Never mind... seems this game requires DX 10/11? Didn't see this anywhere on the website although maybe I missed something blatantly obvious. I still use XP, oh well... I'll be getting a new system in about two months and switching over to Win 7 or 8 beta.

Too slow once again. I keep on rechecking this thread but it seems like others are slightly more vigilant than I am.

Okay, 3 pages of people begging keys latter, finally some screenshots! There are pics from two different biulds, and I could see a huge improvment between both, especially on the town.

I chose to do a very short and shallow LP, because the game is still in alpha and has already changed a lot in the few build I saw. Anyway, let's go!

    Title Screen!

Loading screen! I like it very much, it's good looking and short.

You start with these 3 BROS, a Tank, a Healer and a Ranged "crowdcontrol" guy (IIRC he was a DPS on the earlier biuld). Apart from the basic attacks, each dude has 3 abilities:

The Tank can slam the ground and hit enemies around, and do a wide swing in front of him. His abilities atracks enemies from the other bros.

The Ranged guy can stun enemies and throw a bomb that slows time in a targeted area.

    The Healer heals.

This is the basic interface, with 2 habilities on the (VERY small) lower bar for each bro, that you can activate with the numbers in the keyboard. The even smaller brown icons to the right are the Inventory and Crafting menus, and two other buttons that don't work for me.

The inventory is shared between the characters, and is divided in 4 areas, Weapons, Crafting (materials), Blueprints (crafting recipes) and Upgrades.

Ready for adventure, we speak with the NPCs and get our first quest: Killing rats in a basement...can't say I didn't saw this one coming.

At the basement we kill some rats....and a fucking bear! WTF?

Here I should post more screens of the basement and the other 2 quests I did on the town, but I aciddentaly overwrote the pics...sorry.

Anyway, quests completed, we proceed out of the town, into the wild!

Nice looking world map, it's very big, this is only a small part of it. I tried entering the Military Base Complex, but the game crashed. When I reloaded to go another place, RANDOM ENCOUTER!

We fight some boars on a beatiful jungle, when suddenly a pack of wolves suprised us...

Yeah, I suck. I blame it on the lack of pausing, the tank's HP started to go down fast, and I took too long to find the healer's ability. :p

A new day rises and a new biuld arrives, I boot the game again. New in this build is this Recruit/Manage party NPC, nice!

Since health regens REALLY fast when out of combat (seriously guys, slow that down), I chose to leave the healer sis behind and grab the DPS Claw bro. He can slash a enemiy for 200% weapon damage, and also do a circular slash attacking all the enemies around.

This is now a full-bro group, those wolfs don't stand a chance. :obviously:

Also new is the weapon shop, with some very expensive stuff.

Back into the world map, another Random Encouter. This map was quite large, filled with some armed thugs as enemies. Also, a pic of the loot interface.

We fought some more foes, and found a nice chest. Enemies seem kind of blind (or just assholes), I'm beating the shit out of 2 <wasteland_thugs> here, but that one in the right doesn't seem to give a damn.

I also remenber to press ESC and change the graphic settings to 1920x1080 EXTREME quality, but as you can see that made the fog of war disapear on this map...I tried not to abuse that much.

We roam some more on the world map, find another random encouter and loot a Blueprint. I learn it and open the crafting menu. Luckly I have enough materials, so I craft a "Weak Strenght Enhancement", that I equip on DPS bro.

    Optional fun text.

Back into the world map, we enter the mines, and are suddenly attacked by a huge Broelbjoern/Vildhund. I have no idea if his name is a placeholder, a joke, a real name, or just means bear in moon language.

Luckly the gun bro can stun him for a short time, because he hits hard and almost kills my tank.

A failure that the next one doesn't repeat. Asshole. But we avenge tank and try to explore more of the mine with only two guys...

...but a pack of wolfs makes a really short work of then...I then ragequit again remenber my patriotic duty and rush back to the Codex to post my impressions.

Overall the game is very fun. I really feel the lack of a pause button to better command my bros, as everytime I die is due reacting too slowly... For a pre-alpha game, is looking sweet, I'm very interested in what will be comming in the next builds. Keep on the good work. :salute:

I still don't know why they went for the cartoony look. Isn't the "broader audience" point a little obsolete in this kind of game?

thormo, I would appreciate a key as well. It's pretty much impossible to grab one with lurkers around.

Regarding the look. We believe that post apocalyptic worlds that still have life forms would be much greener and more lush than most other games. Just have a look at Tjernobyl. I think the lush color scheme makes it a bit more colorful. Another reason is to allow for more varied gameplay. We want to have a lot of varied skills and it is a bit easier to make them understandable and to fit to the world if we have a little more cartoony look.

It's not that cartoony, and it fits the setting. My "art" complain would be that it's a little bland-ish...mainly the tank and the healer models, I like the DPS one a lot. And the top-down camera makes the healer look similar to the ranged guy, but that's nitpicking...

I like the idea of a lush postapo world myself! Now that you've sent me the key, I'll be able to see how it really looks, in motion.

It looked interesting even before Felipepepe's preview. now I hope that people don't get every single key within 2 minutes of them being posted...

AND FOR THE LOVE OF ZEUS, if you activated a key, tell the rest of us so we don't waste our time.
