by default and without investing any points into Sorcery skill trees.

There is something interesting about dreams in general, and about lucid dreams in particular. For your mind and for your body, they are real. Literally. As in, if you have a lucid dream in which you have a glorious lesbian threesome with JiYeon and HyoMin, your nervous system, and your chemistry, and your hormones, and so on, it will all react to every single event as if it were truly happening, so if JiYeon gives you one glorious tongue while HyoMin ravenously eats your bust, your body and your mind, they will experience this not in an abstract manner but step by step, and every nerve will flare, and every chemical reaction will trigger, and so on, as if right now, your body was being assaulted by two thirds the holy trinity in exactly such a way, with a few exceptions - For example, your heart rate, it will remain constant, and your body, it will be 'locked', so that when your brain sends your arm the signal, tap that, your arm does not actually go and taps that, yet in the lucid dream, you are tapping that.

This may seem as a random tangent, but it is not.

When you interact with a spirit, you are in one way or another going outside the structure, or peeking outside the structure. Let us say, you call forth a demon. At first, nothing happens. Then, you begin to perceive the demon, not as a somebody but a somethingie, emanating from the sigil. Do you know what you have to do then? Close your eyes, and relax your mind, and take in that which is emanating from the sigil. And then, *poof*, one moment there is nothing but the blackness behind your eyes, and the next, you see as if your eyes were open, yet there, in front of you, is the demon standing. In many cases you don't even need to close your eyes - One moment you are here, looking at a sigil from which something emanates, and the next the world has gone surreal, and a demon is standing in front of you.

This is important. Seeing and interacting with the spirits, it always feels like you are having a lucid dream, only, you are awake, and your body, it isn't locked up. And pay special attention to that part, the one about the world going surreal - This is exactly what it happens when you take a step to the side, and you slide from 'our' world to 'their' world. Those layers of reality, they are a matter of perception, so that one moment you are here, and the next, you are still here, but everything is different, and everything is... weird. And when you open the door outside your room, you do not see the corridor as it should be, but something strange and different, and there are things out there, which look back at you.

That's why I said this, that all spirits, they are all, in some way, dream demons. As in, succubi and incubi, they are not demons which appear to you in dreams, it is merely, you are only in dreams, unless you have learned of a different method, able to perceive their presence and interact with them, so that for a Normie, who knows not of a method other, they only come in dreams, and thus, they are of dreams.

Moving on, it is also wrong to say, spirits have a sex, because spirits, they do not have a body to begin with. The physical form and shape of a spirit are, at least in most cases, a reflection of the spirit itself, so that, when a spirit appears as female, it is either because the spirit did choose to appear as female, or because to appear as female, it has a symbolic meaning, which reflects the nature of the spirit. Some have said, the symbolism is completely subjective. So that, when you meet a demon or spirit, the shape which you perceive, it is actually created by your own mind, and not by the spirit. However, of this I do not know - For example, in medieval times it was believed, all of the fallen angels, they were male or asexual, yet a particular demoness, Marchosias, would always appear as a she-wolf, and would only take on a male or asexual shape, when asked by the summoner to take on human form, so that we may wonder, why it is she always appears as a she-wolf, even when the summoner expects a male or asexual being? Some instead say, spirits have a gender but have no sex, but that's only a maybe.

So when we talk of Incubi and Succubi, we are not talking of spirits which are male and female in nature, but of spirits which are sexual in nature. As in, their shape, it is an embodiment of forbidden lust and desire - Your own. So if you are a closet lesbian and you call forth a succubus, she will not appear to you as JungJiHoon, but she will appear to you as that which you truly desire, and you will not be able to resist, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself, you are not a lesbian. And if you are a gay dude, you may call forth a succubus, yet in the end, instead of JiYeon, you will get JungJiHoon, and no matter how closeted you are, you will be unable to resist, and will have to come to terms with how much you want to lick those abs and get the little Rain up the backdoor.

So, when you are calling forth incubi and succubi, you are not calling forth a sexy guy or a sexy girl, you are calling forth the very embodiments of forbidden desire and unbound lust. Hell, you may get a giant boar with a twelve inch dick. Or a tentacle monster. Yum, yum. Tentacle monster. :hug:

I even know of one, who when calling forth such thingies, ended up with a couple of twin girls, ten years old at most. At first, he was, like, no, this is wrong! I never asked for this! And then, he was - I may have not asked for this, and this may be so very very wrong, yet... It is so very very right as well! And then had much fun, and never looked back.

