    Hello fellow Codexians!

The rumours you heard are true: Very soon there will be another round of multiplayer codex grand strategy galore for everyone to enjoy!
However, this thread is not the formal announcement of those games yet. You're not signing up for any game here.

What I want you to do is list all of Paradox' Grand Strategy Titles running on the Clausewitz engine in your posession, as well as the time you'd prefer to play these games.

    Regarding the time:
    - You need to be able to set a few hours away for those games, preferrably a whole evening (4 to 6 hours).
    - You can enter multiple times.
    - Don't forget your timezone.

    Regarding the games:
    - List all of PI's GSGs in your posession. The list is below.
    - If you do not have the latest expansion for the respective game, do not bother putting it on the list. We're not going to bother hosting games on outdated game versions.
    - If you do not want to be considered for a certain game (because you don't like it or whatever), also do not bother putting it on the list.

    Available PI GSG games:
    - Europa Universalis 3: Divine Wind (EU3)
    - Hearts of Iron 3: For the Motherland (HOI3)
    - Crusader Kings 2: Sword of Islam (CK2)
    - Victoria 2: A House Divided (V2)
    - Sengoku (SEN)

    Communication
Communication will be handled primarily via the Codex Diversity Squad Chat Group on Steam. If you need an invite, simply ask. This is why we need your Steam ID. If you do not have steam, that is ok but you'll have to live with the fact that you'll be in the dark about thingies and stuffies happening. The CDS is also a meeting-ground for codexers to play other games beside GSGs, so participate!

Please put your list of games as well as your preferred times in the thread and your steam ID below OR into this google spreadsheet (your data will end up there either way). (If someone starts pooping into that spreadsheet I'll restrict access.)

ENTER YOUR GAMES >>>> HERE <<<<

Update: Please also add your country.

    Example: raw (ningo@jabber.ccc.de): EU3, HOI3, CK2, V2 // Sundays 18:00 - 0:00 GMT+2 (Germany)

    If you're a newbie:
Perfect! Participating in a multiplayer game is arguably the best way to learn the ins and outs of GSGs. Many newer players are initially put off and confused by the sandbox nature of GSGs but these games are actually a lot easier than you think. And since this is multiplayer, we can help you overcome the challenges you're facing in-game. So, sign up right away!

Mandatory participant list (will be punished if not attending) :
    - Multi-Headed Cow (will have all his brofists purged)
    - Grunker (will be trimmed to Codex Wand)

    Update 17.06.2012

    Wippien
Since PI's Metaserver is a hassle (and of course PIRATES YARRRRR) we will be using VPN to connect to our games. A VPN is a virtual private network over the internet. Many people probably know Hamachi, that basically does exactly that. However, Hamachi is out of the question since the max number of participants that can share a VPN is 5, unless you pay for it. Instead we will be using Wippien for our VPN needs. The advantages of Wippien are
    • unlimited members in your VPN
    • everyone in your friendlist is automatically part of your VPN
    • uses jabber
Wippien is basically VPN with Jabber on top of it. One of the many advantages of using Jabber is that it allows for group chats, so called conferences. Turns out, conference chat in Wippien is shitty though. It's usuable only and only if you made a jabber account on jabber.org. If not you're out of luck, but you can of course use any other application with Jabber support to connect to the conference room. I recommend Pidgin. If you're using multiple IMs like AIM, Yahoo Messenger, MSN, ICQ and what not you want to condense all of them into one application anyway (because it's handy), so download it.
Again, this step is only neccessary if you want to join the jabber group. If not, simply download Wippien, create Jabber account and add your codex bros.

    The Jabber group details are:
    Name: codexgsg
    Password: decline
    Gateway: jabber.org

Codex bros jabber id's upon request, mine is ningo@jabber.ccc.de.
Important: This means you don't have to give us your Steam ID at all now. However, you are required to give us your jabber id, otherwise you can't play. Add them here.

I, JagreenLern, King of Ireland and Socialist Worker's Party candidate for the presidency of the United States, would enjoy playing with you guys. I've got:

    HoI3: For the Motherland
CK2: Sword of Islam (buying as soon as it comes out, probably going to LP it too)

Now can someone send me and invite for Codex Diversity Squad? I'm also JagreenLern on Steam.

No such thread can be free of my person!

    Malakal:
EU: DW - I have it original IIRC but my internet copy also works fine
CK2: SoI - got it, will buy SoI as soon as it drops in price a bit.
Vic2: AHD - got it from the internet and it will remain as such since I am not playing it, could play MP though since its always fun

BTW we have a game running in EU3: DW multi and it saddens me to say but its empty of Codex people. Fell free to join: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/painting-the-map-pretty-colours-multiplayer.72854/

Yes I saw that but there will be a patch soon that roots out some very grave annoyances. We'll be playing a new game of EU3 once that patch hits.

well, we currently have 7 people available in EU timezone and 2 in a shitty timezone (Brut, Kosmo) that have to do some juggling. we're still missing a lot of people from the last round and many that showed interest haven't posted here aswell.
the games won't start before SOI and 5.2 are released, so there is ample time to sign up and sort out shedules.
