Yes, it's a great game. It's less like Empire Earth, however, and more similar mechanically to Age of Empires/Mythology, but with a timeline that runs from the middle ages up to WW2.Also they released a game by the Empire Earth devs https://af.gog.com/game/empires_dawn_of_the_modern_world?as=1649904300 has anyone played it? I love EE to death and if it's worth it I might get this one
So much this.pippin said:While I kinda hate how Gog has been doing things lately, ther's so much you can do when the entire industry sucks ass.
That's because achievements is tracking tool used by developers. With it devs can make games based on them.I read that achievements are actually demanded by some developers.

There is a list of games that are going to get Galaxy installer. From a quick glance at my account, they haven't added Galaxy to older game installers.
tldr: they will introduce classic offline installers along the new ones - expect to find them hidden in a help/support submenu :D
I doubt GOG will maintain two different installer versions on affected titles for very long.

Whenever I look at GOG there's a Witcher franchise sale, except when I actually want to buy Blood and Wine to complete my Witcher 3 collection.
Can you, though? Nobody offers the service GOG does, that I know of.There is a list of games that are going to get Galaxy installer.

Only ones from that list that I own are AvP classic, TWoM, Dex, and Witcher 1/2. I have the installers backed up already. If they decide to make Galaxy mandatory and it messes with my experience, I can always take my money elsewhere.
There are some (much, much) smaller DRM-free digital stores. Can you, though? Nobody offers the service GOG does, that I know of.
That said, if GOG goes down the DRM/Bloatware route, there's literally zero incentive to using GOG, so why bother? People already get Steam trash because "They want it all in one place". If GOG loses the things that makes GOG GOG, then they have truly lost.
What? Saints row 2 GOG version runs under 30 fps on the lowest settings for me yet the STEAM version runs far better
You got fuckadoodled if you bought the season pass because it wasn't actually any cheaper than just buying them as they came out (both DLCs were 10% off a few days before release). And because Blood and Wine wasn't worth the money. You didn't get the season pass? Then you must suffer...