But then, you are making one other mistake. It is a very common mistake, but it is still a mistake. As in, you are thinking of them as humans - And the spirits, they are not human. Not even ghosts are human. This is why I have been calling them the 'other.' Because that's what they are - Alien beings, things other than human. So when you ask, how do they select their victim, it is kind of implied, you are thinking kind of like a human - As in, how does an Incubus pick his prey? Are the incubi boob people or ass people? Do they prefer aggressive girls or do they prefer them submissive? What kind of neck, legs, shoulders, and hips do they favor? And so on.

As far as I know, they do not care about that. Because, what they are doing, it is feeding. They did not pick you because you are sexy or irresistible, they did pick you because your lust and desire, it is like a beacon for them, and they come, because to fuck, it is their nature, and lust, and sex, and desire, it is their essence, and that of which they take substenance and power. If you pay attention, succubi and incubi, they often come, by their own will, to those who are sexually repressed and frustrated, those who beneath the surface are bubbling with lust and desire, yet who cannot satisfy it, for this reason, or that reason - Cultural, social, personal, and so on.

Do you want to know the best way to protect yourself from succubi and incubi? You do not need spells, nor rituals, nor amulets, nor talismans. No. You need to masturbate a whole lot. If there is no accumulated desire and lust for them to feed on, they care about you as much as you care for a stone when you are hungry. This doesn't mean they want to kill you. They just want to eat you. Which, given we are talking of pure sex and desire and lust given sentience, it's not a bad thingie at all.

Which also works the other way around. Do you want to call forth a succubus or an incubus? Porn. Lots and lots of porn. Hardcore porn. No, scratch that. Hardcore fetish porn. Surround yourself by it. Watch lots of vids that really turn you on. Play lots of sick Japanese games that really turn you on. Collect lots and lots of images and photos that really turn you on, and dwell on them. Work yourself to a frenzy, but don't relieve yourself. You can't masturbate. What you can do, is play with yourself until you are OMG I AM ABOUT TO COME - And then you stop. That will build some frustration.

Hell, live like that for three weeks and you will be so horny I will probably feel it from here. Then you can try calling forth succubi or incubi. As in, ding dong, dinner's ready, come and FUCK ME SILLY TO GET IT.

This is something most people don't understand about calling forth spirits. Let us say, you want to call forth Andras. Andras is a very dangerous demon to call forth. He, or some say she, is a demon related mostly to assasination and murder. And we are not saying, like, Assasin's Creed like assasinations. As in, we are not talking backstabbing and poison. We are talking, like, murdering people by throwing lots and lots of violence at them. With a sword. A big one. Like, really really big. He is also one of the most chaotic and anarchic demons in the whole Ars Goetia. To call him is to risk he pretty much going around murdering everyone you care for. Did you make a mistake? Watch Andras murder your wife, and your son, and your lord, and your servant, and your mentor, and your father, and...

For some reason, he rarely tries to kill the Sorcerer himself or the Witch herself, which has lead some to believe, he is also a demon of, well, freedom. As in, what are your wife, and your son, and your lord, and your servant, and your mentor, and your disciple, and your parents, and all that? For the true left hand, they are chains. So Andras, it is said he is actually helping you when he does so - He is a demon who KILLS SHIT, and thus uses KILLING SHIT to teach you an important lesson about the true left hand. This is kind of reinforced by some believing him/her/it to be related to an old goddess of murderers and zealots.

So Andras is dangerous. And many Sorcerers wonder, why would someone call Andras forth?

That's exactly why they shouldn't call Andras forth.

The more spectacular and powerful method to call a demon is simply to have them WANT to come to you. As you said, it is to become irresistible for them. How do you become irresistible to them? By being as they are. So, let us say, you are ever in a situation where the answer to the question, what would Andras do, that's exactly what you want to do. And not only WANT to do, but NEED to do and WILL do. You are not calling forth Andras because you are too weak or timid to do it yourself. You are calling Andras because YOU WILL MURDER THE FUCK OUT OF EVERYONE, and these are not merely words or fantasies, but what you will do. Fact.

Then go ahead and call Andras. Why would he not come? Why would he not help you? You and him, both are the same. Your nature, it has become like Andras' own. In the entire world, there is no more fertile ground for his seed, there is no soul more receptive to his teachings and his essence. You are already half a step away of reaching gnosis with the sentience we call Andras. All you need to do is invite him in and open the door.

This is important to keep in mind when it comes to Sorcery. As in, for example, to kill with Sorcery, it is no different than to kill with your hands. If you do not have the will to kill, you can´t kill through Sorcery. The moment in which you call forth the demon or burn your victim's effigy, it is simply the moment in which you pull the trigger. If you were looking into your victim's eyes, if he was whimpering and pissing himself right in front of you, would you be able to pull the trigger? If the answer is yes, truly and honestly yes, then your Sorcery can kill him. If your answer is not so, then your Sorcery can't do shit. After all, what we call Sorcery is simply IT reshaping reality in accordance to your will. Without the will, there is no Sorcery.

