Didn't even know they were making a second, cheers for the heads up!

Also that x-ray testicle shot reminds me of an American Football game where the same happened in an injury, except the testes leaked fluid alongside rupturing.

What. The. Fuck. What was the thought process behind having a feature like this in the game?
E: actually, it's not that hard to imagine :hearnoevil:

Is the first Sniper Elite any good? Or are there any sniper games that aren't made by crappy eastern european devs with shit production values?

It's pretty good. The AI is sometimes a little psychic, there's a fair bit of forced close quarters combat at certain stages but the fun of the game is making crazy shots.

Yeah reckon I'll give it a try since the PC demo for V2 isn't out yet ('later this month'... so in other words the 30th : x) .

Sniper Elite wasn't made by "crappy eastern european devs". And yes, it's good. The visuals aren't too pretty (it's a 2005 game), but the game is fun and pretty challenging.

If Rebellion is making this one I fully expect it to be a failed direct gameplay rip of the first one with graphical overhaul like they did with AVP.

I like the idea of a realistic sniper game w/ coop multiplayer. Working in pairs is how it's really done so it makes too much sense not to if you're going for realism. "WHOA U JUST EXPLODED HIS BALLS *E for fistbump*"

SE is far from being realistic

Considering you can survive a direct blast from a panzer/tiger and run away, heal up and get back in it... yeah it's nowhere close.

The shooting was fairly realistic for a mainstream release though.

Like I said above I'd love a realistic coop sniper game but most gamers don't have the patience for that type of thing.

Sniping as a team in project reality was lots of fun, I'm sure there are also lots of sniping missions for ARMA2 if you prefer extra realism.

I hate to say this but the first Sniper Elite was better on console because those versions supported co-op. I played the Xbox version to death with a friend of mine and we download the PC version from steam only to learn that it doesn't support any form of co-op play.

Hah, this just in. The PC version will receive a Team Deathmatch multiplayer mode with dedicated servers, supporting up to 12 players. Rebellion actually financed the PC version by themselves, and they said it will receive more love than the sub-par consoletard edition. :salute:

I can't wait for the friggin demo.
