A Romance of Three Kingdoms X mechanic, but set in Sengoku era of Japan. I love me some Japan-centric stuffs like that :weaboo: :desu:
A Romance of Three Kingdoms X mechanic, but set in antiquity era of Greece/Roman. I love me some Greco-Roman-centric stuffs like that. I might cream in my pants thinking about it, so I try not to imagine such games. :killit:

A fucking proper sequel to FT, or Silent Storm. I mean, a fucking turnbased, squadbased, destructible environment, roster management, inventory management, gunporn, RPG-lite, game. Is that too much to ask for? (JA2->FT->S2/3->????) :argh:

I recall one of the Sir Tech guys stating in a codex interview that gun enthusiasts helped the sales of JA series, so I wonder if that might be an explaining factor (besides general anti TB derp and multiplatform faggotry) in why there haven't been any recent games like that. For all its faults, the big appeal behind the modern Call of Duty games is the gun porn. Big roster of contemporary guns to choose from that you can modify in many ways. Where as in more balanced and well designed FPS games you can't fuck around and roleplay with guns as much. There are basically 4 optimal weapons in Counter Strike: M4/AK47, Desert Eagle and AWP. It doesn't matter that much which of the 10-15 different assault rifles you decide to use in COD, so it's more about choosing a set up that pleases you personally.

Medieval life sim. Basically "The Guild 2" without game-breaking bugs or "Europa 1400: The Guild" with more activities to do.
That, but with protagonist from roughly modern time. Like "Yankee at Arthur's Court" or "Lest Darkness Fall".

Another World of Darkness, ala Bloodlines, and hopefully a good Ultima Underworld successor. System Shock 3. And, yes, Arx Fatalis 2. In fact, I wouldn't mind another Ultima altogether.

Along with remakes of Dark Heart of Uukrul and Azrael's Tear, and Realms of the Haunting.

A proper Thief game.

Oh, and Lands of Lore IV. ;) xD

Syndicate and JA2 non-crap remake.

Redone Half Life 1 & Doom games.

Also, an RPG based on Frank Herbert's Dune.

Maybe a proper Silent Hill sequel, and Eternal Darkness, if well done.

Basically, anything Looking Glass.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Medieval 2, but with:
-Proper politics/diplomacy. Dialogue with faction leaders.
-More factions, more historically accurate, creation of new factions, mutation of existing factions.
-Better AI.
-More choice in rule, how to rule, law, system of law, justice, religion, etc.
-More (optional) simulationist features like armies dying of starvation and dehydration.
-Map of the whole world.
-A non-retarded battle camera god damnit.

A B.P.R.D. xcom-like game.

More and better party based top down rpgs.

  • A Cold War-themed immersive sim (the likes of Deep Cover)
  • A sequel to Arkane Austin's Prey (the classic Deus Ex level design team deserve better than working on a fucking GaaS multiplayer bullshit :argh:)
  • Human Head's Prey 2 (The Quiet Man was abysmal, the new Rune is looking... underwhelming at best, so maybe it was for the best)
  • SWAT 5 (Hopefully, Ready or Not will be good :salute:)
  • A proper single-player Rainbow Six (doubtful it's going to happen anytime soon since Siege is making all the monies)
  • Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 (the way Paradox is handling the IP, this one won't ever see the light of day *rimshot*)
  • The full version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

World of Darkness RPG, turn based, like shadowrun dragonfall (make your own story, all splats supported), easy modding, great writing with tons of twists and skill based responses.

Also a WW1 Game where you really feel the depression and desperation of a trench.

Severance: Blade of Darkness 2 (or a proper remake)

Dragon's Dogma 2

New F-Zero.

A game in the vein of Far Cry 2 but with MGS5 gameplay.

A Captain America action game with great levels and gameplay.

E.Y.E. 2 (with polished mechanics, better enemy design, good animations+sound FX - so that the combat feels better - and more guns and powers).

Startrail 2 (with combat and enemy design as excellent as BB).

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. the RPG, it'd make great light steampunk western rpg, with Bruce Campbell voicing the lead character (or Brisco County in big supporting role). Not too many well made western games.

A historic/low fantasy RPG set up in the 18-19th centuries in a generic West Africa with :
  • splendid maps inspired by the traditional architecture of African cities (Timbuktu, Agadez, Djenné) and villages, historic colonial cities (Gorée, Saint Louis, Grand Bassam), Portuguese / Dutch forts (Elmina, Cape Coast etc), and located in 2 different climatic environments:
    • equatorial
    • Sahelian
  • A multitude of cool factions:
    • the traditional African animist (like Akan people) and Muslim (Fula, Dagboni, Dioula) kingdoms with their castes, orders, sects and corporations, sedentary or nomadic lifestyles and opposition/collaboration/submission stances towards colonists
    • rival colonial powers (ex : anglo-saxon protestant Empire/ French atheist Republic/a latin catholic monarchy/Dutch-like trading company) with distinct strategies, philosophies (pure trade and wealth vs. civilizing and governing or a mix of both, supporters and opponents of slavery, interracial marriage etc.)
    • mercenaries, Syriac/Moroccan traders etc