And this is one of the great boons of Sorcery. Because all of you, you believe you are this or that. But you aren't this nor that, but something else. And Sorcery, it will show you what you truly are - Behind the delusion of civilization, and morality, and philosophy, and blah, and meh, and bleep. Once you have begun to practice Sorcery, you can no longer hide from it. No matter how hard you try.

But this brings us to the topic of today.

We were going to talk about dolls, were we not? So here you are. You have spent two months ODing yourself on hardcore fetish porn. You are horny as fuck. You want dick right nao. Nah, scratch that. You want dick tentacles right nao. Two dozens of dick tentacles, covered in little worm mouths which suck and lick and bit all over, and little eyes which shamelessly contemplate how much of a dirty whore you are, because for those eyes to contemplate how much of a dirty whore you are, it makes you even hornier. By this point, your mind is breaking down. If you don't get some RAIT NAO, you are going insane.

Welcome to the next level of dolliemancy!

Because, yes, you could easily call forth succubi or incubi in such a state. Yet, why would you want to do that, when you can create your own? You see, a Witch, she has the ability to birth spirits unto the world. These spirits, they are called Tulpas when they are created through Tibetan techniques, and they are called Servitors when they are created through Chaoist techniques, and they are called Elementals when they are created through Hermetic techniques, and they are called Shikigami in Onmyodo, and so on, with the caveat both 'Elementals' and 'Shikigami' are not exclusive to spirits we give birth ourselves. Some Hermetists, thus, have separated elementals into 'elementar', which are the spirits of the elements, and 'elemental' which are those they create themselves. Similarly, you can use a doll to create a shikigami but you can also use a doll to give body to a shikigami you did not create yourself but instead recruited.

Tulpas and Servitors, however, are always created and never natural - If you ever go for a walk and, tururu, a wild tulpa appears! Then it is a 'rogue' Tulpa or a 'rogue' Servitor, as in, they either escaped their master's control or were given freedom by its master.

Since we are discussing basic terminology, let us also discuss Familiars and Larvae.

A Familiar is a spirit which was not given birth by the sorcerer, but obtained one way or another - For example, the Sorcerer asked an infernal lord for a familiar, and thus received one of his or her or its legionaires as an assistant. It follows, a Familiar is nothing such as a Tulpa or a Servitor. If a Witch says, this is my Familiar, I created her, then she's bloody dumb, because that's a servitor or a tulpa, and not a Familiar.

A larva meanwhile is just as a Servitor or a Tulpa, but it was created either by accident or by ambience. This is far more common than it should be, and thus it is one of the main arguments in favour of the 'everyone has at least a little bit of IT' theory. Either that, or Sorcerers are a total psychobabbling mess.

However, a spell which acquires sentience by accident is NOT a larva. It is a particular kind of 'rogue' entity - So it is closer to a rogue Tulpa or a rogue Servitor than to a Larva proper. There is not proper word for these entities, so we will call them 'Spellies' from now on.

In the same way, an item which acquires a spirit of its own is neither a Servitor nor a Tulpa nor a Larva, even if it is similar to both. It is a Tsukumogami. This includes Dolls and Swords, no matter what other Sorcerers may tell you. They are dumb, so they are wrong. I am cuter and prettier and leggier, so I am right.

But don't be an ass. Tsukumogami include neither plant spirits nor animal spirits, nor any other natural spirit. The spirit of a particular lake, it is not a Tsukumogami. Only 'items' can become Tsukumogami - A broom, a hat, a sword, and so on.

Moreover, an 'item' which has been used to embody a spirit or which has been possessed by a spirit is NOT a Tsukumogami either. A possessed umbrella, it is a possessed umbrella and not a Kasaobake. An umbrella which has grown its own spirit, it is a Kasaobake and not a possessed umbrella.

Also, if you help a plant spirit or an animal spirit grow, that makes it neither a Servitor nor a Tulpa nor a Larva. It is merely a plant spirit or an animal spirit to whom you lended a paw. And if you give birth to a Tulpa or a Servitor who looks like an animal or a plant, that does not make it a plant spirit or an animal spirit either. A plant spirit and an animal spirit, however, can become Familiars, while a Servitor can't. Well, maybe it could, if you were to recruit a 'rogue' one, but that's semantics mostly.

That should cover the basics.

So, back to dolliemancy.

You are really, really, really horny, aren't you? I mean, if you have been doing what I wrote about before, and you have been doing it for a while, you are.

