Pierre is a weird guy. KotC is practically made for GoG. He could be the next Jeff Vogel, but instead he decided to be crazy.

Come to think of it, it would be pretty interesting to see those two have a discussion about digital distribution and pricing. IIRC Vogel was also pretty stubborn about that stuff for a long time before he realized how much dough he could rake in from people who would never have given his games a second glance when they were only available on his site for $10-20. (Although I got the sense that pride is more of a factor for Pierre than economic concerns, while it was the other way around for Vogel.)

Speaking of Star Trek, I'd like to see Star Trek Armada on GOG.

I've heard of KotC just recently, but the maker's story is pretty interesting to me. That, and the Codex review is pushing me to make a purchase for it.

libertarians gotta have that integrity ya know

Play the demo, then you will buy it for sure.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I see Troika has quite a reputation for making flawed gems- first Arcanum then Vampire: Bloodlines both unplayable without fan made patches.

Those assholes just launched their summer sale so now I'm stuck spending even more time and money on games. Screw you, GOG.

Seriously, though. This is just a PSA that summer sale is now live. Lot of really solid games for dirt cheap. I mean you can get Arcanum for the price of a chocolate bar.

I got Arcanum since I will inevitably try to replay it again soon, and this price is good enough for saving me the hassle of installing it from CDs - not to mention finding them first.

So I could buy Arcanum for a dollar and a half and also get SimCity 2000 for free. Hm...
:philosoraptor:

Wait, when the fuck are they going to add SimCity 3000 to the catalog? That one has always been my favourite!
