One thing that LundB is missing is that Hatred was well on its way to being Greenlit by the community with good popularity and interest. And so removing it then was effectively countermanding their own system and - I think - censorship.

Greenlight has no system, the games that graduate to Steam are chosen arbitrarily, according to GabeN's whims. This has always been so, stop pretending like "The Community Has Spoken" has some meaning in this context. GabeN is a Tyrant. One Man, One Vote.

At some point 300 titles were greenlit in a month. I really don't think God-Emperor GabeN himself checked them individually.

Apparently Gabe was not aware of its initial removal from Greenlight. Probably some low level SJW said NOT IN MY STEAM. Gabe then saw the tons of press it was getting and knew he'd make a shitload of money taking 30% off sales.

Still doesn't suddenly make the voting mean shit. They can put hundreds of games on their service and refuse thousands more, no matter their popularity, and it still would not be censorship in any way, shape or form. Steam is GabeN's plaything, if he decides he does not want to carry your game there is nothing you can do about it, no matter its popularity. What's next, a thing should be done, because there is a Change.Org petition going on? Fuck off.

Man, the Antagonist can sure take a beating.
I wasn't expecting the player to be that tough :/
He died very fast on the potatostream.

And Gaben demanded Hatred be on Steam, and so it was.

And that's the good thing about Steam. That's also why I don't think Steam gave in to "censorship" claims. GabeN just didn't like the decision of one of his minions, so he reversed it. GabeN (is he a libertarian?) always rants about he doesn't want to interfere what developers do as long as it's legal and not porn. And even for the latter they allow huge sticky notes in their forums on how to download uncensor patches for their latest animu releases.

I don't think LundB understands what SJWs are or do and nobody made a "legal" argument about them being legally required to do or not do something.

He's kind of trying to channel Jonathan McIntosh as far as I can tell:

Yeah because change.org is the same as their own system they are promoting to replace the old way of no rhyme and reason to getting on Steam. No matter what you think in your head, in their PR they take note of what gets popular on Greenlight and it gets on the store with no exceptions. The first one would have been Hatred, and that's why it made news.

Personally I think it was those Old Man Murray fags who pushed for the censoring(they are SJWs or they wouldn't have had their dicks sucked by RPS for so long), and I'm a bit fearful of what they will turn Valve into once gabeN is gone.

Fuck off. GabeN is a fair and wise King, always willing to take advantage of our lack of willpower and self respect to rape our wallets give his faithful awesome discounts on games. Also, anyone unwilling to admit that Steam plays a MAJOR part on the recent market shift from consoles back to computer gaming is a naive fool. And I'd take a greedy fatty that can't count to three over a SJW censorship-loving-CUCK any day. ALL HAIL KING GABEN!!

When come the rape and babykilling mods?

Probably around the same time as the Auschwitz gas chamber operator mods.

Nah man, Hatred's thing is "DAT PERSONAL TOUCH". Look at dem executions. Gas chamber would be totally out of place here. The Antagonist is all about giving each and every one a piece of his heart. Individual attention all around. Flipping a switch is not really his thing...

Yeah, but this could be a total conversion. A visually stunning piece of art where you stand in perfect German posture wearing a stylish Hugo Boss nazi uniform where the only player input is flipping a switch with a stiff hand motion and then you watch Untermenshen die while Erika blasts in the background. It would join the illustrious ranks of Dear Esther, The Path and other art games as an example that games can be more than just brainless shooters!

Oh, now there's an interesting idea. Since gameplay is no longer important, the world might be ready for "a new take" on "artsy" games. Make the main protagonist a black-tranny-with-pink-hair and SJW's won't even protest the whole "genocide thing". So long as the people dying are all white men, ofc.

Performance issues aside, it seems like tb was complaining about him being shit at games, that and a lot of nitpicking.

That's... pretty bad.

Also I am somewhat sure nuclear reactors do not work that way.