So you now you are going to get a dolly. As usual, it can be a paper dolly or a straw dolly, or a wax dolly, or a cloth dolly, or a plushie, or a creepy dolly, or a french dolly, or anything dolly-ish you want. Be careful with plushies - You don't want the spirit of concentrated sex, and lust, and desire you are going to birth into the world, look like a panda. Or maybe you want. Who am I to judge? I have done far worse.

You can make a super hot life sized wax dolly, and it is said, such dollies are the most powahful, but that may be kind of overdoing it. Just pick a dolly which kind of reflects that which you find desireable in a partner. So, like, if you are really into, say, me, you need to look for a dolly which looks kind of like me, which is one of the reasons you are never, ever, going to know how I look. The last thingie I want is a mini-me doomed to screw Codex people for all eternity.

Ewww.

If you are into making dollies, it would be good for you to make it yourself. However, do not just 'make' it. As in, do not go through the motions. Put everything into that dollie - All the lust, all the desire, all the sexual frustration, all the blah, all the meh, and so on. If you are just going to buy a dollie, pick one that really 'clicks' - One you see and say, bleeping wow, if you were real, I would be, like, OMG, SO HOT.

With a straw doll, or a paper doll, it will be harder. You need to find a way to customize it, symbolically. And as you customize it, you need to pour, etc. Once you have your dollie, you will give it a name. As with the dollie itself, the name has to be one the sound and implications of which turn you on. It has to be a smexy name. This name you did pick, you will give it to your dollie through a saining ceremony, or a baptizing ceremony, or some such ceremony. This is key - From this moment onwards, you will act as if the dolly, it were alive. And thus, you have to give it a name as if it were a real person. And at the end of the ceremony, you will breath into its, uhm... sexy, waxy lips? Those. And you will not just breathe into it, but you will breathe 'life' into it - You will concentrate your will, and you will concentrate all those thingies you have been pouring into it, and you will concentrate your own life into that breath. And then, you will call it by its name, and call it to wake up.

As I said, from that moment on, you have to act as if your dollie, it was a real person. At the very least, every night before you go to bed, you will talk to it. Moreover, you will talk to it like you would talk to the dearest and hottest lover. You will tell it of the things you would like to, uhm, do, ahem, together, and you will tell it of what thingies which turned you on happened during the day, and how those made you think of it, and so on. And again, you will pour it all into it. And at the end of it, you will breathe once again into its sexy waxy lips, just as you did before, and you will once again call it by its name, and tell it to wake up.

And so on, and so on, and so on. Be creative. As I said once and again, this is just the loose framework. Customize it, have fun with it, etc.

However, there is one thingie which is super duper mega hyper uber important. When you talk to it, and when you call it to wake up and come to you, and so on, you must always, ALWAYS, look into its eyes, if it has eyes. If it doesn't have eyes, then draw a couple of little eyes into it. This is VERY important. Why is it important? I don't bloody know, but it is important.

Anyway, continue like that for a while, and if you have IT at all, man, you are for one hell of a surprise.

However, keep this in mind, and it is important, so don't just pay me lip service, which sounds, like, totally wrong given the topic today. Anyway, keep this in mind, and so on, that such thingies as this dollie, they shouldn't be done carelessly. You are not creating a fucktoy. You are creating a sentient entity, and independently of how sick it may sound, it is not only your super duper hot lover but also your son or your daughter. Keep it well fed, pay attention to it, and so on.

Also, the more you feed it and the more you talk to it and the more power you breathe into it and so on, the more powerful and the smarter it will become. One of such spirits, which is truly powerful, it is truly magnificent. While at first you will merely feel their presence and only interact with them in dreams, as they grow in power they will gain both volition and presence.

And, this is important too, don't piss them off. These spirits, they tend to be possessive. The more powerful they become, the more possessive they become as well. This isn't a problem if you are happy with having a spirit lover and that's it, but it can't get, uhm, problematic if you later decide to get a human one, and it can get UBER CREEPY if you decide to throw it away. Think creepy stalky possessive rapey ex, but with super powers.

Also, remember I have yet to teach you how to cast circles, raise barriers, banish stuffies, and so on, so you are pretty much a sitting duck if you piss it off.

However, it is also important to point the personality of such spirits is based on mainly two thingies - First, what you create them from. Second, your own nature and personality. So, in this particular case, their personality would be defined by lust, and desire, and fetishes, and so on, but also by your own nature. The spirits a cruel witch gives birth to, they will be cruel as well. Maybe not to the witch herself, but still... In the same way, the sexual spirits a witch who has a fetish for dominating partners will be dominating, and so on. After all, they are embodiments of lust, and desire, and fetishes - Your own, and no one else's.

So that's it for today.

I will try to keep the lessons shorty so I can write more of them. Next time I'll talk of the unbound shadows, and a bunch of other thingies. Maybe we will begin with circles, and barriers, and banishings, and stuffies... Or maybe not, because that's pretty boring stuff. Probably we will learn more about spirits, and dollies, and so on. The fun stuffies.

