Here is a handful of tips for those new to Underrail or those who want to beat Hard dificulty.

1. Always get 6 agility and 7 dex for quick tinkering. Being able to make instantly a bear trap in tight places on lvl 4 is very important, and sprint allows you to run away and hide behind corner. Quick tinkering is best feat in game hands down. DONT play those 3 dex/3agi builds you see over internet!
2. 3 Strenght for knife/unarmed builds, 5 for snipers, 7 for SMG/Assault rifles, 10++++++ for hammers/metal gloves.
3. 10 Constitution builds with Thick skull are good but 3 con builds are good also, as long you play smart.
4. Drop inteligence to 3. Crafting feats are not worth it, unless you play specific energy pistol build, in that case you want to get it to 7. Or get it to 5/6 on melee builds for fighting feats/armor slopping/weaponsmith.
5. Drop will to 3 unless you play knife build then go 5. If you play PSI heavy char you want it at 15-16 late game.
6. Dont use metal armors unless you play heavyweight feat based sledgehammer build. In that case you want 95% armor penality for extra dmg.
7. Sledgehammer builds are oriented around super slam or heavyweight. On super slam build you want as much HP as possible, on heavyweight as much crit multipler/crit chance as possible.
8. Dont pick point shot or rapid fire on other builds than pistol builds.
9. You probably want to max dodge and evasion on most builds. If you cant affort points in one of those two then evasion have higher priority.
10. Always use/craft equipment that suplements your feats and build.
11. Max stealth on crossbow/sniper builds. On melee chars you probably want put some, but not max. On rest you can get away with 1 pt + equipment for some quests.
12. Crafting obiously is important, because you dont always get what you want from shop. Also with high quality leathers or weapon frames your dmg/defense will be higher.
13. Use drugs and energy shields for crazy impossible fights.
14. Try to get armor penality as low as possible. 0 with nimble is best.
15. Consider sniper/assault rifle guy as your first char. By lvl 6 you will hit up to 500 with snipe and shoped sniper rifle.

This is it for now, i will probably update it later.

Hard mode doesn't railroad you into any character builds. Plenty are viable.
