The only question it came from my mind was why the dude didn't commit mass genocide against the mexicans with his recoiless M16 that is actually a sniper rifle and why didn't he use his wolverine powers? I mean, you are a wolverine using 100% accurate recoiless weapons that can tag all your enemies... why all that fagotry of pretending stealth is even required or a good idea? Ubisoft games , always required you to larp hard pretending there is actually gameplay in there but, at least, Ass Creed 2 was a decent italian tourist climbing simulator and Ass Creed 4 had ships. The only thing this piece of shit has is the banal, shit, boring, Ubisoft gunplay that is completely pointless. How someone can stand this crap for hours and hours?

I love the team talking stuff in Ubisoft videos. I call those people the Chads. I imagine they all live in a loft somewhere, eating cereal bars and having really deep discussions about moisturizer. Sometimes they drink too much red wine and Chad 1 (the beard) will get a bit weepy about The Crew but then Chad 2 (the token Afbro) comes in and touches him and they make love then after they've wiped the semen off the sheets they go play The Division with Chad 3 (the floppy fringed bitch) and Chad 4 (the 30 year old one trying to fit in.) One day one of them will accidentally tell a co-worker about the other Chads and they'll contact the FBI who discover they're a terrorist cell and they'll send in a team of Brads to wipe them out

Ubisoft sandbox. Nuff said. They could churn these out forever with constantly changing settings but it would always be instantly recognisable as a Ubisoft sandbox. Did lol at the massive view distance and clear visibility though. In a thunderstorm. Nice.

I also love the fabulous USA-friendly narrative: bunch of spec ops go somewhere, get the rebels to fight for them, then promptly bail while the rebels get slaughtered. Beautiful. Just beautiful.

I actually liked that nod to reality.

Somebody needs to make a proper sequel to Seal Team. Loved the mission where, after the mission where you kill a VC cadre, you ambush his funeral to kill shitloads of gooks.

So, what we see here is the modern definition of "Stealth Approach". Let's blow shit up and start a firefight. But hey, our guns are suppressed so we get to look all tacticool.

There's a bit of stuff that rubs me the wrong way, like how they are crouching undetected 20m away from the bad guys.
I could sorta, kinda turn a blind eye to it in the previous ghost recon where they had those stealth field generators, but this is hilarious.

Or those sniper shots, do they really have to come with a quake 3 railgun effect?

Still, I am a sucker for all that 356 weapons with 976 attachments spiel. If they actually deliver on the promise and there will be noticeable differences in bullet drop etc. I'll probably still demo it just to get my gunporn fix.
In the last GR the audio did a decent job at making the player feel like a part of an actual team, playing around with it in a more open setting actually feels appealing.
Wonder how big of a trainwreck will the AI be.

Ubisoft keeps delivering. Failure is not a word that can ever be associated with this studio, it seems.

I'm proud to support the development of this game with my pre-purchase, half a year before release. I know full well those funds will be going to the further enhancement of what appears to be a masterpiece of gaming. :salute: :incline:

Although i'd like to see a better MGS 5
Obviously. Legendary director Kojima-san is a masterful storyteller, but in terms of game design he cannot compare to Ubiwizards.
I look forward to spending my spring in Bolivia... maybe not just spring, looking at that map and imagining it filled with quality Ubi content makes me queasy.
Mr Kay has spoken wisely

IMO even twice that price would be small for something like this. just imagine the amount of effort that those good people at Ubisoft have spent on this.

:what:

I like Ubisoft games, but why the fuck would I pay $200 or $400 for a videogame? Lets be reasonable here. 60 is plenty, and I'm not against anyone who wants to wait for a discount.

So, in practice, it looks like a mix between Far Cry 4 and Ghost Recon Future Soldier that has gotten some of the retardation from both sides of the family.
While it could potentially result in a better game (it's not like it's a major feat), I can already see the the typical ubisoft sandbox no. 41 underneath the surface.

I'll get it because of gun porn. I expect a blander, uninspierd MG:TPP clone.

Also, i just watched one of the videos above with people going

in co-op. Looks kinda fun, the sad part is... this once used to be realistic tactical shooter

Back in the day Ghost Recon was a poor man's OFP. Smaller maps, but still kind of open, with tactical gameplay, and generally enjoyable. And now we get yet another third person cover shooter. Fuck this.