The oracle Areum lives. She updated about her birthday a month or two ago, but now seems to have deleted it along with other recent thingies, only leaving her earlier communications behind. Mysterious are her ways.

How does one get incubus'd against one's will by an undesired form? Is it like, one wanted something like that while sleeping, before the Apollonian structure came back and one said "what the hell is this, stop molesting me you filthy thing damnit", and "kimochi" as well, and afterwards decided by the structure that it was undesired?

I'm off to look for a Sunhwa dollie now. Thanks for answering. :love:

I will be gone for a while. No less than a month. Maybe longer. I did want to write one more lesson before leaving, but I did not manage to finish it in time. Sorry about that.

If you have been following this, I want you to take this time to get up to speed. First, I want you to read through the thread once or thrice. Just to make sure you understand everything so far. Also, to make sure you don't mistakes with the rest of this homework thingie.

When I come back, I want decoys to be second nature to you, and for you to have a very personal method to create them as well. The one should follow the other. As in, if you create many, you will begin to develop a very personal method.

I also want for the so called LARP method to be second nature to you. When I come back, I want you to be familiar and comfortable with it. As in, practice it, until the character becomes alive, and until you are able to slip in character at will, and until you own the character. Or you can become familiar and comfortable with the OUCHIE method, if you prefer. My recommendation? Go with the LARP method.

Finally, I expect you to use lots and lots of Sorcery. With dolls. A month or three should be enough for you to get at least some clear successes. You should prepare some basic symbolic circuits in advance, which you can easily customize. As with the decoys, your symbolic circuits will grow and become more complex and personal as you use them. But remember to always carry a few ready to use blank dolls with you. I don't want you to waste opportunities.

However, and this is important, the sexy doll, it isn't part of this homework. As in, you can create one if you want, but you shouldn't feel obligued to do so. As I said, they aren't the kind of thingie you should do on a whim, and they can also become dangerous.

About the Kinzo method, use it if you want to or if you need to, but it isn't really part of this homework. That's not something you should use just to practice, for as I said, it is only as powerful as the bet is meaningful and dangerous.

And that's all.

And remember, if you have posted at least once in this thread, you are considered to be one of my super duper cute and clumsy pupils, which means, if I decide to go totally nyahahahahahaha and take a surprise test at random while I am gone, you want those decoys up and running.

Maybe I should call forth a Great Lord, give him a list, and tell him to try and kill each one on the list just once.

As I read this thread, I am holding a sword I forged myself earlier this year. It has a name that I do not intend to divulge publicly. I don't know if you would consider it 'just' a decoy or a full dollie but, in the words of the immortal Vandemar, "We hurt people; we don't get hurt". If Sorcery is about belief then I believe your magic will not affect me. Note, I do not say "cannot". It is more subtle than that.

This morning I had my regular juiced orange with a teaspoon of sugar mixed in.

First shaping the orange into a decahedron I threw the rinds off my porch above the garden into the winds. Next I sit running my fingers over the zesty ridges contemplating what lay ahead of me for my day, which emotions and energy I would need to have to perform optimally in my tasks. Carving different smiley's and other symbols into the faces of the orange Im ready to juice and grabbing it so as to leave the unmarked face the first to hit the juicers tip, slam it down. Patiently extracting as much juice as possible, pinching some pulp and spooning an even spoon of sugar the juice is ready and I sip watching the sun rise through the window. Finished, I throw the remaining refuse to the garden, clear my thoughts, and set forth to conquer

I still haven't decided what to teach you next. There is no structure to this. I teach whatever I feel like writing a wall of text about that day. Maybe it is something directly or indirectly related to what I have been researching lately, or maybe I just watched a cute Kpop video and decide to teach something with an extremely flimsy connection to it, or maybe someone asked something which remind of something cool, and so on. And to be honest, I don't feel like teaching about summoning right now. I'm not into it at this time.

Also, I have some private conversations related to this thread to answer before I continue. I kind of left them hanging because I was busy, and it would be improper to continue the thread before going back to them.

I've gotten this a few times before, in such cases that it seems to amount to a rule: being ignored by those who seem to be well connected supernaturally, as if merely communicating with me is a huge effort and against their fate. Target. Isolate.

But Sorcery has yet another purpose, and it is that through doing both, through turning delusion into truth and twisting reality in your image, you will have no choice but to begin to grasp what reality truly is and what Sorcery truly implies. Even if you don't want to. Hell, I know I didn't want to.

Hint: This little game of mine's genre is Cosmic Horror.

