I'm so excited to play this game! I really hope it starts getting some more recognition in the coming months. It looks like they have made all the changes they needed to make to their Expeditions formula.

Also, this game really deserves a thread in General RPG Discussion. I feel like a large portion of the codex has no idea about this game.

Not much points since most people are too busy fawning over the latest upcoming garbage FPS.

Remember when everyone was excited about Conquistador and it turned out being uterly Mediocre...
Conquistador did a fuckton of cool things. It's main problem was lack of interesting character customization, and it looks like they've fully addressed that.

Well, and I hope they've rebalanced the wound/disease/starvation death spiral system.

Conquistador has a boring world, boring characters, extremely simple quests, extremely simple combat. It front loaded the fun gameplay bits at the start, with some interesting writing and situations, but then it went downhill from there and hit rock bottom once you reached mexico.

Unless they change most of the game mechanics for the better... not seeing this being a hit.

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
This game doesn't even appear to be the same genre as Expeditions: Conquistador, so I'm not sure what the value is of comparing them.

The main problem was that combat was too easy when you got a handle on it (and some upgraded characters), so there was often no penalty for getting a fight option from a text adventure.

It was otherwise one of the most interesting rpgs I've played.
