Looking good, it's obviously more of the same but in this case that's a good thing.

Everything looks a lot more polished, graphics are nice and clear. The game has some nice SFX but nothing too invasive as far I could tell from this video. The gunplay looks as solid as ever, the zeds and gore look cool, the animations are a lot better now.

I didn't see signs of the popamole, no hit confirmation markers or any of that crap, I do hope the UI can be tweaked because I truly despise those constant button prompts.

I will probably buy KF2 during a sale because I dislike paying more than 25€ for a non-boxed game and because I want to be sure Tripwire doesn't go down the micro-transaction, (non-cosmetic) DLC milking route. I also want to be certain that the game runs well.

It's great that they released a gameplay video but I hope they mute their microphones next time, I want to hear the sound effects and music of the game instead of those guys.

Not a fan of the HP bars but I'm assuming those go away on harder difficulties.
Afaik it's just commando stuff, like KF1, for example if you check at 4:30 zerk doesn't see enemies hp.

Ah yeah I forgot about that. It's been a long time since I played KF. (Actually leveled up all the classes, too, though I preferred Medic as I was pretty crafty with the heals.)

I'm actually glad they didn't show off the new boss. Keep things mum for players to discover.

I agree though for KF2 i'm going to make an excepion (first it's the only multy i'm playing a lot and with friends).... Though i hope to not spend more than 25, maybe with a bit of discount for early acces...

Killing Floor 2 release date revealed

Killing Floor fans, and fans of killing astonishing amounts of digital monsters more generally, rejoice! After months of waiting, Tripwire Interactive has announced that Killing Floor 2 will hit Steam Early Access on April 21.

Work is ongoing, but the Early Access release will be very much along the lines of what we saw in last week's PC Gamer Show hands-on, with four classes, three maps, and something in the neighborhood of 11 monsters. It will sell for $30/₤20/€27.

Set in the immediate aftermath of Killing Floor, Killing Floor 2 takes place on continental Europe, which has been engulfed by a rapidly-spreading viral outbreak that turns its victims into ravenous, flesh-eating mutants. With society on the verge of collapse, civilians and mercenaries team up to establish bases, track outbreaks, and deliver the only cure proven to work: sticky, red-hot death.

Want to know more? Have a look at our breakdown of the first four classes that will appear in the game, and check out a couple more gameplay videos, including one at the Hell on Earth difficulty.

$30 is about what I figured. Thought they might even go higher. Good price. Will probably grab depending on what kind of state it's in.

I'm probably going to buy it although I only played the first one like five times (always late to the CDS party).

It will be 5 bucks with the first 14 pieces of DLC within a few months. Will wait for the price to sink like a rock.

Steam Early Access on April 21.
:dead:

Still probably gonna D1P. Especially if they do group buys again. Would probably also be enough to get my ass back to CDS.

Edit: Guess I'll actually watch that tubba biscuits video at some point too. Should push me more in one direction or another after watching a good pile of gameplay.

I'm pretty meh on KF 1. I've played it and it can be fun, but it's far too repetitive and you can't fight other players, only pc controlled zombies.

And Killing Floor 2 doesn't work on Windows 10 atm.