BTW, I thought it was only the right hand path clairvoyants and magicians who failed to use their powers/lives for personal profit (such as due to being told by "higher powers" not to do so), but the left hand path seems to have its own issues preventing them from utilising their lives in non-trivial ways (except from their subjective points of view perhaps - but that's the whole point of a distraction: it looks so very not like a distraction from the subjective point of view of the victim, but actually looks like a huge distraction to everyone else).

But enough silliness. Back to the topic at hand.

It is impossible for the Left Hand to have a purpose which is not entirely selfish. In other words, it is impossible for the Left Hand to engage in an activity from which it will not profit. However, you are misunderstanding the idea of profit. You are falling in the very mistake I mentioned in the previous post: Sex! Wealth! Popularity!

The reason because of which Sorcerers tend to outgrow these things is not because they are 'profit' but because they are 'mundane.' You are getting your kicks elsewhere. You are playing on a different board. You know there are things vaster and greater.

When I began dancing, I watched Idols dance and I wished I could become such a fine dancer as they were, some day. I took dancing quite seriously, and it was one of my main interest and pursuits ever since. Today I can call myself a dancer without bitting my tongue, and when I watch Idols dance... There are a few who are truly great dancers, and whose dancing I love and admire. There are some who aren't nearly that good, but who make up for it through really creative choreographies and an overdose of both energy and charm. Those I find cute, and I enjoy their dancing for what it is. But most of those bitches are not even trying. They are bad. Really bad. Including some of those I actually admired before I knew better.

Does this mean I am now a selfless person? Does this mean I now dance to make others happy, instead of for my own pleasure and for the influence being a good dancer gives you over others? There is no link between the two.

It is impossible for me to be selfless. I don't know whether I picked the Left Hand or the Left Hand picked me, but the choice has been made. I will never do something which does not benefit me far more than it benefits others, either directly or indirectly. It is impossible for me. My Sorcery fizzles if I even try.

I can heal someone. Healing sorcery is in general the one in which I have obtained the most dramatic results, and the one which has triggered the witchtime the most. Does that make me selfless? One who walks the Right Hand Path? No. I am unable to heal someone whose continuous existence is not directly benefitial to me. Once, my dad was very sick. I love my dad. The doctors couldn't help him, so I did it myself.

Do you know what I fed my Sorcery with?

If my dad dies now, I will not be able to move back to Seoul this year and it will be harder for my family to accept me there. I was desperate. The very idea of having to keep living in the west was sickening. I was decided to kill myself if I was to be forced to stay in the west even a single day more than I had planned. All of that, it went to my Sorcery. The love I feel for my dad, it was merely an echo. Background noise. PS: I kind of love him, too.

I broke reality.

Big time.

It was one of the most dramatic results I ever got. To this day I still believe that particular result was one of the reasons my grandmother was so eager to accept me back into the family even when I am a 'half-breed westerling whore' who has to 'prove herself' to her.

Some people find it hard to understand the Left Hand.

They believe we can't use 'nice' Sorcery. That we only curse and seduce the innocent, that we seek merely to attain immanent pleasure, and power, and wealth without going through the 'sweat of our brows' part. They find impossible to believe a dark witch can be orders of magnitude better at healing than the selfless martyrs who walk the Right Hand Path, when the price is right.

But what defines the Left Hand is not the Sorcery we are able to use, but that which feeds our Sorcery. We are able to use Sorcery the Right Hand can't, because it is Sorcery whose very existence is selfish. Sorcery which has no potential application which isn't self serving. Sorcery which is inherently cruel or sadistic. And there is Sorcery which is so dark even the Left Hand considers it forbidden, taboo, out of bounds. This is one of the reasons behind the schism between what I call the 'philosophical' Left Hand and what I call the True Left Hand.

But we can also use all the Sorcery they can.

By which I mean, the Left Hand is not merely about sex, and wealth, and power, and authority. Even less so is it merely about immanent power and authority.

We pursue knowledge when the process of discovery will bring us pleasure, and when to attain it will bring us the power implicit to being the one who knows that which is unknown. We pursue research, for it is inherent to the Left Hand to break down all barriers which constrain the self - To attain knowledge and power over that which is seen as forbidden, over that which is alien and other, over that which is monstrous and inhumane. We pursue trascendence, for what limitation is there more repugnant than that of being merely human? We pursue introspection and discovery, for what is there more beautiful and worthy of exploration than ourselves? We pursue perfection, we pursue beauty, we pursue delight, we pursue immortality, we pursue enlightment, we pursue divinity.

Sex? Wealth? Popularity? Immanent power and authority?

Sure. We all have to begin somewhere.

Still, you no longer play with toy soldiers, do you?

