The fact there is one person in the world, just one person, willing to buy something like this speaks volumes. Decline of the west indeed.

I think the fact that there's a professional writer capable of producing a novel that the aforementioned would find unacceptable is even more telling.

They'd sell fine with a ME logo on them, as long as your Asari characters exclaimed "By the Goddess!" instead of "Oh my God!" during sex scenes. Have to abide by the lore, and this was established before ME1 was even released.

Shepard gets nearly killed in a fatal accident, but is pieced together in a superior augmented form, even though he never asked for this.

    ...

    Wait a minute.

As game developers, Bioware is absolute shit.

As a game business, they are brilliant. Nerds, whether hourly bookstore employees or IT specialists, have almost nothing to spend money on besides Lady Gaga paraphernalia and hookers. By catering to them (and the recently empowered girl and faggot gamer market), they've found a way to shovel shit directly into their customers' mouths. I am impressed.

Their games don't sell that well, which is why each game gets progressively worse as they try to pander to the most amount of people.

"most blades (save for a molecular blade) can't penetrate the thick hide covering the rear of the neck," " even if the spine was severed, the krogan still wouldn't die; instead of a human-like nervous system, it has a 2nd circulatory system with an electrically conductive fluid."

Wow. The "correct" version or the lore just reads like childish attempts at "look at how KEWL Krogan are" out of Bioware (not surprising but...).

Anyone more versed in biology or such able to point out how this all makes no sense? Mohs scale comes to mind on that hide thickness.

I would have registered 50 accounts under 50 proxies in Jewtube to like that video if the retard who did it managed to both fail to burn the book and set himself on fire.

it gets better : they also live for over a thousand years and are magick biotics capable, managed to build nukes by themselves before being found by spacefaring races but for some reason they're also the super aggressive dumbfuck race, and the game says implies it isn't even a cultural thing which makes no fucking sense considering how they war and behave

I don't remember the game implying that war wasn't a cultural thing amongst the krogan at all. In fact, quite the opposite. I remember a Codex entry implying that krogan aggression and all of their redundant organ systems was pretty much a biological survival mechanism due to the harsh predators present in their homeworld. They're fighting themselves into extinction partially because they're biologically predisposed to it. There is a lot of derivative shit in the ME series, but I dunno, I thought that was kinda cool actually.

Among humans polygamy is common when resources are very high or very low. One man to many women when there's plenty, and one woman to many men when it's poor. An EXTREEME environment with limited resources would likely lead to a very aggressive way of life, much life in the middle east, and also to tougher forms of life.

There's dialogue in ME2 about that in the krogan planet... the krogan crew member also keeps talking about how violence turns him on(and he's supposed to go through a krogan ritual to get calmer IIRC, which is his loyalty quest) or something, ME1 had things implying that as well if I am remembering it right

It could have been cool if it made sense, even if clichéd

The whole "Krogans evolved to be aggressive and expansionist on an ultra-hostile planet" thing is also copied from Star Control 2. The Ur-Quan were also like that.

One of the nice touches in the Mass Effect universe is that they've taken into account how the Salarian bioweapon has affected the relations between the sexes in Krogan society (females have become a powerful and protected class, with their own clans).
Too bad they only explain this in text and never actually show you or give you a quest related to it. Bioware cannot into unusual settings and situations.

Not "nearly killed". Shepard crash lands on a planet and gets rebuilt from DNA scraped off the surface.

I never quote got how that works. Both in 5th Element and in Mass Effect 2, the reassembled individual should be a brain-dead blank slate.

Guess they ripped off Dune as well, i.e. Tleilaxu ghola tanks.

Though the gholas in Dune don't have memory of their previous lives, it needs to be unlocked.

It's as if this asshole is completely unfamiliar with the concept of retcons.

I bet his head would explode if he tried to get into comics or read the original publication of The Hobbit where Gollum was friendly and willingly gave up The Ring.

Not saying the book isn't awful, but Jesus some people complain about nothing.

Call me dumb, but isn't "genderless" exactly the same as "monogender"? I know ME fans think otherwise, but why?
