    Signed up. The best way to see if an MMORPG will be crap or not is to play beta. Never had an MMOG change significantly from beta to retail.

    I haven't played any Korean MMO (I assume you have some experience in this matter), but I don't think you get so well made cities like Divinity's Reach in Korean MMOs.

    EDIT: But seriously, I don't get it. What's so "Korean-looking" in GW2?

    The art style has always been similar to the style in Korean mmos/games, actually more so in GW1. Not sure if it's because of NCsoft publishing or just they hired a Korean artist.

    But any Korean influence is solely relegated to art style. GW1 is like on the opposite end of the spectrum from Korean/Asian MMOs. And GW2 is still pretty far away.

    Character art and much of the armor art has a Korean vibe. It did so in GW1 (not only Factions) and it does so in GW2. As long as they don't over do it Perfect World style I don't see any problem there.
    The actual problem is over the top particle effects and pointless weak monster grinding that the newer GW2 videos show. Those are reminiscent of bad Korean/Asian mmos.