This brings to mind a few lines by Arthur Machen. I do not know, have I posted them already? I have dozens of half written lessons and posts, so I do not know whether I did or merely planned to do.

So,

'SORCERY and sanctity,' said Ambrose, 'these are the only realities. Each is an ecstasy, a withdrawal from the common life.'

Cotgrave listened, interested. He had been brought by a friend to this mouldering house in a northern suburb, through an old garden to the room where Ambrose the recluse dozed and dreamed over his books.

'He's grand,' he said. 'I never saw that kind of lunatic before.'

Ambrose returned with more whisky and helped the two men in a liberal manner. He abused the teetotal sect with ferocity, as he handed the seltzer, and pouring out a glass of water for himself, was about to resume his monologue, when Cotgrave broke in—

That's all, and it's more like a truism than a paradox, isn't it? Your surprise at my remark is due to the fact that you haven't realized what sin is. Oh, yes, there is a sort of connexion between Sin with the capital letter, and actions which are commonly called sinful: with murder, theft, adultery, and so forth. Much the same connexion that there is between the A, B, C and fine literature. But I believe that the misconception—it is all but universal—arises in great measure from our looking at the matter through social spectacles. We think that a man who does evil to us and to his neighbours must be very evil. So he is, from a social standpoint; but can't you realize that Evil in its essence is a lonely thing, a passion of the solitary, individual soul? Really, the average murderer, quâ murderer, is not by any means a sinner in the true sense of the word. He is simply a wild beast that we have to get rid of to save our own necks from his knife. I should class him rather with tigers than with sinners.'

'It seems a little strange.'

'I think not. The murderer murders not from positive qualities, but from negative ones; he lacks something which non-murderers possess. Evil, of course, is wholly positive—only it is on the wrong side. You may believe me that sin in its proper sense is very rare; it is probable that there have been far fewer sinners than saints. Yes, your standpoint is all very well for practical, social purposes; we are naturally inclined to think that a person who is very disagreeable to us must be a very great sinner! It is very disagreeable to have one's pocket picked, and we pronounce the thief to be a very great sinner. In truth, he is merely an undeveloped man. He cannot be a saint, of course; but he may be, and often is, an infinitely better creature than thousands who have never broken a single commandment. He is a great nuisance to us, I admit, and we very properly lock him up if we catch him; but between his troublesome and unsocial action and evil—Oh, the connexion is of the weakest.'

Eventually, if you show enough promise and don't disappoint me too much, I will even teach you things which are lost technique or at least borderline so. It is hard to tell the one from the other, for reasons which should be obvious.

Both the proper and boderline lost techniques are incredibly valuable. As a matter of fact, they are invaluable. You don't measure their worth in wealth, but in how far other Sorcerers are willing to go to learn them. How much are they willing to teach you? How many unpublished texts are they willing to let you peruse? What services are they willing to provide?

The answer tends to be, quite a lot.

Do you believe I am going, if things work out, to teach you these for free out of the goodness of my heart?

At you, not with you.

I have an agenda. It is an entirely selfish one.

I said it at the very beginning, that it is but an experiment.

However, should this matter to you?

I am telling you this because this is something else you need to learn about the Left Hand. The Left Hand is never seeing more than means to selfish ends. Our friends are. Our lovers are. Our relatives are. You, for example, are to me a potential means to an entirely selfish end. Otherwise I wouldn't even entertain the idea of teaching you something.

And still... Let us say you wish to learn Sorcery, or that you need Sorcery to attain something which is otherwise out of your reach.

Am I not merely a means to your selfish end to do so?

Let us say you truly love someone. It isn't lust nor infatuation, but love. Maybe even true love, if such a thing exists at all. To see them happy, it makes you happy. To see them sad, it makes you sad. Isn't your pursuit of their happiness merely a means to your selfish end of happiness?

And let us say you have this friend who is truly entertaining and fun to be around. When he has a serious problem, you give him a hand. Isn't this merely securing a means to your end to be entertained? In which way is this different from taking great care when handling the disk containing your favorite game?

Thus the left hand is evil. But we aren't evil out of a misguided sense of Biowarian villany. We are evil because we have to destroy the delusion which imprison us. To attain truth we must first destroy that which veils our eyes. To attain freedom we must first destroy that which chains us.

Seeing you as something more than a means to an end, for example. I would have to destroy it, if it were to happen. The way to destroy it would be to do you evil. To hurt you, maybe to kill you. In doing so, to hurt the part of me which has bought into the delusion and perceives you as something you are not. To kill it, eventually.

Yet for someone to be merely a means to a selfish end of mine does not mean we can't be friends, for example. Is there a better definition of friendship or love than two people who are the perfect fit to be the means to each other's ends, both short and long term?

You have no idea of how vast and complex the delusion which imprisons us truly is.

