Arcane
I am considering download this game. But been hearing that the PC optimization and the game's AI is absolute shit. Is there any truth to this?
Hey, it's 2016 lelelele!1No single player game should have an online only mode. Ever. Even Steam has an offline mode. Anyone who argues otherwise should be taken in the woods and shot in the back of the head in order to save humanity from their stupidity.
Not even that is an issue. You just don't need to stick an internet cable in your comp or have a wi-fi spot nearby to be able to play a single player game. That's equivalent to mandatory payment for TV broadcasting even if you don't have a tv set and are blind to boot, like the Germoney praxis. That's not the issue. The question is, what if I want to play this game a year from now? How about 2 years? 5? Will these assholes still be paying for their servers to continue running so I can play the game I bought from them at a time of my choosing?
Either you are incredibly retarded or that good at sarcasm, I can't tell.
This game is awesome. Not really seeing the interest drop, quite the contrary. People get hyped for new episodes, and they drop almost once a month.
I believe they said it'll be done in early 2017 january.
Like i've been saying. Business decisions doesn't really hurt the game itself. The game is awesome.
So what? DRM always online? Get over it, please. Episodic content? Get over it, you don't need to play everything at once all the time, just wait and be patient, go outside.. look at the sun.. meet some people, instead of sit at home like the basement dwellers you are.
Can't wait for Italy. It's gonna be even more awesome than Paris.
Pretty common tactic for episodic games with 'monthly' releases. Telltale did this all the time before they just gave up and stopped promising delivery dates staggering two or more months apart.Eh. There goes the promise of 'monthly releases'. Might as well release it in May, which is what they said they'd do with the third episode. I seriously doubt half the people who bought the intro pack will even be interested in this shit when it finally comes out (probably sometime in 2022). I'm certainly losing interest already, especially when you take into account all of IO's other shenanigans. In case people didn't know, they just released a statement saying they wont fix the horrendous 'always online' bullshit. It's a fucking feature, they say.
Yeah, fuck this game.
Hitman episodes may fall behind their monthly schedule
Hitman developer Io-Interactive initially said it would launch each subsequent episode in its stealthy assassination game on a monthly basis, but it looks like there's a chance it might slide on that.
The developer noted on Twitter, "We're aiming for a monthly release per episode but this is subject to change."
This doesn't necessarily mean any episodes will be delayed, but it certainly suggests it.
Hitman has already seen a few delays. Its impending second episode, Sapienza, will be released on 26th April. That's still technically within the timeframe the developer announced, but nearly two months after the game's 8th March release. Likewise, the Elusive Contracts mode - asking players to tackle timed missions that can only be played once - have been delayed as well.
On the plus side, Io has been regularly updating the game with new free content, including Escalation Contracts and the Vampire Magician Challenge Pack.
