Some reviewer also said you can't wear boots/shoes (!) under a robe, they are automatically unequipped.

HAHHAHAHA! How the fuck do they explain that? And I'm talking about rationalising it for the game-world, not giving us the real explanation, which is obvious (our incompetent graphics team were unable to prevent clipping issues, so we did the Bethesda Thing (tm) - CHUCK IT OUT!)
Robe? and boots http://www.gamereactor.se/media/elderscrolls4_40306.jpg well, i don't know if that is a robe, because it's not highlighted (sp?) in the inventory (like the boots and the gauntlets).

Some of these old threads on this subforum are great. I've been reading this one recently, people discussing Morrowind in a very lukewarm and generally uncomplimentary way in 2004:

Most threads from the run-up to Oblivion's release are proper laugh out loud stuff. Anything to do with MrSmileyFaceDude is absolute comedy gold, what an arsehole.

Comfy thread, very nostalgic.

Morroiwnd was very fun and immersive to me for the first couple hours - probably cause of the 1337 graphics.
Now that's an expression you don't hear a lot these days.

Exactly, I do not at all understand forums that forbid necromancy, except maybe religous forums. Whenever someone dig up a 20 year old thread it feels like I actually learn things, people were this and that back then, and that led to that and this. Reading an old thread is like reading a retrospective on some gaming site but written by the actual people being interviewed.

Also, old forum threads is why I dislike discord and the likes. Imagine trying to find a 30 year old discussion in the oblivion discord.