And the end we all share is to destroy the delusion - Not for you or for each other, but for ourselves and ourselves alone. You can stay trapped inside, for all I care. Sink or swim.

Still, I am teaching you Sorcery.

That's all which should matter to you. What can you get out of this?

If my selfish agenda does directly or indirectly benefits you, why should you care I am using you?

Which brings us back to what you wrote in your post. The left hand isn't idle hedonism. The left hand is utter selfishness and unrepentant self love. Would you love someone who is stupid? Would you love someone who is ugly? Would you love someone who is weak? Would you love someone who is affraid of her own shadow? So you must grow in understanding not to be stupid, grow in beauty not to be ugly, grow in power not to be weak, grow in confidence not to be a coward.

However, this isn't selfishness and self love in the mundane sense. The Left Hand is a path of trascendence and a mystical tradition. It is a religion, in its own strange way.

One who truly walks this path has obtained a glimpse of a perfect and divine version of herself. It is not a social, cultural, or moral perfection, but an entirely personal one, which embodies everything she truly desires to become, without regard for social mores and cultural values. And she has fallen madly in love and lust with her. It is her queen, and it is her goddess. She worships her, she lives in accordance to her will, and she pursues gnosis of her and ultimate union with her.

And as the good book says,

'No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.'

Just the same you cannot serve Her and humanity. You cannot serve Her and law, nor Her and freedom, nor Her and country, nor Her and morality.

So you serve Her, so that you can become one with Her.

Some of us believe this perfect and divine Her to be in truth the very same HER I have mentioned several times already.

Eventually, we will begin to deal with topics you may not like. Sorcery which is forbidden, taboo, out of bounds. Sorcery whose power is orders of magnitude beyond what you will have learned up to that point. And then you will see the wisdom of the Left Hand. In being able to do the things they require, we are able to use Sorcery which is impossible for those who are imprisoned in morality and such. In doing so, we can attain understanding from which those who will never experience such Sorcery are barred.

Do you not want to attain that which is unattainable?

Who but an idiot faces impossible odds without every tool at her disposal?

Evil, it happens, is merely a means to an end.

We are not evil. We use evil.

But maybe that's what means to be truly evil. I do not know.

Still, we do not spend our lives planning new evil deeds from deep inside our dark towers. We just don't make things harder for ourselves.

If you need to enter somewhere and the door is locked, you try to find another way in. If the other way means to climb three floors of vertical wall under the rain, you are better just going back to the door and kicking it down, if you are able to.

Why should it be different if the obstacle is someone instead of something? It is still merely an obstacle.

And there is something more you need to know about the Left Hand. But this will first take us to the Right Hand, for in this context there are two kinds of Sorcerers who walk the Right Hand Path. There are those who understand and accept the Left Hand is stronger, and there are those who delude themselves.

As it often happens we don't know why the Left Hand is stronger. There are innumerable theories on why it is so, and most of them are ridiculous. Still, it is so. And it goes further: The True Left Hand is stronger than the 'philosophical' Left Hand.

This begs a few questions.

There is Sorcery the Right Hand considers to be forbidden, taboo, out of bounds. Those who practice such Sorcery, the Left Hand, are stronger than those who don't.

Why is the darkest Sorcery also the strongest?

Why a 'spell' fed with friendship is far less powerful than a 'spell' fed with pure hatred, which in turn is less powerful than a 'spell' fed with ritual torture and human sacrifice?

Why is it that vibrating the fifty thousand names of God makes a spell weaker and more laborious than the moaning, and howling, and crying of orgasm or the screams of those in agony?

Why it is that those who go beyond even the Left Hand's boundary of good taste can use Sorcery in ways both the Right Hand and the Left Hand consider to be mere flights of fancy?

I'll let you ponder that.

But it is also important to say that the Left Hand does not mean you need to enjoy being a horrible person. I do not enjoy hurting people myself.

It just happens my true desire is unattainable without first attaining mastery of a particular technique which is considered out of bounds by even some of the darkest Sorcerers alive.

Or dead, for that matter.

So the choice was simple. Do I renounce to my dream or do I become a horrible person?

Let us answer with another question.

What purpose does being a nice person serves if it doesn't allow me to attain my true desire?

It is merely another obstacle.

So you destroy yourself, just as you destroy others.

I believe it all comes to this.

How far are you willing to go for that which is your true desire?

If the answer isn't 'as far as it takes' or if you don't really mean it, then you don't deserve it.

Some would even say, to enjoy evil is not the True Left Hand. The True Left Hand is to be indifferent to evil.

As they say, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.

And sometimes you have to sacrifice a few orphans to make a spell.

To see no difference between the one and the other?

That's the True Left Hand.
