Hey guys just thought I'd ask here ask since can't find any info on this anywhere else but I'm having issues getting the game to work properly since all buildings/walls etc end up invisible with only the UI and the characters along with NPCs and some objects visible - doors and usable objects can be highlighted if the cursor is dragged over them. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it to work - I've tried both 1.8 and 1.7 - both have the same issues.

For starters, if you are running it in Windowed mode, it is probably why, as it is not meant for it. If not, do you have old DirectX files in your system? If you are running Win7, they won't be in by default..you need a runtime of pre-2010 release for those..following that, have you tried running it with different graphics drivers (roll backs)?
It has a ton of issues as it is, so this may well be something else entirely, but what you describe..cannot say

Yeah I'm not sure what it is I've got directx9.0c installed so not sure if it's directx and I'm using XP. I've attached a screenshot so you have a better idea of what I'm talking about.

Hah I updated my graphics card driver and now it works - figures it'd be something counter intuitive since this is an older game. Maybe praying at the altar of MCA first helped

It won't help when you get to the sewers.

I got to the sewers they're not that bad - managed to kick the Maleficanums arse. Loving the game so far and definitely gonna have to replay it after I finish just so I can go down the evil path.

    *Warning Spoilers Below*

I just want to see what's going on with House Baern and Zephyros - found it interesting after killing Cidwr the druid for Bargilof that I was told to go help him - wandering what he's trying to gain from all this. I think there maybe something in the mines to do with what's going on. Seems like there's more to it that just certain folk just been evil monsters of some sort.
