PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
Seeing as this parasitic term is being abused to the degree where it's lost any meaning,

Given the recent release of ELEX and KCD,

Adhering to my practice of harassing people with limited vocabulary for being dumb and their opinion on games being worthless,

I propose

Every time someone writes "eurojank" a php script should translate it to a form like: eurojank

I submit this proposal for the consideration of the Grand Vizier and the Imperial Senate of the Galactic Empire.

Thank you!

What I take negative is not the fact that one game or another is being called some way.

It's the word itself that I want to ridicule, because "janky" with all its byproducts has become a meaningless buzzword. I want to ridicule the people who 1) don't know what they are talking about, and 2) don't know how to properly describe something, and thus turn to this meaningless word.

The OP feels kinda janky to me. Are you perchance European? I sort of agree with it, but it could have been better with more time and resources. Still, I like eurojank OPs over other not as thought out OPs.

the term has become such a joke that it has now become a badge of honour
A meme from some other internet community because look at how rarely it was used on the Codex until KCD.

Both games are precisely the definition of jank though, as in "imitating something else, but of poor quality." I liked ELEX, but its ambition outweighs the developer's resources resulting in a lot of good-idea-questionable-execution type stuff, and watching videos of KCD, it looks like the same.

These games are often liked because they care about ambition before caring about finish, but I mean, that makes the jank-term totally applicable.

Please tell me how "imitating something else, but of poor quality" is a description which you can't apply to 90% of videogames. If we didn't need parasitic words up to now, we'll do fine without them in the future.
