Just thought I would give a heads up to anybody who doesn't have it, that Fallout 1 is free today on GOG.com.

Edit: Free for the next 48 hours actually so today and tomorrow.

If GOG made an account here, and posted in here, I would give them a BROfist.

Also did Zenimax/Bethesda really allow this????

Maybe it's a last 'fuck you' from Caen? Nice gesture, maybe it will be picked up by various portals and some people will gravitate to it and see what they've been missing all these years while a few may even give to W2?

Maybe those that don't have it should be listed at the top of this thread in order to be ridiculed and ostracized.

    Good idea.

But seriously, in this place owning Fallouts (both of them) should be mandatory.

I have the original big box, but will download anyway. GOG games come in a nice DRM-Free .exe file, and my CD won't last forever...

I still own the CD's for Fallout and Fallout 2. But having a second GOG copy in case some day my CD fails is nice. Like my stupid fucking #4 CD of Baldurs Gate finally died a few years past, so I now have the GOG version.

And it's $19.99 too. I can get a boxed version for half of that.

Got big box copies and Steam copies and not removed from inventory GoG copies to overwrite the Steam copies since the Steam copies aren't rejiggered and have fucked up colors on my modern machine like my big box copies, and now I have a legit GoG Fallout 1 copy. :kfc:

Though there's probably some easier solution to fixing the colors issue that doesn't involve pirating potatoes, but eh. Hard to feel very bad about it when you already own the games twice.

For a good game I'd gladly pay 10 euros extra for a DRM free version.

I just grabbed it and bound it to my account. I travel on business, and it's nice to have these there so you can start the 500 Mb download and 3 days later viola! The 56k dial-up in the hotel has fallout all downloaded for you ready to play at the airport on your way out of town.

I always considered the temple to be a good moron indicator. Like the spirit meter in MOTB, THACO in AD&D and countless of other things which make feel good about myself.
