So, this is a great game. :D Does someone know how the fuck do I meet dwarves in this game?

There is mention of them in the lore, I meet all kinds of shit, dryads, elves, monsters, beastmen, ducks, but no fuckin' dwarves. Are there dwarves in this game that I can interact with? I could never encounter them.

Btw, setting is awesome, and too bad there are no games in that setting, especially crpgs. Are there any games with at least similar setting?

Don't remember ever encountering them.

Hm, recently I decided to replay it, and unlike all the previous tries where I bled the ducks dry, then had to tolerate their stainy spot in the middle of my pristine map, then tried to attack them and got rocks fall, everyone dies - I attacked them at once, and they disappeared from the map (although a tiny spot still remains, but no writing in there). I wonder how many secrets are still stuffed somewhere inside. Keep exploring? (particularly the mountains)

It is setting for RuneQuest/Hero Wars RPG by Chaosium and others. A couple of boardgames, too. Mongoose and Issaries are still printing books set in various ages/versions of the settings using different rulesets.

Are there any games with at least similar setting?

Celtic Tales has kinda similar heathen vibe, everyone seems to agree upon that.

BTW when you fail tribe making first time, is there a random event to do it again?

They are on a place you must lore metagame (almost) to find.

Look on the mountain chain above the of one of kero-fin, there are 2 entrances even.

Similar setting: realms of arkania, aka: Dark Eye.

ps: dwarves on this setting are a 'state of mind'.

Dwarves apparently adopt humans into 'dwarvenkind' in the setting... Also, they have a very weird regimented society based on predestination apparently.

Sorry i have you on ignore (for some reason; feel guilty).

Anyway, tribe making can be done again, as well as gaining the kingship or even taking over another tribe if you join one instead of forming them (apparently, i haven't done this).

There is a time limit when you've fucked up. Did you follow the seer prophecy of doing 8 heroquests (of different gods), or whatever it was? The clan making heroquest also helps.

i've never been able to grasp the beauty of this game. i felt it too random, or perhaps i'm too stupid to understand its rules.

There's a lot of randomness in the random encounters (well, duh) you will get, but what happens then is offen determined by previous decisions, your clan's (and leaders) stats and whatever you pick at that moment. Not all of it is directly apparent, though. However, it's usually possible to roughly determine how succesful a certain choice will be. E.g. when you have a lot of magic, choosing a appropriate, magic-centered solution will more likely result in a good outcome. Still, I think there is always a certain possibility for failure - I once got the girl with the bad omen event and although my priests said that all will be well after I had choosen a certain action, she still died a little while later.
It's pretty cool to see how your solutions will turn out eventually, and not knowing exactly what will happen is part of the fun.
There are still a lot of things i don't completely understand, either - I had a streak of bad luck in my recent game when fighting other clans, losing even fights were I should have had a strong advantage.
I sacrificed to the Ancestors, who said that one of my treasures was cursed. If that was the reason for the bad fighting I didn't find out, though, as the game ended a little while later.
Hero quests are mostly determined by your knowledge of the myth (and whether you choose the right answers) and, again, the stats of the person undertaking the quest.
